2 The meeting shall be known as the 2016 AMSAG Rallysprint and include the 2016 Emtron Eliminator and the 2016 Emtron Sprint. The Event shall be a Special Stage closed rallysprint event to members of AMSAG Inc. 3 4 OFFICIAL ADDRESS All postal correspondence must be addressed to the Event Secretary AMSAG Inc PO Box 412, Penrith 2751, fax The official address for event correspondence is 5 ALTERATION ABANDONMENT TERMINATION OF EVENT The organisers reserve the right to abandon, alter or terminate the Event at any point. AMSAG Inc reserves the right to retain 10% of the entry fee. 6 COMPETITOR ENTRIES Entries may only be made on the official Entry Form on the AMSAG website at and be complete in every detail. Entrants may use either the online entry form or complete and forward the printable Entry Form which is also available on the website. Entry Fee may be paid by either direct deposit or PayPal as per the instructions on the website. Entries open and close strictly as per the Programme and will be limited to 15 entries per class, with priority determined by the organisers. The Emtron Sprint will be run in classes with no outright classification. ENTRIES CAN ONLY BE NOMINATED IN A SINGLE CLASS. THERE IS NO CROSS ENTERING OF CLASSES. (ie a Datsun 1200 cannot be entered in U2, Classic and Open 2wd) All entries must consist of two people. No cross-entering is allowed. The organisers reserve the right to refuse the entry of an entrant and / or crew member. 7 CLASSES U2 any vehicle with an engine capacity of 2000cc or under Classic any vehicle complying to AMSAG Classic Regs Open 2wd any 2wd vehicle meeting safety requirements 0pen 4wd any 4wd vehicle meeting safety requirements Entries from competitors under the age of 18 must be counter-signed by a parent or guardian. Please print your completed (and lodged) entry form with you to Documentation with your parents or guardians signature in the space provided. 8 ENTRY FEE The entry fee for the meeting shall be $ (including GST). The entry fee includes: Entry fee for the Emtron Eliminator, Entry fee for the Emtron Sprint, Forest NSW Fees, Officials Levy, Medical FIV services, Public Liability Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance for both crew members, etc. Payment is requested upon entry. 9 STARTING ORDER Starting Order shall be determined by ballot within the classes. U2 class will run first on the road, followed by Classic, Open 2wd and the Open 4wd.

4 10 CHANGE OF ENTRY DETAILS Change of any entry details must be made no later than close of Rally Documentation on Saturday 2nd April CREW ELIGIBILITY Each crew member must be a member of AMSAG Inc. Competitive membership is $50.00 and the application form is available on the website Both crew members must hold a current AASA or CAMS Rally competition licence. 12 VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY & COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT Vehicles must comply with AMSAG Eligibility & Safety Regulations as published on the AMSAG website Documentation establishing civil registration and third party insurance must be produced at pre-event scrutineering. Vehicles registered in Queensland must provide documentation establishing proof of a third party extension for this event. 13 COMPETITOR APPAREL Please refer to the AMSAG Vehicle and Safety Regulations as published on the AMSAG website under the Regs and Forms tab. This document dictates the minimum standard for apparel that must be worn by both crew members. 14 RUNNING ORDER/ OBSTRUCTION It is the competitor s responsibility to maintain the start order road position. Competitors unable to maintain road position may be subject to penalties at the discretion of the organisers. Any entry which causes obstruction to another entry, does so under pain of exclusion. 15 SCRUTINEERING For scrutineering locations and times, please refer to the full list of scrutineering venues and arrangements on the AMSAG website at There will be NO scrutineering at the event. Most scrutineers require a booking to be made. Please indicate on the entry form which scrutineering venue you intend to attend. If you are unable to attend any of these venues, you must contact the Director before the close of entries. 16 DOCUMENTATION VERIFICATION Documentation Verification will take place at the various scrutineering locations. Please refer to the Regs and Forms page on the AMSAG website for full details of scrutineering venues and available times. Please ensure that you have your civil licenses, your competition AASA / CAMS licences, AMSAG membership, Log books and vehicle registration documents for verification. 17 RALLY DOCUMENTATION Rally Documentation will at Black Springs Hall and open as per the event schedule. Documentation must be complete prior to Reconnaisance.

