2 REACHING 3 WINS With two playoff appearances in his first three years, Jim Caldwell has established himself as one of the most successful head coaches in recent franchise history. In his 5nd game as the Lions Head Coach (Week 4 at Min; //7), Caldwell led the team to a 4-7 win at Minnesota and recorded his 3th overall win since joining the Lions in 4. By reaching 3 career wins with the club in 5 games, he became the fastest Lions head coach to reach 3 career wins since Head Coach Buddy Parker, who recorded 3 wins in 4 games (95-54). His overall record with the Lions stands at 3-5 (.554). Beginning his football coaching career in 977 as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, the University of Iowa, 7 marks Caldwell's 4th consecutive season coaching football. CLUB With a 4-7 win over Minnesota in Week 4 of the 7 season, Caldwell logged his 56th overall win in his th career regular season game. His career record as a head coach (3-5 in DET; 6- in IND) now stands at (.548) in 4 career games. LIONS FINISH 9-7 IN 6, EARN PLAYOFF BERTH The Lions finished the 6 season with a record of 9-7 and earned the team s second playoff berth in the past three seasons. The last time the Lions made the playoffs twice in a three-year span was 997 and 999. ¾By earning a playoff berth in 6, Caldwell joins Buddy Parker (95, 953) and Bobby Ross (997, 999) as the only coaches in Lions history to lead the team to the playoffs twice in their first three seasons with the club. EIGHT COMEBACK WINS IN 6 The Lions finished the 6 season with a record of 9-7. In eight of the team's nine wins, the Lions trailed in the fourth quarter and went on to win the game. Detroit set a new NFL record, surpassing the previous total of seven set by the 9 Indianapolis Colts (also coached by Jim Caldwell), for the most wins in a season after trailing in the fourth quarter. CALDWELL S FOURTH SEASON IN DETROIT JIM CALDWELL Head Coach Years with Lions: 4 Years as NFL Head Coach: 7 Years in NFL: 7 COACHING OVERVIEW ¾Hired as head coach for the Detroit Lions January 4, 4. ¾In 6 previous NFL seasons, Caldwell has worked on coaching staffs that have led teams to 3 winning seasons and only twice finished below.5. Overall, Caldwell s teams he coached for have compiled a regular season record, along with 4 playoff appearances, eight division titles, three conference championships and two Super Bowl wins. ¾As an NFL head coach (six seasons), Caldwell has led a team to + wins twice (4 with Indianapolis in 9, with Detroit in 4). Coached in three Super Bowls with Indianapolis (XLI and XLIV) and Baltimore (XLVII) and won two Super Bowl titles (Ind and Bal). ¾In his first year as head coach for IND (9), he won the AFC Championship and led the franchise to Super Bowl XLIV. He became the first NFL coach to win his first 4 games and the fifth rookie head coach to reach the Super Bowl. ¾One of four head coaches to produce 4+ regular-season wins and a Super Bowl berth in their first two career seasons as head coach. ¾From 3-9, Caldwell was the Colts quarterbacks coach and was also promoted to assistant head coach and associate head coach during that time. He worked closely with QB Peyton Manning and the team s quarterbacks. During that span, Indianapolis set NFL records with seven consecutive seasons finishing with + wins (6, Dallas 976-8) and + victories (4, Dallas, 99-95). ¾After being appointed Ravens offensive coordinator in December, Baltimore went on to win five of its next seven games, including Super Bowl XLVII. During that span, the offense averaged 4.6 yards per game, including an average of 4.3 yards per game during the four playoff wins. 3 BOB QUINN Executive Vice President and General Manager Years with Lions: Years in NFL: 8 QUINN MAKES HIS MARK FIRST SEASON AT THE HELM Quinn s first season in the role of a franchise s top football executive culminated in a playoff appearance, and he became the only first-year executive among nine in the NFL to accomplish this feat since the 3 season. In doing so, Quinn also became the Lions first general manager to guide the team to the playoffs in his inaugural season since Nick Kerbawy in 95. ¾Along with the nearly 4-percent changeover and upgrade to the team s roster that he inherited, Quinn s changes paid dividends in 6 when the Lions finished 9-7 on the team s way to the playoffs. ¾Entering his second season, Quinn s ongoing commitment to improve all aspects of the club s football operations has included restructuring the player personnel department and scouting evaluation processes; renovating the team s weight room and practice