Transcription
1 on hange vs. on x x x x In this transition drill the offense will continuously run their offense until the coach blows whistle or yells "change." When "change" is yelled the ball is set down on the floor and all 0 players transition to the other end of the floor. Emphasis on Ball and Hole, communication and stopping the ball early. Drill begins with players inside the lane ready to box out for defensive rebound. opposing players will start outside the point line ready to crash for the offensive rebound. Opposing team will also have players waiting on the other end on defense. The will shoot the ball to start the drill.
2 vs. on vs. on Defense must get the defensive rebound, and then transition with proper spacing to other end of the floor. Transition team runs the floor with good spacing trying to attack and score with efficient passing, while defensive team tries to recover.
3 vs. on vs.. x x x x On the make / miss the drill is completed with one full on possession transition back in the other direction. The drill starts with offensive players on the baseline and defensive players free throw line extended. The will throw the ball to any offensive player while calling the name of one defensive player.
4 vs.. Kansas Man x x x x The offensive players will run their transition break to push the ball up the floor with good spacing. The defensive player who's name was called must touch the baseline and recover, while the other defensive players must transition to defense. Emphasis on picking up and stopping the ball and covering the hole. Once the posession ends the offense and defense is flipped to come back the other way. Kansas man - Player throws the ball off the back board and outlets to. Runs the outside lane and receives a pass from the. Player then passes ahead to who makes the lay up. Player sprints to the other end and grabs the ball out of the net.
5 Kansas Man Kansas Man x x Kansas man - and swing sides. Player digs the ball out of the net and runs the baseline. gets to the outlet area and runs the outside lane. Player passes ahead to, who then passes to for the lay up. sprints and digs the ball out of the net. vs / - calls out a number as he passes the ball to one of the offensive players. The player whose number is called must sprint and touch the baseline and then recover back on defense. Offense attacks on while keeping good spacing.
6 Kansas Man Kansas Man x x x vs / - Same as on /, except that now on defense, one of the players must sprint directly to the rim when getting back on defense. Michigan Full court Lay up Drill - Balls start in the corners. Players with the ball pass to the first outlet man then sprint and receive the ball back from them. This is done total times then the player gets a lay up and goes back into line on the opposite end. No dribbles.

8 Long Ball Def. Transition Ohio vs. Rebound and Transition x x x x x x x es passes to offensive player. then steps off the floor. Defender on the coach (x) now relocates and finds the open offensive player. Drill begins with players lined up in the lane, and offensive players on the perimeter. The coach will throw the ball to of the offensive players and yell a number. The offense will shoot upon the catch from coach. Play out the offensive possession and award points.
9 Ohio vs. Rebound and Transition Ohio vs. Rebound and Transition x x x x x x x x The defensive number called by the coach must closeout on the ball and box out the shooter. The other defensive players must scramble to find a body to box out to secure the defensive rebound. Perimeter players are told to crash the boards hard. Once the defensive rebound is secured, the rebounding team runs their transition break to try to attack and score, while the opposition transitions into defense.
