On Friday night the team traveled to Milton Frank Stadium and defeated Huntsville With the win, the Huskies clinched the top seed in the playoffs from the region. Head Coach Josh Floyd was happy with the win and was also looking ahead. I m just excited we played like we can. I think we played up to our potential tonight. There is still room for improvement in a lot of different areas, obviously, but overall I think we played really well. Our defense did a nice job of not giving up a touchdown. We re obviously not done, we re just getting started, but being able to lock up the number one seed and getting another region championship is a big deal. Junior quarterback Paul Tyson had another big night for the Husky offense. After the Huskies won the toss and elected to receive, Tyson led the team to an opening score. He found senior Elliott McElwain down the middle of the field for a 52-yard touchdown. On the next drive, Tyson lofted a long pass to sophomore Dazalin Worsham for another score. The Huskies led The Husky defense forced Huntsville into a three-and-out and the offense took the ball again. Tyson hit senior Lee Reagan for a 46-yard gainer. Then, Reagan found the end zone as he caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Tyson. Huntsville took the next drive down the field, but had to
2 Page 2 of 11 settle for a field goal. Just before halftime Tyson again led the offense down the field. He threw his fourth touchdown pass of the first half when he connected with Worsham for a 24-yard score. The Huskies took a 28-3 lead into the locker room. In the third quarter the Huskies got their first rushing touchdown of the night. Antonio Reed broke loose and scored from 52-yards out. Later, Tyson threw his fifth touchdown pass of the night when he found Cameron Bledsoe for a 30-yard touchdown.
