1 FIELDS OF JOY CX On Cranwell Park Technical Guide NCXS Rd 3 & 4-20 th & 21 st June 2015 Cranwell Park, Braybrook, VIC
2 NCXS Rd 3&4: FOJCX On Cranwell Park Welcome to Cranwell Park On behalf of Fields of Joy CX, Sunbury Cycling Club, Cycling Victoria, MTBA and our sponsors we are delighted to welcome you to Round 3 & 4 of the 2015 National Cyclo- Cross Series at Cranwell Park, Braybrook, VIC on 20 th & 21 st June A huge thank you to the mayor, Cr Nam Quach, of Maribynong City Council for his and the city s on- going support of cyclo- cross. We d like to thank all of our sponsors without whom we wouldn t be able to hold such an event. FOJCX is sponsored by Giant South Yarra, Essendon Fields, Essendon Cyclery, Thunder Road Brewery, La Manna Direct Supermarket, Treadlie and Plascorp. Sunbury Cycling Club is sponsored by Workbench Project Management Software, Aligned Sports & Remedial Therapies and the Angry Butcher Bike shop. In brief, Saturday s course utilises the top half of the park fast and flowing; Sunday s course covers the eastern half of the park definitely more climbing but still flowing with some tricky rocky obstacles. For all the inter- state riders who haven t been to our FOJCX track at Larkin Court, Essendon Fields please go and check it out. The course features are open all of the time. And we can t wait to welcome you back the Victoria Championship in July and then in August for the 2015 Australian National CX Championships. It s going to be massive! A big thank you to all the volunteers. We simply couldn t put this event on without you. And lastly, why FOJCX exists: Michael Blyth, a young Sunbury mountain biker, was paralysed in a MTB crash. Due to the location of the crash we wasn t covered by any insurance. He wasn t a member of MTBA or CA. We are fundraising for Michael. Any donation will be greatly received. Full details of Michael s story can be found at: Colin Bell President, Sunbury Cycling Club 2 TECHNICAL GUIDE NCXS RD3&4 CRANWELL PARK, BRAYBROOK, VIC
