2 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY We are Team JATAYU, a dynamic and dedicated team of Mechanical and Automation engineers from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi. Our team Designs and fabricates an ATV and run it in national as well as international competitions. The AIM of our team is to be the most skilled and innovative team in the world in the field of All Terrain Vehicles and to represent our country among the world s best and win. The team aims at making our vehicle lighter, faster and durable every season The team s main agenda for the next season is to be the national champions in Indian BAJA competitions and place in top 5 in the international BAJA which is going to be held in California, USA. Our VISION is to raise the standards of automotive competitions in India and to encourage all the engineers to be indulged in gaining more practical knowledge.

3 ABOUT THE COMPETITIONS Baja is an intercollegiate student design competition that evaluates the ATV on various parameters such as design, cost presentation, sales presentation and various dynamic events such as acceleration, maneuverability and a 4-hour long endurance event. After successfully completing all these events, the winner is declared. This year, we are going to participate in 4 competitions, out of which, one will be held in The U.S.A. and rest three will be held in INDIA. The Competition held at U.S.A is organized by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) and the best teams in the world participate in this competition. We aim at finishing at least among the top 5 in this competition which has never been achieved by an Indian team before. 5 Percentage TEAM HISTORY AND GROWTH Team Jatayu was created by the 2012 batch of MAIT. However, the rebirth of the team took place in 2014 and since then, the team has been growing and achieving at a rapid pace. Last Season, the team started its climb to success by being ranked 7th overall amongst 300+ teams.
