Wheeler shot 64.5 percent (20-of-31) from the field, including a blazing 70.0 percent (7-of-10) from 3-point range on the weekend. Against USC Jan. 16, Wheeler shot 10 for 16 from the floor on her way to a game-high 23 points as the Cats edged the Women of Troy, She pulled down six rebounds in the game and scored 16 second-half points. During USC s 15-4 run in the final four minutes, Wheeler scored Arizona s only four points, back-to-back, and provided UA with the cushion to win the contest. Wheeler knocked down 10 of her 15 shot attempts Jan. 18 against UCLA, including a 6-of-8 mark from 3-point range, to score a game-high 27 points in Arizona s win over UCLA. UCLA never came closer than eight points the rest of the way. The Player of the Week honor is the first for Wheeler, the 2002 Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, and the 27th all-time selection for Arizona.
