The Seminoles (14-2, 2-1) hold a 15-1 overall record against the Eagles (13-4, 2-2) and have won nine straight meetings. Sometimes a loss can galvanize a team, and Florida State hopes it can respond the way it did when it fell to LSU on Nov. 18. Following the defeat, the Seminoles went on to win the 2018 Paradise Jam in The Bahamas, which included beating No. 12/14 Iowa 71-67, and rattled off 10 consecutive victories. Thursday night s matchup will mark a homecoming for FSU redshirt freshman guard Sayawni Lassiter. The Dorchester, Mass., native made her mark at Newton North High School and became just the second native of Massachusetts to suit up for the Seminoles. Lassiter, who had to overcome her second season-ending knee injury in , is averaging 2.4 points in 11.1 minutes played per game this season. FSU junior guard Nicki Ekhomu led all scorers in last year s meeting between Florida State and Boston College - a win by the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Feb. 22, Ekhomu scored 17 points, added six rebounds and three assists and went 7-of-8 from the free throw line in 31 minutes. Florida State is 7-0 all-time when playing Boston College on the road. Head Coach Sue Semrau s 15-1 record against Boston College is her highest winning percentage (.938) vs. any ACC school based on a minimum of 10 games.
