SEASON-OPENING WIN With the victory over Golden State, the Hornets registered their fourth-straight season-opening victory the last time the Hornets lost a season opener was a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on November 3, 2004 at New Orleans Arena. THE STREAK CONTINUES Chris Paul had three steals against the Warriors, marking the 84 th consecutive game he has recorded a swipe dating back to the campaign Paul had at least one steal in 79 appearances last year and his current streak is the longest active stretch in the NBA. PERFECT PRESEASON New Orleans finished the pre-season with a perfect record of 7-0 for the first time in franchise history. GOLDEN BOY Chris Paul was a busy guy over the summer as a member of the 2008 Olympic Gold Men s Basketball team Team USA boasted an unblemished record en route to the Gold Medal and Paul was a solid contributor off the bench at the point guard slot, averaging 8.0 points and 4.0 assists in 21.9 minutes He shot 50-percent (19-of-38) from the floor and hit on 22-of-24 FT attempts (91.7-percent).