fields along with other facility improvements; upgrading the team s football information and video technology; and instituting a comprehensive nutritional program, which included the hiring of a performance dietician for the players. DRAFTING EXPERTISE Quinn's initial draft class in 6 featured the selection of six linemen on offense and defense, the most linemen in a Lions draft since 989 and the most ever in a seven-round draft. Highlighting last year s draft class was the Lions first-round selection T Taylor Decker, who earned all-rookie honors in 6. Additionally, DT A Shawn Robinson and C/G Graham Glasgow would earn starting roles during their rookie seasons. ¾Of the playoff teams in 6, no team had members of its draft class play more games (8) than the Detroit Lions. PATRIOTS PAST During his time with New England, Quinn served a number of roles in the player personnel department, including most recently as Director of Pro Scouting from -5. While he worked as Director of Pro Scouting, the Patriots won the 4 Super Bowl and four-straight AFC East Division championships. ¾From 9-, Quinn was the Assistant Director of Pro Personnel. For the previous nine years, Quinn worked in several different capacities within the Patriots player personnel department, including roles in college scouting as a National Scout and Regional Scout. He played an integral role in evaluating and procuring talent for the team through the NFL draft process, free agency, trades, etc. ¾While working for the New England Patriots, he helped contribute to one of the most impressive stretches in NFL history, one that produced four Super Bowl titles, including the most recent championship in 4 (Super Bowl XLIX). Since, Quinn s first year with New England, the Patriots have won six AFC Championships, 3 AFC East titles, + games in a season times (which includes the past six years) and + games in 4 of his 6 seasons. 5 The following are post-game quotes from the Detroit Lions' 3-7 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 9. HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL On how he thought QB Matthew Stafford played at Green Bay: Yeah, certainly played well. Obviously, the guys caught the ball well for him all across the board. Marvin (Jones Jr.) went over yards, Golden (Tate) went over, (Eric) Ebron had some nice catches. Obviously, Theo (Riddick) does what Theo does when he catches it, makes some things happen. So, there were a lot of good plays and the offensive line blocked for him. And when he does have time he can deliver it, and from all angles and make a number of different big throws, so he was on tonight and played well. On if he saw a difference in his offense during practice last week: Nothing magical, but I think I mentioned it to you, they ve been practicing well here the last couple weeks. I mean, you can see it in just in how we re practicing. We re not making a whole lot of mistakes and we re getting better. Some of our young guys are getting a little bit better and I think you can see that was reflected tonight in play. Offense, defense, and in our kicking game. On if this game was as sharp as he has seen Stafford: He s had so many really good ones. I mean, it s hard to distinguish, he had a string of them there a couple years that were pretty strong, and last year too. But this one obviously, you don t get a whole lot better than this. So, he played well. On the job the defense did against the Packers to allow the offense to gain a big lead: Yeah, defense did a nice job just in terms of they were able to hold the run down, held them below yards, a team that can really run the ball with really good backs and a good offensive line. So, I think our guys across the board, our down linemen, our linebackers, and the perimeter that s involved did a nice job. A couple plays popped out of there, a couple big plays, but overall defensively we played well. On what WR Marvin Jones Jr. saying the team has practiced really well means to him: Well, it s what we expect of him. And we ve had, you know, early in the season I thought we had some pretty good practices, but nothing quite like the last two that we ve had the last two weeks, and I think that s the thing that we got to build upon. We weren t perfect in our practices, but we were better in the preparation, certainly does make a difference. And there s no doubt about it, I think everybody could sense that everybody could see it and you saw a little bit of that tonight. QUOTE THE LIONS QUARTERBACK MATTHEW STAFFORD On if he felt from the first drive that he and the offense were on in this game: