The show dates above will be holding MIDARC (M), Equifest (EQ), Amateur Showing Society (AS) Royal London (RL) and Cricklands Qualifiers (C). This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 13 th 17 th August The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. This Show is affiliated to MIDARC UK and runs qualifiers for the National Championships full details may be viewed at In classes 9, 11, 16, 24, 27, 30, 31, 43, 50, 51 1 st -3 rd qualify for the amateur showing society national championships. Full details can be found on or telephone Competitors have 28 days to become a member to retain the qualification First, second and third placed horse/ponies not already qualified in eligible classes will qualify for the champion of Britain title classes to be held at the Royal London show in Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider /handler are, or become registered with the international showing society within 28 days of the qualifying show. No horse registration is required. For up to date information telephone the I.S.S secretary on (01425) / or see Membership. You can join as a south staffs member at anytime throughout the season. Becoming a member means you will be awarded points for each class you compete in. These points will accumulate over the season and there will be a champion and reserve champion of each class awarded at the awards evening. A minimum of 50% attendance at the shows must have been achieved by September for the points to count towards the awards evening. However points will not be backdated.

2 Due to south staffs reaching its 100 th show in 2014 we will be rewarding our members that attend all open shows. When competing at the September show, after 100% attendance you will be eligible to put your name in a box for a 100 cash prize!! The lucky name will be drawn at the end of the September show and presented at the awards evening on 15 th November GOOD LUCK! Contact details. Fences approx 2 0 (Entry Fees to this Classes will be Non Members 1.00 extra) All double clears will be awarded a 1 st place rosette. RING 3 - WORKING HUNTER START 10.30AM 0AM The following classes are open to Riders of any age, except where stated Ponies in this ring should be shown in a snaffle or double bridle If numbers warrant, awards will be made separately to Horses & Ponies Ponies and Horses may shown in any suitable bit (no bitless bridles for ponies) CLASS 9 CLASS 10 BEST HORSE / PONY OF RIDING CLUB / PONY CLUB TYPE (M, A, RL) This class is open to Riders of any age, Horses or Ponies, Horses to be ridden by Riders 13yrs & over. Competitors may be asked to jump a short course of small jumps WORKING HUNTER 1 9 (M, RL) Riders on the Lead Rein will be allowed to compete in this class. Novice Riders may be assisted. CLASS 11 WORKING HUNTER 2 0 (M, A) Lunchbreak Approx 30 minutes CLASS 12 WORKING HUNTER 2 3 (M) CLASS 13 CLASS 14 WORKING HUNTER 2 6 (M, EQ) Equifest qualifiers will be awarded in this class to horses exceeding 133cm and not exceeding 143cm, with riders that have not attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st Jan in the current year. WORKING HUNTER 2 9 (M, EQ, RL) Equifest qualifiers will be awarded in this class to horses exceeding 143cm and not exceeding 153cm, with riders that have not attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st Jan in the current year.

4 CLASS 15 WORKING HUNTER (M, EQ, RL) Equifest qualifiers will be awarded in this class to horses exceeding 148cm and not exceeding 158cm, with riders that have not attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st Jan in the current year. The first two placed in Classes will then be judged for the Working Hunter Championship The first two placed in Class 9 will join the Ridden Show Championship in ring 6 Ring 4 - IN HAND SHOWING START 10.00AM CLASS 16 IN HAND BEST TURNOUT CHAMPIONSHIP (M, A) Open to any age, any breed to be shown suitable for the breed CLASS 17 CLASS 18 CLASS 19 CLASS 20 CLASS 21 CLASS 22 CLASS 23 WELSH YOUNGSTOCK (M, RL) Open to all Welsh Breeds aged 3 yrs & under ANY OTHER BREEDS YOUNGSTOCK (M, RL) Open to all breeds except Welsh, aged 3 yrs & under WELSH 4 YRS AND OVER (M) Open to all Welsh Breeds aged 4 yrs & over ANY OTHER BREEDS 4 YRS AND OVER (M) Open to all breeds except Welsh, aged 4 yrs & over SHETLANDS & MINIATURE HORSES (M, RL) The class will be spilt if numbers warrant and qualification cards given to the highest placed in each category. DRIVING TYPE (M) NOT to be shown in harness. BEST COLOURED / SPOTTED. (M, EQ, RL) Open to Horses & Ponies Lunchbreak Approx 30 mins CLASS 24 BEST ANY BREED / ANY AGE (M, A) CLASS 25 CLASS 26 MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND. (M, EQ, RL) Horses and ponies in this class are to be shown in their natural state, ie untrimmed and unplaited. If the numbers warrant the class will be split into large and small breeds. ( Please indicate large or small on entry) BEST VETERAN (M, RL) Open to Horses & ponies aged 15yrs & over CLASS 27 MARE OR GELDING (M, A) Open to any age, any breed. Mares and geldings will be awarded separately if numbers warrant

