In 2003, Carmelo Anthony was an All American as a freshman at Syracuse and led them to a National Championship. He was on ESPN every week and played in the Big East which at that time was the most visible conference in the country. Before the 2003 draft Carmelo signed with Bill Duffy of BDA Sports Management and landed a deal with Brand Jordan (a subsidiary of Nike) for 6 years and $18 million - far less than what a top 3 pick and National Champion should have gotten. Aaron Goodwin secured a deal with Nike, Jordan Brands parent company for 7 years and $90 million, which is still the largest rookie shoe deal in NBA history. Even though Carmelo may not have had the marketability to land the kind of deal that Lebron did, Carmelo was worth more than $18 million. Aaron also secured Lebron an additional $40 million in other endorsements deals totaling $130 million before he played a game in the NBA. DeMar DeRozan In 2016, Aaron Goodwin landed Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, a five-year deal for $140 million, at which time was the 2nd largest contract in NBA history. In 2012, Aaron Goodwin represented Lillard in the same draft class as Anthony Davis who signed with Arn tellen of Wasserman Media Group. Davis was the #1 pick out of Kentucky, which is one of the blue blood programs of college basketball and arguably the most visible and high profile program in the country.
