3 When I set this event up 10 years ago in memory of Crane who had been such a vital part of Sleaford Wheelers CC for 40 years, it was to make it an event that would be really attractive and I had in mind that a field of 120 riders would be my target. It was my first promotion in Lincolnshire DC after years of promoting for Wigmore CC in SEDC. I brought to the event a style that had proved successful in Kent. With the generous help of some sponsorship, we were on our way. Very quickly it became the richest and best supported TT in the county and began attracting top riders from afar. For this my 80 th and final promotion, after giving much enjoyment to so many over the past 41 years we hit the jackpot. 136 entries, an Event and Lincolnshire record apart from Nationals. I am so pleased to be able to bow out with the target achieved. I will miss the buzz that promoting has given me for over half my life. Another record is, that 33 riders produced times inside the hour. On a single carriageway course with an iffy surface. Tremendous. However, whether you were fast or slow, I thank you all for supporting this Lincolnshire classic event. I also thank the sponsors that have helped make this event the success it is. Congratulations to Matt Sinclair on his second win in this event. I hope he will be back for more. Now to congratulate all of the numerous prize winners and to all riders I hope that you have enjoyed the experience. Jean Crane was unable to attend to present the prizes as she has been unwell. I send my best wishes to her. Nev s daughter Linda took on that task among many others. My thanks go to all who assisted in the smooth running of this event.
