7 Vicki Whiting 1980 Graduate of Newton High School All Conference in Volleyball, Basketball, & Fastpitch District & State honors were not given to girls during the time Vicki participated in athletics at Newton, if they were she most certainly would have received those as well Held the All-Time Girls Basketball scoring record for 38 years and currently stands 3 rd on that list Still holds the following Girls Basketball records at Newton: o Career PPG (19.2) o Season PPG (19.8) o Most FT Attempted in a game (17) o Most Rebounds in a game (30)