I think we executed well tonight. We weren t perfect, left some points out there, turned it over. But our guys showed up and played really well. Our offensive line did a great job blocking. Our guys on the outside were winning and making plays. On how efficient the offense can be when he has time in the pocket: Yeah, no question. Those guys outside were doing a great job of winning, and I was just trying to get it to the open guy. And all sorts of guys were winning, and when we can spread people out and use a bunch of weapons like we did tonight, we re at our best. On how important it was to get to 4-4 on the year: Yeah, every game is huge, especially a division game on the road in a tough place to play like Lambeau. It was a game we were excited about, a Monday nighter. I m just glad we came out and performed. It was a total team win. Our defense played great. Our special teams was great as well. So, we keep putting performances like that together, we ll give ourselves a good chance to win. WIDE RECEIVER MARVIN JONES JR. On having almost 4 yards and four touchdowns in the past four games: I guess so. I mean, it s just execution all around the board. We had a great week of practice, a great week of preparation, and obviously our focus was on scoring touchdowns, helping our defense and winning this game. So, it was good. On if he envisioned the consistency that he has been playing with: Most definitely, obviously I want to be the guy that s going to make the plays, make all the plays I need to help this team. In our room, that s what we all want to be, and we re all doing that right now. So, it s just great to be a part of it, and we just still have more work to do. So, we ll get back to the drawing board and this will go away and then we focus on Cleveland. On how important it was to win this game and stay relevant in playoff talks: Obviously very important, and obviously I ll sound like Coach (Caldwell), it was the most important game because it was the next game. But we really needed this win kind of to try to catapult us into the last half of the season. So, it was a big win for us, and obviously it was division game. So, we needed to get it and just like I said, our practice was great all week and it showed out there tonight.

6 QUOTE THE LIONS CONTD. GUARD T.J. LANG On if it felt like past practices when blocking against former teammates at Green Bay: I think game tempo is obviously a little bit of a different beast. Guys are moving a little bit faster, everybody feels a little bit stronger, so it's good to see a lot of those guys though. Teammates for a long time with a lot of guys over there. On what made the difference in the running game tonight: I think we caught them in good timing. I think a lot of those screens that we were able to get off it seemed like they were bringing a lot of pressure. So, obviously that s a perfect time to call some screens when they re dropping a couple guys out of their secondary and pressuring the quarterback. I thought it was good timing and good execution. CORNERBACK DARIUS SLAY On winning a tough road game: "It is great. We are trying to win our division and take over. That is our job. We came out here and played our game like we needed to." On not having to face Aaron Rodgers: "We just knew that he (Hundley) wouldn't be able to do the stuff that Aaron does at the line of scrimmage, so we just wanted to go out there and make it tough for him. He is a talented guy. He is an NFL quarterback for sure, but we just knew it would tough for him to make all the checks like (Rodgers) does." On the offense and defense helping each other: "We did a good job of getting the offense the ball to take all that time off the clock. They did a good thing with managing the ball and we did a good job of getting them (Green Bay) off the field. It was a good team effort right there." RUNNING BACK AMEER ABDULLAH On what was working better for the offense in the red zone: Just executed. Beating them at the punch a lot of times. Still not as efficient as we would like, especially running the ball down there, we got to be better. But we want to be good in this division." On how big this win was tonight: I mean, we knew every division game counts for two. That s something that Matt (Stafford) emphasized all week. He was like, Man, this one counts for two, we need everybody to be keyed in. And he led the way today, his air attack was crazy. I love watching that, I love blocking for him, so I give this win to Matt. He really put us on his shoulders. 