3 RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. This show is affiliated with Equestrian Australia (Tas. Branch) and the Show Horse Council of Tasmania. All events are conducted under either EA or SHC Rules, with Unofficial with special conditions of the Longford Show Society Inc. excepted. The organizing committee reserves the right to combine, add or delete classes as required. 2. All horses competing in official saddle classes must be registered with either the EA or SHC unless specified and must have current applicable height certificates for ALL sections 3. Exhibits can only be shown in Hunter OR Open section. NOT both. 4. Current standard safety helmets MUST be worn by ALL riders. 5. Doping and cruelty clauses will apply. 6. Please make sure entry form is signed accepting the rules and regulations of the Society and parent/guardians MUST sign for competitors under 18 years of age. 9. 7 Longford Show Society Inc Established 1856 INTERSCHOOLS SHOW HORSE EVENT (EA Official Classes count towards state selection for EA National InterSchool Championships) This event to be held in conjunction with the Longford Horse Festival Sunday 11 th January 2015 (Interschool riders are also invited to compete in the program available for the show) (Please use the separate Entry Forms) Rules and Regulations - Entry Fee per combination $20 - Commencing approx 1pm Official classes riders must be member of Equestrian Tasmania. Check the Sports rules for clarification. Rules are as per Show Horse rules for each phase. Riders are to wear correct riding attire as per the EA rules Riders are encouraged to use School Saddlecloths and may wear School badges on their Riding Jackets Riders not a requirement to ride in Phase 4 (open to those who wish to qualifier for the Working Hunter section) CLASSES FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL RIDERS 1) Non EA members (Unofficial this class does not count towards state selection) Phase 1 - in Hand Phase 2 - Rider Class Phase 3 Ridden workout 2) ETas Show Horse and Show Hunter (Official this class counts towards state selection) Phase 1 in Hand Phase 2 Rider Class Phase 3 Ridden workout CLASSES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL RIDERS 3) Non EA members (Unofficial this class does not count towards state selection) Phase 1 in Hand Phase 2 Rider Class Phase 3 Ridden workout 4) ETas Show Horse and Show Hunter (Official this class counts towards state selection) Phase 1 in Hand Phase 2 Rider Class Phase 3 Ridden workout NB Classes 2 and 4 MUST be ET members to compete Qualifying classes to count towards ETas State IS Team selection. Place ribbons to 3 rd will be awarded for each phase. Riders receive points for each phase with the highest place rider over all winner in each section Equestrian Australia Interschools Championships are at SIEC in Sydney in 2015 starting September. 28 th to October 2 nd.
