1 2017 Endurance Challenge Note: There are changes to the rules for Changes appear in Red. Motolite, Superlite, Commuterlite & P4 & 5 125cc One Hour Challenge 1) The Motolite, Superlite, Commuterlite & P4 & 5 125cc One Hour Endurance Challenge will be a team event. The team must consist of two riders, one mechanic + one assistant (Mechanic & assistant are optional). 2) The Event is open to Superlites, Motolites & Commuterlites complying with the 2015 Bucket Racing Association of NSW Rules & 0 125cc P.C. + F.E.. Riders may be any Grade. 3) Machines may be examined for fuel, capacity, 4 stroke valve sizes, 2 stroke ports &/or carburetor sizes. Machines examined may be the top 3 per class, at random &/or at the discression of the M.NSW Steward or Chief Scrutineer. 4) Each team must use only one machine for qualifying & the event. 5) Refuelling will be permitted in the designated Refuelling Compound. Machines must be turned off, wheeled into the compound, refuelled & wheeled out of the compound. Machines can then be restarted & re-enter the circuit. 6) 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd place trophies will be awarded to Motolite Class, Superlite Class, Commuterlite Class & 125cc PC/FE, subject to number of entries. P4 250, 350 & 500cc, P5 250, 350 & 500cc, P6 125cc, P6 250 Prod, P6 250cc, P6 500cc, P.M. F3 & P.M. F250GP One Hour Challenge 1) The P4 250, 350 & 500cc, P5 250, 350 & 500cc, P6 125cc, P6 250cc, P6 250 Prod, P6 500cc, P.M. F3 & P.M. F250GP One Hour Endurance Challenge will be a team event. The team must consist of two riders, one mechanic + one assistant (Mechanic & assistant are optional). 2) Team may consist of a) Two Riders One Machine b) Two Riders Two Machines Option (a) The machine entered for the event must be used for qualifying & the event. Option (b) Either machine entered for the event may be used for qualifying. Both machines must complete a minimum or 20 and maximum of 40 minutes in the event. c) If your team of two riders is running one bike for the 1 hour, each rider must have his/her own transponder attached by an arm band, you must nominate your starting rider as always, the blue, and red helmet dots still apply. All as per previous 1 Hour events. d) If your team is electing to use 2 bikes for the 1 Hour relay, both bikes must be from the SAME ERA (ie P6 with P6, Pre modern with Pre modern). Mixing of CAPACITIES is allowed, the LARGEST CAPACITY bike will determine the class the team competes for (ie, a team of a P5 250cc bike teams up with a P5 125cc bike, then they are BOTH in the P5 250cc class). Each rider must have his/her own transponder attached to their machine. An arm band will be worn by rider one and swapped over in the pits at the time of the rider change. e) The same "rider change window" rule applies, opening at 20 minutes, and closing at 40 minutes, the same penalty will apply for rider 1 going beyond the 40 minute mark. The team must nominate rider 1 before the race, and the red and blue helmet dots will also be used. BOTH MACHINES will have to display the same number on the number boards. They must be GCR compliant. 3) The Event is open to The P4 250, 350 & 500cc, P5 250, 350 & 500cc, P6 125cc, P6 250cc, P6 250 Prod, P6 500cc, P.M. F3 & P.M. F1 & P.M F2 One Hour Challenge 1) The P4 & 5 750cc & 1300cc, P6 750cc (Which Includes 600cc) & 1300cc, Formula 1 & Pre Modern Formula 2 One Hour Endurance Challenge will be a team event. How the One Hour Events will Run The Event will be a Le Mans Start. Rider 1 will line up on the right side (inside) of the circuit with Rider 2 holding the machine on the left of the circuit (outside), with engines running. The flag will be raised & Rider 1 will run across the circuit, mount the bike & commence racing. HE WILL DO THIS IN A SAFE MANNER, any dangerous antics & you will be black flagged. Rider 2 will then leave the circuit. Rider one will do his session, anywhere between 20 & 40 minutes. (A countdown clock will be displayed telling teams how long the event has left to run & information boards informing teams the rider change window is open & closed). When you decide to have your rider change, Rider one will enter pit lane, stop & dismount, Rider two mount the bike & re enter the circuit. A speed limit of 40kph in pit lane will be mandatory. If you are in a Two Bike Team, Rider 1 will enter Pit Lane, proceed to Rider 2. An Arm Band will be removed from Rider 1 s left arm & applied to Rider 2 s left arm. Rider 2 will then race for the remainder of the one hour. At the completion of one hour, as the leader crosses the start/finish line, the last lap board will be displayed, the chequered flag will then be given at the end of that lap. (The Event is one hour plus one lap). Note: Rider changes must be completed before the 40 th minute.