5 CLASS 28 CLASS 29 SENIOR HANDLER (M, RL) Any Horse or Pony to be shown by handler 17yrs & over YOUNG HANDLER (M, RL) Any horse or pony to be shown by a handler 16yrs & under. Class will be split into by age if numbers warrant QUALIFYING PLACES FOR STALLIONS WILL BE AWARDED IN EACH CLASS ACCORDING TO THE MIDARC RULES. The first two placed from Classes will then be judged for the In Hand Show Championships RING 5 - LEAD REIN & JUNIOR SHOWING START 10.00AM The following classes are open to Riders 16 Years & Under, except where stated Ponies in this ring should be shown in a snaffle or double bridle. Lead Rein Handlers should be Aged 16yrs & over CLASS 30. LEAD REIN TURNOUT (M, A) Open to Riders 8 Years & under on the Lead Rein, Ponies 12.2hh & under to be shown plaited and trimmed NB: Rosettes will be awarded separately to M&M if numbers warrant. CLASS 31. JUNIOR TURNOUT (M, A) Open to all Riders 16yrs & under, Ponies 14.2hh & under and to be shown plaited and trimmed NB: Rosettes will be awarded separately to M&M if numbers warrant. CLASS 32. CLASS 33. CLASS 34. CLASS 35. LEAD REIN BEST RIDER (M) Open to Riders 8 Years & under on the Lead Rein, Ponies 12.2hh & under JUNIOR NOVICE RIDER (M) Open to all Riders 16Yrs & under, Ponies 14.2hh & Under. Ponies should be in a snaffle bridle. Classes up to 1st April 2014, Riders 16yrs & under Riders in this Class cannot enter Class 40 CLASS 40. BEST RIDING PONY (M, EQ, RL) Open to Ponies 14.2hh & under, Riders 16 Years & under CLASS 41. CLASS 42. LEAD REIN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND (M, EQ, RL) Open to Riders 8 Years & under on the Lead Rein, Ponies 12.2hh & under to be shown their natural state. NOVICE HORSE/ PONY This class is open to all breeds & types that do not fall into riding horse or pony Category. Ponies/ Horse should be in a snaffle bridle. The first two placed from Classes will then be judged for the Junior and Lead Rein Show Championship RING 6 - SENIOR RIDDEN SHOWING START 10.00AM Open to Horses or Ponies, Riders 17yrs & over, except where stated Please note class 42 in ring 5 is open to both novice horses and ponies CLASS 43 SENIOR BEST TURNOUT (M, A) This class is open to Horses, Ponies, Cobs, Traditionals, M&M etc. Riders may qualify for the following turnout championship classes M&M BTO, Senior BTO, Open BTO. CLASS 44 BEST SENIOR NOVICE RIDER (M) Open to Horses or Ponies, Riders 17yrs & over - Riders not to have won to won 3 x 1sts in any Best Rider Classes up to 1 st April Horses should be shown in a snaffle bridle. Horses should be shown in a snaffle bridle. Horses in this Class cannot enter Classes 45 BEST RIDING HORSE (M, EQ, RL) Open to Horses over 14.2hh, Riders 13yrs & over RIDDEN COB (M, EQ, RL) No height restrictions - Riders 13yrs & Over BEST RIDDEN VETERAN (M, RL) Open to Horses & Ponies aged 15yrs & over, Riders of any age CLASS 50 BEST FAMILY HORSE OR PONY (M, A) To be ridden by one person, but may require 2 riders at the championships. Lunch break Approx 30 mins CLASS 51 BEST UTILITY HORSE OR PONY (M, A) This Class is open to all Riders of any age, Horses or Ponies. This Class will be judged solely on the suitability of the horse / pony and the ridden show. CLASS 52 CLASS 53 CLASS 54 CLASS 55 CLASS 56 EX RACEHORSE (M, RL) Open to all ex-racehorses, Riders 13yrs & over. Will NOT be asked to canter collectively. RIDDEN HUNTER HORSE / PONY (M, EQ) Horses & Ponies, Riders any age Horses must be ridden by Riders 13yrs & over BEST RIDDEN COLOURED / SPOTTED HORSE OR PONY (M, EQ, RL) Horses & Ponies, Riders any age Horses must be ridden by Riders 13yrs & over RIDDEN PURE/PART BRED ARAB (M, RL) Open to all Pure and Part Bred Arabs, Riders of any age RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND (M, EQ, RL) Open to all Small and Large Breeds, to be shown in their natural state. Class will be split if numbers warrant and prizes awarded separately. The first two placed in Classes 9, will then be judged for the Ridden Show Championship The Champion and Reserve Champion from each ring will go forward to the end of day Show Championship in ring 6.