5 18 COMPETITORS BRIEFING Competitors briefing will commence on Saturday April 2 at 12:45 at Black Springs Hall Both crew members are required to attend. 19 SERVICING The Service Area will be Black Springs Forestry Camp. Toilet facilities are available. There is no pump fuel available near the Service Park. 20 TIMING Finish arrival time at all controls shall be recorded to the current second. Departure times from main controls shall be on the exact forward minute. The Emtron Rallysprint result will be determined by calculating the fastest 2 passes on each stage, with the winner being the entry with the lowest aggregate time. 21 ROUTE INSTRUCTIONS / PACENOTES The intention of the event is that competitors conduct a reconnaissance to construct a set of Pacenotes/Safety notes from which to determine stage conditions and directions. As the event is a Rallysprint, the course is NOT route-charted. NO ROADBOOK WILL BE SUPPLIED. The course will be arrowed extensively, and time is provided for course familiarity. 22 RECCE * Reconnaisance can be conducted in any road registered vehicle (this includes rally cars). ALL road rules apply. The roads are open and oncoming traffic may be encountered. * There are no tyre restrictions/conditions. * A strict speed limit of 60kph is in place on ALL competitive stages or forestry roads during recce. * It is expressly forbidden to travel in a direction against rally traffic on any recce stage. Any competitor involved in acts during recce which are deemed to potentially bring the club, event or sport into disrepute will be refused a start in the event.

All protests must be in writing and submitted within 1 hours of the last car finishing the event and be accompanied by a protest fee of $50.00 (including GST). 25 ODOMETER CHECK Not Required. 26 EMTRON ELIMINATOR As the name suggests, the winner of the Eliminator event will be determined by survival, with a knock-out format in place. Round 1 All competitors compete on the 4km eliminator stage, with the fastest16 competitors continuing to Round 2. All other competitors are eliminated from the competition. Round 2 All Round 1 times are dismissed and the remaining 16 competitors compete on the 4km eliminator stage, with the fastest 8 competitors continuing to Round 3. Round 3 All Round 1 and 2 times are dismissed and the remaining 8 competitors compete on the 4km eliminator stage, with the fastest 4 competitors continuing to Round 4. Round 4 All Round 1, 2 and 3 times are dismissed and the remaining 4 competitors compete on the 4km eliminator stage, with the fastest 2 competitors continuing to the Final. Round 5 Final. All Round 1, 2, 3 and 4 times are dismissed, and the remaining 2 competitors compete on the 4km eliminator stage with the fastest being declared the winner. Ties: a) any ties in Round 1 or 2 will see all tied competitors proceed to the next round. b) any ties in Round 3 the Final, will see a complete re-run of the stage until a winner is determined.

7 27 EVENT ITINERARY The exact course and itinerary will be made available at event documentation at Black Springs, on Friday 5 th April. To assist competitors to plan the following general information is provided: Total competitive distance: Approx 53km plus Eliminator of 4 km. Maximum distance 65km competitive. 8 28 AWARDS Trophies will be awarded: Emtron Elimination 1 st Outright Trophies and $1000 cash Emtron Sprint 1 st in each class Trophies - Driver and Co-Driver 1st Lady Driver The Ray Giffin Award 29 REMINDERS Lighting of fires: The Lighting of Fires at any time during the Event is strictly forbidden. Alcohol and Drugs: Any entrant or competitor consuming or found to have consumed alcohol or drugs during the Event or within six hours of the start of each division will be excluded.

9 30 OH&S ADVICE FOR ENTRANTS AND SERVICE CREWS AMSAG wish to remind you that WorkCover NSW legislation deems a Rally Service Park to be a NSW Workplace. Therefore, all of the workplace and OH&S practices that we observe everyday in our regular working environment, must also be observed and practiced at all times within the Service Park. All personnel are asked to assess the risks associated with any practice that they are involved with, and take action to minimise the potential injury to themselves and any other personnel. As the Entrant, you have a Duty of Care for the health and safety of those people who might be affected by the activities of your team whilst at the rally. These people may include the members of your competing crew, service crew, spectators and the general public. You may be held liable for the damage to property or injury to personnel should suitable assessment and risk minimisation practices not be followed. Some examples of risks might be: The use of electrical power. High voltage cords and appliances should have a current safety inspection tag, and be used with a tagged safety switch. When using jacks or jack stands, use equipment that is suitable for the job, and ensure that the vehicle is at all times properly secured. Getting underneath a vehicle that is only supported by a jack is serious risk, and should never be attempted. Re-fuelling may be conducted within your own work environment, however, a suitable and approved fire extinguisher should be nearby while refuelling. It is recommended that this extinguisher be manned during the re-fuelling operation. A notice of the danger of the refuelling activity from mobile phones, heat, cigarettes and other ignition sources should be erected to warn all personnel not involved with the activity to stay well away. To minimise the risk of damage to the environment, a liquid proof ground cover must be beneath the car during all servicing and re-fuelling operations. Be prepared to mop up any liquid spills immediately to avoid contamination of the ground, and report any such contamination to the attending official or Rally Control without delay. Personal Safety Clothing should be worn by all personnel to minimise risk or injury. This may involve clothing with long sleeves, fire proof materials, gloves, ear protection and/or safety goggles/glasses. Due to the hazards that can be associated to smoking, including the ignition of flammable liquids and gases within the service park, AMSAG strongly discourage smoking by all persons within the service park during the entire event. You should consider the risk in all situations, and ensure that you manage all of your activities at the event and be prepared to demonstrate that you have considered these risks and put the appropriate safety measures in place.
