1 Tournament application is open to all Bergen County schools regardless of overall record. Varsity Tournament Dates Preliminary Round: Must be played BY Friday, April 26, Higher Seed* Secondary Round: Saturday, April 27, Higher Seed *In the case where teams cannot agree on a date prior to Friday April 26 th, the game must be played on Friday, April 26 th. Teams that are NOT able to play on the indicated date should not enter the 2019 tournament. Quarterfinals: Tuesday, April 30th, Higher Seed Semifinals: Thursday, May 2, Higher Seed Finals: Saturday, May 4, Higher Seed Game times shall be agreed upon by both teams. Please note that Saturday 5/4/19 is an SAT date.

2 Entry Form High School will enter the tournament. $ Varsity Entry Fee I understand that any injury to a player or member of the coaching staff incurred during the tournament, or any costs incurred as a result of any such injury, will not be the responsibility of the Bergen County Women Coaches Association or the holder of a certificate of insurance from the BCWCA, and my school agrees to indemnify and hold the BCWCA harmless from any such claim. 6 GENERAL INFORMATION: All entry forms, payment, or purchase order must ALL be received by Sunday, April 21, 2019 for seeding on Monday April 22, Games played up to and including Monday April 22, 2019 will be considered in the seeding meeting. Head coaches will be notified of their seed on the evening of Monday, April 22, Varsity tournament brackets will be posted on BCWCA web site by Tuesday, April 23 rd, The seeding meeting will take place on Monday, April 22 at 6:30 PM at IHA. Only the 2019 seeding committee attends. 2. All paperwork must be submitted as dated for a team to be seated. 3. NJSIAA and National Federation rules are in effect. Schools must arrange transportation to all game sites. All games are played at high seed. OFFICIALS: Head assigners will assign all officials except for the two preliminary play in games, which will be the responsibility of the host school. The tournament committee will pay all officials except for the two preliminary play in games, which will be the responsibility of the host school. The host school will supply an official timer/scoreboard operator during the preliminary rounds. Only NJSIAA registered officials will be assigned for the duration of the tournament. Schools should notify the tournament director of any unacceptable official. GAME BALLS: Each host school is to supply 6 NCAA NOCSE approved regulation yellow game balls to be approved by the assigned officials. STAT PERSONS: Each school is to supply two sideline personnel to keep statistics and manage game balls. Assigned officials must sign both stat books at the end of each played game. TEAM UNIFORMS: The higher seeded team will wear white uniforms. Teams must wear contrasting colors. Schools are responsible for confirming colors with their opponents prior to the date of the contest. Uniforms must comply with US Lacrosse Rulebook. AWARDS: A championship team plaque or trophy will be presented to the winning team. A second-place team plaque will also be awarded. RAIN-OUTS: In the case of rain, the site director on location is to make the decision and notify the tournament director and opposing teams no later than one and one half hours prior to game time. It is the responsibility of the coaches and the athletic

7 directors to reschedule the games within the week. Tournament games will take priority over any league game and must be completed prior to the next round. SECURITY: Each school is expected to have 1 administrator and 1 security personnel affiliated with their school in attendance at each of their school s games. GAME SCORES: The winning team s head coach is responsible for confirming and reporting accurate game statistics for both programs. ALL COUNTY TEAM & COY SELECTION MEETING: The All County Girls Lacrosse team selection and COY nominations will be held following all league meetings. Once they are announced we will select a date. ALL COUNTY HEAD COACHES SHOULD ATTEND. Please bring accurate statistics for each nominee that follows US Lacrosse guidelines. This is a good time to sit down and review that information with your statisticians and/or team managers: mens-rulebook.pdf 2020 Committee: The 2020 committee will be comprised of the tournament director, the 2019 county championship head coach and the 2019 league winner s head coaches. SPRING ALL COUNTY DINNER Will be held at 7:00PM on June 11 th, 2019 at the Fiesta on Route 17. Please a 5-6 sentences maximum about your first team recipient(s) to BCWCAlacrosse@gmail.com by June 9 th, As in previous seasons, the COY & First Team recipients will be guests of the BCWCA.
