RUNNING OF THE BAJA 3.1 Itinerary The itinerary of the Baja is made up of Road Sections with a scheduled time and roads open to traffic, and of Selective Sections in real time with roads closed to traffic. The route in accordance with Road book, which they will receive during the Administrative Checks. Total distance: Super Special Stage: Selective Sections: 3.2 Control Zone Two speed control zone will be established in S.S. 2 S.S. 3 S.S. 4 S.S. 5 for the crossing of road SP6. The start of the speed control zone will be indicated in the road book by a box DZ and by two red physical signs marked DZ ; the beginning of the control area will be indicated 50 meters before by two yellow warning physical signs marked DZ. The end of this speed control zone will be indicated in the road book by a box FZ and by two red physical signs marked FZ ; 50 meters after, there will be two beige physical signs that indicate the end of the zone. The exact mileage of the beginning and end of this area is: TBA Within the speed control zone the speed limit is 30 kph. At the end of each section, the tracking system will be examined and any excess speed penalized as follows: Between 1 and 15 kph: 1 minute + 50,00 Between 16 and 40 kph: 5 minutes + 300,00 More than 40 kph and second offences: a penalty at the discretion of the Stewards To avoid incurring such sanctions, it is recommended to all the crews to adopt accurate speedometer The exact speed will be monitored by : SPORTTRAX. 6 4. COMPETITORS 4.1 To participate in the FIM Europe Baja Championship, a rider must hold a regular driving licence and a valid FIM Europe Championship licence. To participate in the FIM Europe Baja Championship, a Team must hold a regular FIM Europe Team Championship licence issued by the FIM Europe and a start permission of their Federation. Riders may participate in the events with a FIM Europe licence and a start permission of their Federation but will not be eligible to score European Championship points. 4.2 Entry Fees Fee for entry received from 23 rd April to 31 st May 2016 Fee for entry received from 1 st June to 11 th June 2016 FIM-EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP 650,00 700,00 FIM WORLD CUP + FIM-EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP 900, ,00 In order to take advantage of the reduced fee, the registration must be sent to the secretariat and the payment MUST necessarily be done within the time limits reported in the table above. The entry fee includes: membership fee at Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone (only for foreign riders); 25 sqm of indoor assistance area (5x5 mt); 1 SERVICE plate sport registration and entry rights; prize-giving ceremony; public liability insurance of the Organization; Sporttraxx / GMW Sporttraxx / GPS systems.* The entry fee doesn't include: fuel for refuelling in the Selective Sections for BIKES and QUAD; everything not mentioned in the paragraph The entry fee includes. 4.3 The entry forms must be sent to: TOP s.r.l. 7 5. ELEGIBLE VEHICLES 5.1 Vehicles: Motorcycles, Quads and UTV must comply with the provisions of the FIM Europe Technical Regulations, as well as the Traffic Code. The provided classes are: MOTORCYCLES: Class Overall QUADS: CLASS Q1 up to 450cc (2x4, 4x4, manual or automatic gearshift) CLASS Q2 over 450cc (2x4, 4x4, manual or automatic gearshift) UTV: UTV/SSV up to cc (2x4, 4x4, manual or automatic/cvt gearshift as list compiled by the person/promoter in charge) 6. ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKS 6.1 Location The administrative checks will take place in the Entrance of the Pavilion n 9 Pordenone Fiere in Pordenone. 6.2 Program The Administrative Checks will take place on Friday 24 th June 2016 from to The presence of each crew members is compulsory. 6.3 Documents to be presented Each competitor must present the following personal valid documents at the Administrative Checks: FIM Europe Team Championship licence; Bike driving licence corresponding to the category of the attending vehicle; Valid passport; For all competitors: authorisation to race abroad (starting permission) issued by own FMN; Homologated helmet, with indication of blood group; Receipt of registration rate. 7. TECHNICAL SCRUTINEERING 7.1 Location The Scrutineering, Sealing and Marking will take place at the Pavilion n 9 of Pordenone Fiere. 7.2 Program The Scrutineering will take place on Friday 24 th June 2016 from to Vehicles must be presented at the Scrutineering within 30 minutes following their Administrative Checks. 7.3 Documents to be presented Each competitor must present: Valid registration certificate; Bike, Quad, UTV insurance. 8 8. RUNNING OF THE EVENT 8.1 Briefing: Competitors must attend the briefing about different safety systems on 24 th June 2016 at in the Sala Zuliani of the Pordenone Fiere. The presence is compulsory and it will be recorded a list of participants. 8.2 Ceremonial Start: 24 th June Piazza della Vittoria Cordenons (PN) Riders participation in the Official Start is compulsory. 8.3 Super Special Stage: 24 th June Meduna River Cordenons Classification of SSS 1 (Super Special Stage) determine sets in Start List Leg 2 will be not counted in Final Classification but will 8.4 Baja Route: According to Itinerary Appendix 1 9. SERVICE AREA During the Baja there will be one Service Area located in Pordenone Fiere Pordenone. The Service Area will be open from 24 th June to 26 th June sqm of Indoor Service Area are included in the Entry Fee. It s forbidden the use of engine power generators. There is the possibility to purchase the indoor Service Area in lots of 50 sqm at the following prices: Service Area Indoor Area Outdoor Area 50 sqm 320,00 500, sqm 640,00 800, sqm 960, ,00 All prices are Italian taxes included All prices include: - Electrical grid 220V The prices for outdoor area are increased because of the inability to use the Fair s power and therefore the need to use more polluting and noisy power generators. 9 Plates Price Truck (Service vehicle over 3,500 kg) 366,00 Service (Service vehicle up to 3,500 kg) 244,00 Auxiliary (Car up to 3,500 kg) 122,00 All prices are Italian taxes included Truck Plate: - Vehicles greater than 3,500 kg. - These vehicles can enter in the service area ONLY on Thursday 23 rd and Friday 24 th June and must be parked here until the end of the event, on Sunday 26 th June. Service Plate: - Vehicles less than 3,500 kg (mini truck) used as service assistance for race cars. - These vehicles can enter in the service area every day of the event. Auxiliary Plate: - Vehicles less than 3,500 kg for the transfer of the team staff. - These vehicles can enter in the fair area but not in the service area every day of the event. All vehicles must stick the FIERA AREA PASS (Colour: GREEN RED) on the centre top of the windscreen. FIERA AREA PASS 2 Position of Service, Truck, Auxiliary plates 10. REFUELLING In the Service Park it is forbidden to refuel. Refuelling is permitted only in commercial fuel stations using fuel on sale to the public. Only the crew may carry out this procedure. 10 11. STARTING LIST The Starting Lists of 24 th, 25 th and 26 th June 2016 will be published and affixed in the Official Notice Board at the Baja Headquarters. For safety reasons, the starting order of Leg 2 and Leg 3 will be given putting together the stage rankings of the three events (World Cup, European and National). 12. CLASSIFICATION AND RESULTS - Overall classification MOTO; - Overall classification QUADS; - Overall classification UTV/SSV; - Classification for class Q1, Q2, UTV; - Women s classification; - Factory / Manufacturers Team classification; - Teams / Moto Club Team classification; Results will be published and affixed in the Official Notice Board at the Baja Headquarters. 13.
