1 Fantasy Football 2018 Rules Organization The league will consist of 12 teams with no divisions. Each team will consist of 14 NFL players (and defenses) selected from the rosters of the 32 NFL teams. The season will consist of 14 regular season games coinciding with the first 14 weeks of the NFL's regular season. Week 15 will be used for the Fantasy Football playoffs, where the top 4 teams will meet. Week 16 will be used to determine the Fantasy Bowl champ. (Weeks 15 and 16 will also be played by non-playoff team for high points for the week). Week 17 will be played for high points by all teams. Playoff berths will be awarded to the 3 best records and the wild card will be awarded to the team with the highest power rating (tie breakers are points scored, head-to-head). Seeding for the playoffs will be by power rating. Highest power rating versus lowest and 2nd versus 3rd. Best Record Tie Breakers: If teams are tied with the same record, the following tie-breakers will be applied: 2 teams - Head-To-Head - Power Rating - Most points scored - Coin toss 3 or more teams - Head-To-Head (only if 1 team sweeps all other tied teams) - Power Rating - Most points scored - Paper-Rock-Scissors Franchise Fees and Payoffs Each franchise owner will pay a franchise fee of $65 prior to the draft. The franchise fee is waived for the commissioner. In addition, owners will pay $1 for each player traded after the draft. Player pickups will be done on a sealed-bid basis. Money will be awarded as follows: $10 - Awarded each week to team scoring high points. 45% of remaining money - Fantasy Bowl champ 30% of remaining money - Runner-up 15% of remaining money - 3rd place team 10% of remaining money - 4th place team 1

2 All funds collected will be awarded. Lineups Each franchise owner will be responsible for providing the commissioner with his lineup each week. Lineups may be changed for players that have not yet started their NFL game. If a lineup is not received the first week- the roster will be made using the highest drafted players at their positions. Each week's line-up must be selected from the franchise's 14 players. The line-up must consist of: Kicker (1) Quarterback (1) Running Back (1) H-Back (1) [Can be RB or WR/TE for run-and-shoot offense] Receivers (3) Team Defense (1) Reserves (3) [Any WR/TE combination] [Any position - total points of reserves used. If still tied - the game is a tie] NOTE: Team quarterback/kicker rule is in effect. Since weekly stats are imported, then each player that is listed as either a quarterback or kicker will have his stats accumulated for that position/team. This means that only players that are listed as a quarterback or kicker will apply to the team quarterback/kicker positions. For example, if a wide receiver lines up at quarterback and either throws/runs for a touchdown or 2 point conversion, then those points do NOT apply to the team quarterback position. In this case the fantasy points will be awarded to the actual player. This will eliminate any debate about whether or not a player that is not listed as a quarterback involved in a scoring play lined up as the quarterback or not. As another example, if a punter should happen to fake a punt and throw a touchdown, under the old rules that would count towards the team quarterback since he took the direct snap from center, but does not count under the new rules. Contingency Backup Plan In the case where the status of a player is a 'game time decision', you can provide a contingency plan. In the Comment section of the lineup form, you can specify who you would like to have as the player's replacement in case the player is ruled inactive for the game. This only applies to running backs and wide receivers as the other positions are team positions. The backup plan must be included in the instructions for your starting lineup or ed to me prior to the start of the game(s) in which the questionable players will be playing in. Also note that if you specify a reserve as a backup, then you should also specify another player to be used to take his place. 2

