Auburn is all-time against the Gators. Last season, Auburn posted their top score of the 2012 season against UF with a total of in Auburn Arena. That total was the second-best in school history and the top mark for the Tigers since The meet will be televised by ESPN2 (2/3 6:00 p.m.) and ESPNU (1/31 6:30 p.m.). The matchup is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. central time. Auburn in the Rankings Auburn rose to No. 18 in this week s rankings thanks to a season-best score of at Georgia. The Tigers rank 21st in vault average, 12th in bars average score, 19th in beam scoring average and 42nd in fl oor. Senior is tied for eighth nationally with an uneven bars average score of Underclassmen Carrying the Weight Seventeen of Auburn s 24 routines (70 percent) against Kentucky and Georgia were performed by freshmen and sophomores. Those totals include two all-arounders in sophomore and freshman, as well as freshman Kait Kluz who competed in three events in both meets. That number could be even greater against Florida. All-Around Duo Impressive Through the fi rst three meets this season, Auburn has relied heavy on the underclassman all-around duo of freshman and sophomore. Atkinson, who competed as a senior international elite prior to enrolling at Auburn, posted a collegiate high score of at Georgia to win her fi rst career all-around title. Sophomore Guy recorded her seventh career routine with a score of 9.9 or higher as she scored against the Gym Dogs. The pair is expected to be joined by senior in the all-around on Friday. 2 Up Next Auburn s road streak concludes with a trip to face Missouri for the fi rst time as an SEC opponent. Auburn is 16-6 all-time against Missouri. The Tigers posted their top score of the 2012 season against UF last year with a total of Auburn has not faced Mizzou since 2007 and a second-place fi nish at the Cancun Classic. Auburn freshman Caitlin Atkinson competed all-around for the second consecutive week and upped her career high score to Gymnastics Places Fourth in 2013 Opener Auburn scored and fi nished fourth in a quad-meet at the University of California with Kentucky and Arizona in the season opener for all four schools. The host Golden Bears from Cal fi nished in fi rst place with a total of , while Kentucky was second ( ) and Arizona was third with a total score. Lexus Demers (9.8, fl oor) and (9.875, bars) both set new career best marks. Freshman Class Ranked 10th Nationally Auburn s 2013 four person freshman class has been ranked as the 10th nationally by respected gymnastics site CollegeGymFans.com. The class includes freshmen, Kait Kluz, Kara Koster and Kelsey Kopec. This year s rank marks two-straight years the Tigers have been ranked 10th nationally. Last season, Auburn s class of Lexus Demers,, Caryn Kadous, Kelsey Thomasson, Megan Walker and Brittany Webster was also ranked No. 10. Tigers Ink Two in November Auburn signed two gymnasts, Mary Jane Rott and Kullen Hlawek, during the fall signing period. The duo will begin competion for the Tigers in Rott comes to Auburn from Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy in Oakdale, Minnesota. She is a three-time JO National Championships Qualifi er. 4 Strong Showing for Gymnastics on NACGC/W Academic Lists The National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) announced both the team and individual Scholastic All-America award winners for the season and Auburn had a strong showing on both the team and individual lists. As a team, Auburn posted a collective grade point average (GPA) of to rank 19th overall. That GPA is up from 3.11 for the scholastic year, an average that ranked 58th. Since Graba took over in 2010, the Tigers have risen more than 40 spots from 65th for the year to 19th this year under his guidance. Additionally, individuals Abbey Habicht, Caryn Kadous, Kelsey Thomasson, Megan Walker and were recognized as Scholastic All-Americans. Former gymnasts Kareen Kaveh, Laura Lane, Kylie Shields and Kendall Swartz were also on the list.