3 Common Rules To All One Hour Events 1) Machines will be examined for the usual Scrutineering checks as well as eligibility. Machines will be issued with the normal scrutineering sticker. Any machine found illegal will not be permitted to practice, qualify or compete & will not be issued with a scrutineering sticker until such time it is corrected. Machines without this sticker will not be permitted on the circuit. 2) Grid positions will be determined by qualifying. Fastest time to count for grid positions. Teams to manage their practice & qualifying as they see fit. Two Bike teams, either machine or rider can be used. 3) Transponders will be used at this meeting. 4) If the event is oversubscribed, grid positions will be determined by qualifying times and the fastest 40 will start the event. The remainder will be on the reserve list. If any teams should withdraw from the event up to 30 minutes prior to the start, teams from the reserve list will get a start. 5) The event will run for one hour plus one lap. At the end of one hour, the last lap board will be displayed to the leader. One lap later the Chequered Flag will be displayed & the event will be declared finished. 7) There will be a Le Mans start with engines running, the start will be signalled by RAISING of the National Flag of Australia. 8) In the event of a Red Flag situation, Rider Changes or Refuelling is not Permitted. The rider who is on the circuit will restart the race. When the red flag is shown, the event will be scored as of the previous lap. If the event is 75% completed it will be declared finished. 9) Teams must nominate their First & Second rider for the event. 10) Each team will be supplied a 50mm Red dot (For Rider 1) & a 50mm Blue dot (for rider 2) which must be displayed on the left side of the helmet. Co-Rider, Team Mechanic & Assistant are the only people permitted in pit lane during the event. 11) Competitors may enter in one team only. 12) Competitors are not permitted to cross enter in the same class ie: enter as Team Pete: #69 Peter MacMillian & Valentino Rossi Honda H100 Superlite Team Vale: #96 Valentino Rossi & Peter MacMillian Honda CB150 Superlite 13) Competitors are permitted to enter race in one class only. 14) Change of rider (substitution) or rearrangement of team (first & second rider) and change of machine (Provided the machine appears in the program) may be permitted up to one hour before the commencement of the event. 15) Riders must complete a minimum of 20 minutes & a maximum of 40 minutes. Only one rider change is permitted between the 20 th minute & 40 th minute. Anyone who goes over 40 minutes will automatically be disqualified from the event & black flagged. 16) During the rider changes, Pit Lane speed limit will be a maximum of 40kph (Which is SLOW). Make sure you observe this or you will receive a 20 second Stop/Go penalty or Instant Disqualifying (depending on the severity of the offence). 17) Rider one must start the race & rider two must finish the race. Note: Rider one must not under any circumstance pull in for the rider change, change rider identifying stickers and re-join the race. Competitors attempting this dastardly act or similar will be dealt with by the M.A. Steward, Clerk of the Course, The Event Director &/or (worse) PCRA officials with severe consequences. 18) The only people permitted in pit lane are competitors of the event, their team mechanic, team assistant & the appropriate officials. 19) There will be a notice board displayed during the event to inform competitors of the elapsed time and the period for rider changes. 20) Mechanical repairs are permitted in pit lane. Any machine leaving the circuit/pit lane and entering the general pit area will be deemed to have retired from the event and the machine not permitted to rejoin the event. 21) There will be a leader board, which will be kept up to date as close as possible. 22) Machines will be impounded for a period of 20 minutes after the event, pending any protests. 23) Note: Umbrella Girls are encouraged by The BRA. Sidecar Endurance Challenge Rules 1) Normal GCR s to apply. 2) Open to all classes of sidecars & cyclecars eligible for this meeting. 3) No refuelling. 4) No pit stops pulling into the pits is effectively retirement from the event. 5) Hydration packs allowed, contents to conform with the GCR s (ie: no drugs or alcohol) subject to the pack not interfering with the rider s or passenger s operation of the machine.

