The Cowgirls are 0-4 this season against Top 25 competition after losses to No. 25 Oregon State, No. 2 Baylor, No. 16 Texas and No. 25 Kansas State. A win would be the first for OSU over a ranked team since defeating No. 24 West Virginia on Feb. 13, OSU will be looking to avoid its first four-game losing streak since January of Kaylee Jensen enters the contest as the league s leading scorer (18.6 ppg) and its top rebounder at 10.3 boards per outing. Jensen s nine double-doubles are tops in the Big 12. Jensen has 19 career double-doubles, one shy of tying Jackie Glosson for eighth on the OSU s all-time list. Her 118 career blocks are 36 shy of joining Christian Hood for second on the school s all-time chart. Katelyn Loecker has dished out 23 assists in conference play against eight turnovers and ranks second overall among league players in assist-turnover ratio. KNOW THE FOE The Sooners enter play looking to bounce back from a loss at Texas during the midweek. OU is 9-1 this season at home with its lone setback coming against Oral Roberts on Dec. 4. OU leads the league in steals at 10.2 per game. Maddie Manning paces the Big 12 with her 2.4 steals per game, while Peyton Little is fourth at 1.9. Nancy Mulkey is third in the league with her 2.1 blocked shots per game. OSU VS. OKLAHOMA... THE SERIES Last year, OSU swept the regular-season series against its in-state rival for the first time since The Sooners won the most recent meeting, claiming a win at the Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City. The Cowgirls have not won back-to-back contests in Norman since winning three in a row from LAST TIME OUT The Cowgirls were dealt their third consecutive loss to a Top 25 opponent, losing to K-State on Jan. 14. Kaylee Jensen logged her ninth double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS The Cowgirls have had considerable success over the past decade-plus at home against non-conference foes. During that span, OSU has posted an 99-4 mark and has gone undefeated nine times. The Cowgirls had a 47-game non-conference winning streak, which came to an end in 2010 against No. 5 Duke. Since that time, the Cowgirls have reeled off 55 consecutive non-conference wins inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. Year Record Noteworthy OSU s sixth unbeaten home non-con slate in a row wins in a row is the second-longest current streak Fourth undefeated non-league home slate in a row Average margin of victory was Extended non-league home win streak to All six WNIT wins came at home Lone loss was to No. 5 Duke Started 0-3 before winning the last five MARCH MADNESS The Cowgirls are in the midst of a program-record 10 consecutive postseason appearances. With OSU s NCAA berth this season, it marks just the second time in program history the Cowgirls have made four NCAA appearances in a row. OSU made the NCAA field four consecutive years from JENSEN EARNS PRESEASON HONOR Kaylee Jensen was honored with the announcement of the Big 12 Conference Preseason All-Big 12 Team. 3 FIVE-YEAR PLAN Under the direction of head coach Jim Littell, the Cowgirl program has enjoyed unprecedented success, entrenching itself in the top half of the Big 12. The Cowgirls have appeared in the postseason all five years under his direction, making them one of just four teams in the league to do so. OSU has appeared in the NCAA tournament the past four seasons, joining Baylor and Oklahoma as the only program s to do so. The Cowgirls have won 20 games in each of the past five seasons. Only Baylor and West Virginia have done the same. OSU s 110 wins during that stretch are the third-best total among league schools as well. Team Record Postseason Appearances Baylor Five NCAAs West Virginia Four NCAAs, One WNIT Oklahoma State Four NCAAs, One WNIT Texas Four NCAAs Oklahoma Five NCAAs Iowa State Four NCAAs Kansas State Two NCAAs, Two WNITs TCU Three WNITs Texas Tech One NCAA, One WNIT Kansas Two NCAAs POST PRESENCE Entering her junior campaign, Kaylee Jensen will be the focal point of the Cowgirl squad and is one of the most prominent returning players in the Big 12. The memorial, which will reside on the northeast side of the OSU Athletics Center, is scheduled for completion in the spring of POLLING PLACES The Cowgirls picked up where they left off last season, finishing the year receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. This season, the Cowgirls received votes in the USA Today Sports NCAA Division I Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll. OSU tallied seven points in the poll. THE CENTURY MARK In his fifth season as OSU s head coach, Jim Littell recorded win No. 100 at the school with the Cowgirls victory at Texas Tech. Littell became the third Cowgirl head coach to do so, joining Dick Halterman (333 wins) and Kurt Budke (112 wins). With OSU s win against Loyola Marymount on Nov. 17, Littell matched Budke s win total. Fittingly, equalling the mark of his good friend on the fifth anniversary of Budke s death. ROARING 20S The Cowgirls made history last season, posting a 20-win campaign for the fifth year in a row. The feat marked the first time in program history OSU has enjoyed such a stretch.