7 LIONS PRONUNCIATION GUIDE Active Roster Only Player Jared Abbrederis Ameer Abdullah Ezekiel Ansah Jarrad Davis Quandre Diggs Eric Ebron Tion Green Miles Killebrew Brian Mihalik Don Muhlbach Glover Quin Jake Rudock A'Shawn Robinson Jacquies Smith Teez Tabor Khyri Thornton Jeremiah Valoaga Tahir Whitehead Paul Worrilow Anthony Zettel Pronunciation abra-dare-iss ab-doo-lah ZEEK-e-all AHN-sa JARED KWAN-dray EE-bron TEE-on KILLA-brew mah-hahl-ick MULE-bach GLOW-ver ROO-dock AY-shawn jah-qweese TEASE TAY-ber KYE-ree VAL-oh-AH-ga TIE-eer WOR-ih-LOW ZEDDLE 7 LIONS COACHING STAFF NAME POSITION YEARS WITH LIONS/NFL Jim Caldwell Head Coach 4/7 Teryl Austin Defensive Coordinator 4/4 Jim Bob Cooter Offensive Coordinator 4/9 Joe Marciano Special Teams Coordinator 3/3 Ron Prince Asst. 7 The Lions completed their 3-7 win at Lambeau Field without recording a single punt in the game. The last time the Lions did not punt in a game was against Kansas City November 5, 97. The game also marked the first time in the history of Lambeau Field that a road team did not record a punt. In the first quarter against Green Bay, DT A Shawn Robinson blocked a 38-yard field goal attempt by the Packers that kept them off the scoreboard. The blocked field goal was the first of Robinson s career and the first by the Lions since November 6, 6 at Minnesota (DT Tyrunn Walker). Including wins in 5 and this year s 3-7 win, QB Matthew Stafford has now quarterbacked the Lions to wins at Lambeau Field in two of the past three seasons. Stafford became the first Lions quarterback to win two games at Lambeau Field since QB Bill Munson in 968 and 97. The last Lions quarterback to win two games on the road against the Packers was QB Eric Hipple in 983 (at Milwaukee) and Under Head Coach Jim Caldwell (since 4), the Lions have played on MNF six times and have posted a 4- record. The Lions have also won three of four on MNF dating back to a 35-7 win at New Orleans December, 5. Caldwell now has more Monday Night wins (4) than any coach in Lions history, as he surpassed the previous best of three by Monte Clark and Wayne Fontes. With one pass defense at Green Bay, CB Darius Slay has now recorded + pass defenses in four consecutive seasons (7 in 4, 3 in 5, 3 in 6). Slay joined CB Dré Bly (3-6) as the only Lions defensive players since 99 to record + pass defenses in four different seasons. 5 In the win at Green Bay, WR Golden Tate caught 7 passes for 3 yards. Tate now has 5 receptions through the season s first eight games and has accomplished this for the second time in his career (55 in 4). Tate and WR Herman Moore (55 in 995, 59 in 996, 57 in 997) are the only players in team history to ever record 5+ receptions through eight games. LIONS BY THE NUMBERS Among the Lions receiving totals against Green Bay included a 3-yard effort by WR Golden Tate and a 7-yard outing by WR Marvin Jones Jr. This marks the Lions first game with two -yard receivers since October 8, 5 vs. Chicago (WR Calvin Johnson, 66; WR Lance Moore 6). On the opening offensive drive of the game, QB Matthew Stafford connected with WR Marvin Jones Jr. on a 5-yard touchdown that marked Stafford s th career touchdown pass. By reaching career pass TDs in his 7th game, Stafford accomplished this feat in the sixth-fewest games in NFL history. (Credit: Elias Sports Bureau). Against the Packers, RB Theo Riddick caught 4 passes for 6 yards. Riddick has now recorded career receptions to become the third Lions running back in team history with + receptions (HOF RB Barry Sanders, 35; FB James Jones, 85). Riddick reached career receptions in his 6nd career game to achieve this milestone in the second-fewest games by a Lions running back. 3 At Green Bay, LB Tahir Whitehead registered 5 tackles, sack and Tackles for Loss. With five tackles, Whitehead reached 3 tackles for his career. 388 In three games against Green Bay since joining the Lions in 6, WR Marvin Jones Jr. has totaled 8 receptions for 388 yards and four touchdowns against the Packers. He finished Week 9 with seven receptions for 7 yards and two scores on Monday Night Football. 784 With 36 yards at Green Bay, QB Matthew Stafford has now thrown for 784 yards over the past two games, including 43 vs. Pittsburgh in Week 8 (/9). This marks Stafford s fourthhighest two-game total of his career and the most since 3 when he threw for 845 yards against Cincinnati (357, //3) and Dallas (488, /7/3).,4 Following the touchdown on the Lions first offensive possession at Green Bay, LS Don Muhlbach snapped on the successful PAT and assisted on the,4th point of his career. Overall, he now has helped produce,4 points, including 38 field goals and 47 PATs.

