4 MUSTANG CLASSIC VARSITY TOURNAMENT Nov 29 Dec 1 Coaches, We are extremely excited about hosting the 15 th Annual Mustang Classic at Houston Christian High School. We have another great field this year, one of our best tournament fields to date. Games will be played in the 2 Houston Christian Gyms (MT = Metro Gym, McN = McNair Gym). The field is 20 teams this year. We will have a bracket format again this year. Everyone is guaranteed 4 games unless you lose your 1 st 3 games. Some teams will have 5 games. The following lays out some important information for you. For the out of town teams, notify me immediately when you can play your 1 st game on Thursday. The earlier you play, the more likely you can play 5 games for the tournament. We will solidify the bracket in the next 1 or 2 weeks as I hear back from coaches. Entry Fee: Entry fee is $ Many of you have already mailed in your payment. Thank you for doing so. Please make checks payable to Houston Christian. Mail entry fee to the following address: Houston Christian C/O Ron Crandall 2700 W. Sam Houston Pkwy N. Houston, TX Officials: Officials will come from the Houston Chapter of TASO. All Championship bracket games will have 3 officials. Not all Consolation Brackets games will have 3 officials. Some will have 2. Game Preparation: We will have designated areas for your team to dress before and after the game, and you will utilize those areas for halftime if you so choose. Do not leave your belongings in the locker room. Each team will have a minimum of an 8-minute warm-up and a maximum of 12 minutes. We want to keep the tournament running on time. Please provide your own water bottles and towels. We will provide warm up balls and game ball in each gym. Home team will need to provide the official scorekeeper for each game, and we will provide a person on the clock. Clean up your area after each game so that the next team can get settled quickly.

5 Ticket info: Tournament passes for the entire tournament will be sold at the door for $25.00 for adults and $10 for student tournament passes (ages 8 th grade and younger). These passes are good for the entire weekend. Fans can purchase an adult day pass for $10 and $5 for student, rather than the tournament pass. Hospitality: We will provide a hospitality room for coaches, game workers, and officials up in the alumni room. Our alumni room is on the second floor and overlooks the Metro Gym. We will also have a fully stocked concession stand throughout the tournament. Awards: Team Trophies will be rewarded to the following: Championship Bracket Champions Championship Bracket 2 nd Place Championship Bracket 3 rd Place Consolation Bracket Champions 1. All Tournament medals for 20 individuals Championship bracket quarterfinal participants and consolation semi finals/finals teams. 2.
