2 FIM MotoGP World Championship / Misano Loris Baz / Forward Racing / Yamaha YZR-M1 Smith and Baz winning bets 92,315 people invaded the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on 13 September to attend a San Marino Grand Prix that is expected to go down in history. Changing weather conditions inspired a variety of strategies among the contenders. Two of the four teams supported technically by Motul were particularly well inspired. Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider Bradley Smith bagged the best result of his career in MotoGP by mounting the second step of the podium. Loris Baz could also be proud of himself: the Frenchy had just shared an incredible 4th place with Yamaha Forward. Winner in Open, he is the new leader of the category in the championship! I looked at the sky before the start and thought that if it was going to rain it wouldn t be for long, commented Smith. I therefore decided not to stop to take my rain bike, unlike my contenders who made two stops since they returned to slicks at the end of the race! Loris Baz stopped twice but with a staggered timing. I was one of the first to switch to rain tyres. The important point was to pit after only six laps to return to slicks. The team-mates of the heroes of the day did not experience the same success and were deprived of the Top 15. In contrast, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales finished 10th and 14th for Suzuki. At Aprilia Racing Team Gresini, Bautista clinched the last point. 3 FIA World Rallycross / Lohéac Jean-Baptiste Dubourg / DA Racing / Citroën C4 Supercar The Dubourg family in a state of grace The team from Bordeaux, DA Racing, partnered technically by Motul on the international Rallycross scene, could be proud of the success of its drivers at Lohéac where the World and European championships stopped over on 5 and 6 September. The sons of Dominique Dubourg, European Autocross champion in 1992, aroused great passion in a crowd of an estimated 72,000 spectators. Jean-Baptiste took his Citroën C4 Supercar to 3rd place behind the superstars of World RX Timmy Hansen and Petter Solberg. At the wheel of his Renault Clio 2, Andréa for his part finished the French round of the EuroRX Super 1600 secondplaced. A candidate for the final podium at European level in Supercar ERX, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg offered himself a new escapade in the World championship at Lohéac. The only Frenchy qualified among the six finalists experienced this race like a dream awake: This third place really smacks of victory, it s exceptional, I am short of words to express all what I felt in the car! With its 550 hp, the C4 of the 2014 French Supercar vice-champion can pass from 0 to 100 km in less than 2 seconds French Rallycross vice-champion like his elder brother, but in Super 1600, Andréa Dubourg is also favouring Europe this season. His magnificent 2nd place at Lohéac allows him to climb to 6th place in the standings before the next event to take place in Barcelona from 18 to 20 September.

4 Russian Circuit Racing Series / Moscow Maxim Chernev / Uspensky Rally Technika / Subaru BRZ Victory for Chernev and a podium for Larionov The sixth Russian Circuit Racing Series event took place on 5 and 6 September on Moscow Raceway, a short drive from the Russian capital. Maxim Chernev, a member of the team partnered technically by Motul, Uspensky Rally Technika, took the win in Super Production class. In Touring, Vitaly Larionov finished 2nd. Hailing from Ekaterinbourg and a former distinguished karter, Maxim Chernev clinched pole position in his class but suffered during race 1 held under heavy rain. My Subaru BRZ is a rear-driven car, which didn t make life easy for me on a soaked track. I am pleased the task was completed and the points were earned. In race 2, I passed from 3rd to 2nd place at the start before putting pressure on Maxim Simonov. I finished by passing the Lada to clinch the win. He thus won the overall of the weekend. Super Production cars like Touring cars have two-litre engines and drive together in RCRS. Similar to WTCC cars, Touring cars are however more powerful. Although his team is called AMG Motorsport, Vitaly Larionov drives a BMW 320si in this class. He battled for two days with highly competitive Seats but former WTCC driver, Alexei Dudukalo, managed to get ahead of him in the two races and in the overall. 5 Independence Enduro / Minas Gerais Jomar Grecco / Orange BH KTM Factory Team Sportsmanship and team spirit triumph Orange BH KTM Factory Team bagged a 1-2 at the arrival of the Independence Enduro, the world s longest motorcycle regularity race. This event, organised in the state of Minas Gerais, takes place over four days and finished on 7 September, Brazil s national day. More than 400 riders took the start, riding in particular along the famous Estrada Real (royal road), built at the end of the 17th century to transport gold and precious stones discovered in the region by the Portuguese settlers. I prepared myself physically and psychologically very well. The problems during the race served to motivate me even more, stated Jomar Grecco, delighted to have won the Independence Enduro for the second time. He chalked up 126 points as against 103 for his team-mate Bruno Crivilin. The latter was also pleased with his result: It s a good result because regularity is not my strong category. On the last day, the race took on another dimension when Crivilin saw his team-mate Grecco struggling. He didn t hesitate to stop to help his friend and thus set him up for victory. 6 FIA ERC / Barum Czech Rally Zlín Vojtech Štajf - František Rajnoha / Subaru Duck Czech National Team / Subaru Impreza STI Subaru Duck Czech National Team in the lead of ERC2 Vojtech Štajf and his team-mate František Rajnoha took their Subaru Impreza STI to 2nd place in the ERC2 standings at the arrival of the seventh round of the European Rallies Championship held from 28 to 30 August. At the end of the Barum Rally Zlín, Subaru Duck Czech National Team, partnered technically by Motul, thus keeps the lead of the ERC2 drivers, co-drivers and teams championships reserved for four-wheel-drive Group N cars Initially, the team had planned to contend in six rallies this season: the Barum, on home turf, and five events abroad. The regulations lay down that seven results out of ten can be taken into account, explains the Czech driver. Our closest contenders, the Hungarian Botka and the Lithuanian Butvilas, chalked up points in the Barum. We are therefore not assured of the European title but don t intend to abandon the fight! We must therefore be at the start of the next round in Cyprus and defend our chances. The same dates as the Carrera Panamericana (a race also partnered by Motul) will prevent me in any case from being at the start in Greece for the Acropolis Rally. The title will therefore probably be up for grabs in Switzerland, at the Valais Rally... 7 Motul.Sport.News FIM MXGP / Leon Evgeny Bobryshev - Gautier Paulin / Team HRC / Honda CRF 450 RW Evgeny Bobryshev gets out of the dire situation The Mexican Grand Prix was a particularly demanding event for the elite of world Motocross riders. Heavy rain during the night of Saturday 12 to Sunday 13 September indeed transformed the Leon circuit into a quag- mire. The organisers were fortunately able to improve the terrain before the second race. The riders and teams supported technically by Motul fought for the podium but Evgeny Bobryshev alone managed to mount it on behalf of Team HRC. The rider of the Honda #777 pushed forward twice magnificently to secure a 3rd place which will be, at worst, his place in the championship. I have reached the goal set at the beginning of the year, commented the Rus- sian rider who can still become 2015 World vice-champion at the expense of the other rider of Team HRC, Gautier Paulin. After a fall in race one, the Frenchy was unable to do better than 6th in the Grand Prix. The positive point is to have secured two good starts. After my crash, I had mud in my gloves and had to wait for them to dry to get back to a good pace and return to the top 5. I battled fiercely forward in race two and, despite a few mistakes, obtained the same result. 5th in the Grand Prix is not so bad after all!