8 THE NEW FORD FIELD The Lions announced in February 7 that the Ford Family is investing approximately $ million into Ford Field for new video boards and several other renovations to be completed for the 7 Detroit Lions season. After 5 years, we still hear what a great venue Ford Field is from our fans, visiting teams and the great acts that have performed here, said Detroit Lions Team President Rod Wood. The Ford Family is making a substantial investment to make sure our stadium remains among the best, but ultimately it s still about winning football games. We want to get fans in the building having a great time and excited about what they re experiencing so that they can continue to help us create a home field advantage. VIDEO BOARDS In each end zone, the Daktronics main video displays are more than twice the size of the current displays and measure 39.5 feet high by 5 feet wide. Flanking the main displays will be four additional displays measuring 3 feet high by 59 feet wide that can be used individually or coordinated with the main displays for one continuous 7-foot presentation to show live video, instant replays, statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages. GRIDIRON CLUB The Gridiron Club capitalizes on Detroit s growing culinary recognition and the social scene that parallels it. Food takes center stage in this club, by the addition of several new Detroit-centric concessions manned by new local culinary sensations. Surrounding these unique concessions will be a lively dining and bar environment that has multiple large screen TV s. The highlight of this lively space is the unique lighting grid structure that hovers over all the club patrons that is a visual connection to the cooking grid iron that similarly hovers over the flames at these new culinary destinations. THE CORNER BAR Inspired by the memory of when the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers played on the same field, in the same stadium, and at the same CORNER. This new bar will highlight the special and unique Lions moments that have been captured in the memories by the NFL s most loyal and die-hard fans; the Detroit Lions Fan. The bar s classic design is inspired by all of the oldschool drinking holes that lined the Detroit streets around Briggs Stadium where the team played for nearly four decades. SOUTH CLUB & LOGE BOXES The South side area celebrates Detroit s tradition and takes its cues for the original Hudson s warehouse. The design aesthetic maintains this important history, and is elevated to include a greater brand presence through graphics, lighting and team colors. The furnishings and finishes will reflect a modern aesthetic while blending with existing elements. TERRACE CLUB & SUITES Social and communal gathering is the hallmark for this unique club on the north suite level. At its core are the theater box-style suites where a group of people can come together and watch the game but still have the option of gathering in a communal environment directly outside of their suite.

9 ONE-LIONERS AFRICAN FOOTBALL DE Ezekiel Ansah, a 6 Pro Bowler, launched the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation during the 7 NFL offseason. Ansah returned to his home country of Ghana in July 7 to host an American football camp with his foundation, which he believed was the country s first of its kind. More than 5 people attended. Get to know the 7 Detroit Lions on and off the field through their own stories My main focus is just really to give back and help my people. Also, try to introduce the sport to them. WELCOME HOME, T.J. A NEW MARVIN IN MOTOWN Pro Bowl G T.J. Lang returns home to Detroit in 7 after spending eight years in Green Bay. The Royal Oak, Mich. native played at Brother Rice High School and Eastern Michigan. He donated $5, to Eastern Michigan Athletics in April 7.