4 Extreme Weather Procedures In the event of extreme weather conditions, ie: 40 o C + temperatures one hour races may be split into 2 races. Both legs will be a Le Mans Start Rider 1 will line up on the right side (inside) of the circuit with Rider 2 holding the machine on the left of the circuit (outside), with engines running. The flag will be raised & Rider 1 will run across the circuit, mount the bike & commence racing. HE WILL do this in a safe manner, any dangerous antics & you will be black flagged. Rider 2 will then leave the circuit. Rider one will do his session, anywhere between 12 & 18 minutes. (A board will be displayed informing teams how long the event has left to run & a board informing teams the rider change window is open & closed). When you decide to have your rider change Rider one will enter pit lane, stop & dismount, Rider two mount the bike & re enter the circuit. A speed limit of 40kph in pit lane will be mandatory. Rider 2 will then race for the remainder of the 30 minutes. At the completion of 30 minutes, as the leader crosses the start/finish line, the last lap board will be displayed; the chequered flag will then be given at the end of that lap. (Each leg will be 30 minutes plus one lap). After leg 1, machines will enter pit lane & be impounded until the start of leg 2. NO WORK ON MACHINES OR REFUELLING IS PERMITTED DURING STOPAGES. Times for both Legs will be added together. SAFETY CAR PROCEDURE 1. Safety Car board displayed at the start finish line 2. All flag points go to stationery yellow flag OR LIGHTS (waved yellow flag at point of incident) 3. Medical, Pickup & Safety Car to enter the circuit following each other in the first safe gap in the racing not necessarily in front of the leader of the race. 4. Safety Car will have its lights Flashing when it enters the circuit 5. The riders will line up behind the Safety Car in single file with a gap of 3 bike lengths between each of the bikes and must not pass the Safety Car or any other rider. 6. Note: the pits will remain open at all times except when the Safety Car approaches the start/finish line then the pit exit will be closed until the field has passed the pit exit. 7. The Safety Car will continue around the circuit while the Medical & Pickup work on the circuit at the incident 8. Once the Medical & Pickup have left the track the Safety Car will continue around the track until the Medical is able to respond (if required) to any other incident. 9. When the Medical are able to respond the Safety Car will turn its Flashing lights off before the last turn and pull into the pits 10. Racing will resume when you pass the first Waved green flag at the start of the main straight. NO PASSING BEFORE THIS POINT 11. Any violation of the Safety Car procedure will result in a ride through penalty. PROCEDURE FOR RIDE THROUGH PENALTY If at any time during the event a Ride Through Penalty is imposed on a rider the following will apply and the rider must do a ride through penalty 1. A board with PENALTY and the riders number will be displayed at the start line 2. The rider has 3 laps to respond to the sign and do the ride through penalty 3. If the rider does not respond any laps after this will not be counted and the team may be excluded from the race at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. 4. The ride through penalty cannot be served when the Safety Car is out on the track. 5. The rider must go through the pits at a safe speed (no stopping at their pits) and then enter the track through pit exit 6. The rider does not have to stop at the check point

5 RACE FINISH The last lap board will be displayed to the leader of the race after the 1 hour has elapsed. One lap later the leader will be given the chequered flag and the race will be declared. All riders must enter the pits after receiving the chequered flag. All machines will be impounded for 20 minutes after the race pending any protests, eligibility & capacity checks etc. Failure to report to impound competitors will be subject to exclusion from the event. The PCRA & BRA Encourage as many Teams to enter as possible. If you are interested in riding the organisers encourage you to team up with someone who normally does not ride in your class. Eg: In the Commuterlite/Superlite/Motolite one hour Riders team up with Period 4, 5 & 6 Riders, etc. This is to get ALL machines on the grid & make big fields for all Races.
