Field Day, Ag Stills Day, and Fashion Revue to follow All Exhibits will be released after Awards Ceremony it is the member s responsibility to pick up their items Still exhibits provide 4-H members the opportunity to display the results of their project work indicating achievement and growth - this is not an event for school projects. WHO CAN ENTER? All 4-H members may exhibit and participate at the 4-H Home Ec, Ag Stills, and Fashion Revue. Ages are as of December 31 of the program year. Primary 4-H members are 5-8 year olds, and may show in any division. However, they will not be judged and will receive participation ribbons only. Junior members are 9 to 10 year olds, intermediate members are 11 to 13 year olds, and senior members are 14 years plus. HOW DO I ENTER? 2 Members unable to register by the deadline may enter a poster using the paper form in this Premium Book. See Division O. GENERAL GUIDELINES: 1. All exhibits must have been made by the 4-H member during the current 4-H year and under the supervision of a certified 4-H leader. To participate in this event member must be enrolled in the project to exhibit items. 2. The 4-H member is responsible for meeting check-in times. Late exhibits will not be judged. 3. The judges' decisions are final. All judges are volunteers and offer their expertise in evaluating 4-H project work. Respect should be given to those recruited as judges. 4. A successful 4-H Still Exhibits Fair takes the involvement of every 4-H member, leader and parent with lots of help from our 4-H friends! For class 2: a. Dummy cakes are acceptable. b. Do NOT cut your cake; only the outer appearance is judged c. Use cardboard or an unbreakable base. 2. Edible entries should be displayed on paper plates and placed inside a clear plastic bag and sealed. Minimum quantities: Muffins, biscuits, rolls, cookies and candies = ½ dozen plus one piece wrapped separately. Cakes and breads = ½ loaf plus one slice wrapped separately. 3. For Foods Preservation entries: One jar per entry and it will not be opened. Label canned products with method, date canned and name of product. Use standard canning jars only; others will be disqualified. All canned entries must be sealed. No frozen foods will be judged. Dried entries may be exhibited in plastic bags or on paper plates in a sealed clear plastic bag.
