Saturday, Nov. 15, in a 8:30 p.m. (EST) non-conference contest in Romeoville, Ill. Ferris returns seven letterwinners from last season s team, which placed tied for fourth overall in the GLIAC s North Division with a 7-11 conference mark. **Ferris State s overall record and league finish last season were their best since compiling a mark and a fourth-place 10-8 league ledger during the season. ** Sall, who served for four seasons ( ) as the assistant men s basketball coach at Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC)-member Hillsdale (Mich.) College, previously was the top assistant coach at Ferris State for three seasons ( ) and spent part of the campaign as the Bulldogs interim head coach. In his brief tenure, Ferris recorded a 5-8 start under Sall before finishing the year with a 6-20 overall record. ** Junior guard Carlton Epps (Benton Harbor) presently ranks eighth on Ferris career steals chart with 109 thefts in 50 career appearances. The team Defensive Player Award winner recorded the program s eighth-best single-season steals mark with a teamleading 58 steals during the season. ** Senior guard Willie Thomas (Columbus, Ohio/Eastmoor Academy) registered the program s third-best single-season made threepoint field goal total with 69 treys in He needs 33 treys to tie Randy Price (102; ) for 10th place on the school s career leaders list. ** Sophomore guard Dennis Springs (Toledo, Ohio/Scott) totaled 155 assists last season, which represented the fourth-highest singleseason figure in school history. ** Ferris State s impressive basketball tradition includes nine GLIAC titles, six NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and a berth in the 1988 NCAA-II Elite Eight. Ferris, which last won the GLIAC Tournament championship during the campaign, captured a league record four consecutive conference titles from