3 Injured Reserves If a player on a team's roster is suspended, holding out or on the injured reserve report (must be questionable, doubtful or out), then that player can be put on injured reserve and another player can be picked up without having to drop the injured reserve player. Up to 3 players can be carried on injured reserve. Picking up a player to replace the injured reserve player will go by the same procedure as normally picking up a player, meaning that bidding takes place before Tuesday at 10 pm and then it is $1 on a first come first served basis after 10 pm on Tuesday. Also note that a player on injured reserve cannot be used in a starting lineup. Once a player comes off injured reserve then either that player or another player must be dropped from the roster (at no charge). Bye Weeks - We will be rolling a player s points over into the next week when a player is going into a bye. The assumption will be that you always intend to roll a player s points UNLESS you state otherwise. - Roster changes can be made up to kickoff for the first game of the week with the exception of Thursday night games. If you have a player in your starting lineup for a Thursday night game, then you cannot remove or trade that player until the following week. If you did not have him in your starting lineup, then you can drop or trade him that Friday-Sunday. The Draft The draft will be held on Labor Day. We will use a snake draft and the order will be determined by a random pick. Even rounds will then be the reverse of the odd round. All odd rounds are the same and all even rounds are the same. Each franchise owner will draft a total of 14 NFL players (and defenses) from any of the NFL's 32 teams. If a drafted player should be cut prior to the beginning of the regular season, a free pickup will be allowed to replace that player. This replacement must be done by the beginning of the regular season, or it will be treated like a normal player pickup. Picking up Players After the Draft Players can be replaced on the owner's roster in 2 ways: - A player can be picked up from the remaining undrafted NFL players. When picking up a player, another player must be dropped from the owner's roster. Player pickups will be unlimited. Owners must submit a bid for players prior to 10 pm on Tuesday. Bids will have a minimum of $1. Bids can be in increments of 25 cents. At 10:00 pm on Tuesday, the owner submitting the highest bid will get the player. If there is a tie for the highest bid then the teams tying will resubmit their bids until a winner is determined. All pick-ups made after 10 pm on Tuesday will be on a first come, first served basis ($1). A player can be picked up until the start time for that player s game that week. So if a player is playing on Monday night, you have until game time Monday night to pick him up which also means you can still add him to your starting lineup (assuming that you still have at least 1 other position open for Monday night). 3

4 - Players can also be traded between team owners. Trading between teams is unlimited. All trades must be OK'd by the commissioner (this will eliminate 2 owners from 'stocking' a team). Trades will not be allowed by a team who has been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Trades cost $1 per trade. Multiplayer trades will be considered multiple transactions. When dropping a player from a roster, in order to give all team owners a fair chance to get that player, the player will go through the normal bidding process. After week 13 of the NFL season, the only roster changes allowed will be picking up free agents. No trading among teams will be allowed after week 13. Picking up players prior to the start of the regular season Player pickups can be made prior to the start of the regular season. These will be handled on a first come, first served basis and will be $1 per transaction (except for free moves allowed to teams who have a player cut prior to the start of the regular season). Scoring Points are awarded for players involved in scoring plays as follows: 1 point for each extra point 3 points for each field goal 3 points for each TD pass thrown 6 points for each TD scored 1 point for each 2-point conversion pass 2 points for each 2-point conversion score Defensive points are awarded as follows: 2 points for each safety scored by defensive team. This includes kicks blocked through the end zone and intentional safeties. 6 points for each touchdown scored by the defense due to fumble recovery, interception, or blocked kick. 1 point for each turnover (interception or fumble recovery) caused by the defense. Blocked kicks are NOT a turnover. Kickoff and punt returns for a touchdown will be counted as a defensive score and will not be awarded to the individual player. 2 points for a returned extra point attempt by the opposing offense. ADDITIONAL POINTS AWARDED FOR PERFORMANCE: Passing: 1 point for every 50 yards passing. Rushing/Receiving: 1 point for every 25 yards rush/receiving. NOTE - rushing and receiving yards are combined - a player with 80 yds rushing and 75 receiving has 155 yds (6 points). Defense: 1 point will be awarded for each sack. 4

5 In case of scoring discrepancies, FFA Stats will be the official source for stats. Commissioner The commissioner for the league will be responsible for providing weekly updates of standings. Standings will be published on the internet at by Tuesday evening. Preliminary reports will be posted Monday which will include all stats through Sunday night.
