Last year, in the interest of helping to match names and personalities with the faces of our racers on the Great Lakes Watercross Tour, Paul Sucharski created the Get to know your Racer column and I

Racers and fans alike may appreciate the opportunity to get to know more about us so here it is; please enjoy what PWC racer, George Rohde IV, has to say.

George Rohde, 26 single, pipe fitter, Justice IL, no kids no tats. 2) When and how did you get involved with riding PWC's? I got involved about 6 years ago when I bought a stand up off my friend.

Racers and fans alike may appreciate the opportunity to get to know more about us so here it is; please enjoy what PWC racer, George Rohde IV, has to say. 10 Questions with George Rohde IV, #101 1) Tell us about yourself - name, nickname, age, marital status, education, occupation, hometown, kids, tattoos, etc? George Rohde, 26 single, pipe fitter, Justice IL, no kids no tats. 2) When and how did you get involved with riding PWC's? I got involved about 6 years ago when I bought a stand up off my friend. 3) Tell us how you got interested and started PWC racing? First I liked freestyle, and then I found out how expensive it is to do a bk flip, and that's what I really wanted to do. Once I started riding buoys I was hooked. 4) What's been your most embarrassing pwc racing/riding moment? My first race I was in third place and I try to pass on straight away when should've stayed back, I wiped out in the jet wash. 5) What model skis have you owned/raced? I owned an 86 kawi 550, 89 kawi 650 and own and race a 10 Yami SJ 6) What are your PWC racing goals/aspirations, if any? (It's OK to say you just do this for fun) I am a very competitive person and I want to win! 7) What are your other hobbies/interests? I like going off road in my jeep, fishing, hunting, biking I like to do a lot of extreme sports 8) Who is your Hero and why? My Mom definitely because how she held our family together; My dad became disabled and she worked 3 jobs to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. Besides that she's just a great person. 9) Anyone you d like to thank? I'd like to thank my parents, Jim and all the people at the race for helping me. 10) If you could only keep 1 of your skis, which would it be? I haven't ridden enough different boats to give an educated answer so as for right now I like the superjet. It seems to be a good all around machine and its lots of fun! George Rohde IV #101 3

10 10 Questions with Kernius Miezlaiskis, #43 1) Tell us about yourself - name, nickname, age, marital status, education, occupation, hometown, kids, tattoos, etc? My name is Kernius Miezlaiskis. I was born in Lithuania, second biggest city Kaunas. 8 years ago I won a green card and moved to United States. I am single, no kids and currently I live in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. I am a mechanic and that's what I do for living. 2) When and how did you get involved with riding PWC's? I always loved speed and adrenaline since young days. At the age of 12 I became interested in water sports and joined Water Motor sport boats club back in my hometown country Lithuania. After 3 years in club I had to quit and only ten years later I came back to the club first as a team member and mechanic. It took me few years in United States until I was able to get my own water jetski. After another few years I started to look for available competitions, so here I am. 3) Tell us how you got interested and started PWC racing: Few years ago I found a water sports magazine at my friends house. I found a website and started searching for available options and closer locations. 4) What's been your most embarrassing pwc racing/riding moment : Luckily, I have not experienced one yet. 5) What model skis have you owned/raced? '98 SEEDOO GSX 950 limited. '06 YAMAHA R1300 GP. 6) What are your PWC racing goals/aspirations, if any? It is all about fun and fun time after work. 7) What are your other hobbies/interests? I do dance in Lithuanian Fold Dance group "Suktinis", but my main hobbies are all related to water sports and mechanical inventions. 8) Who is your Hero and why? I believe in myself and hard work. 9) Anyone you d like to thank? The biggest thank you goes to my friends and my team (Algirdas and Ignas Matelionis, Naglis Norkus) that support me and accompany me to all Watercross competitions. 10) If you could only own and ride one ski for the rest of your life what would it be and why? Right now I am looking into 2011 YAMAHA FZS... but not for the rest of my life for sure! I do like the power of it and specs that it offers. That's about it.
