2 Warm up: 4 minutes = cones Players jog with a stick and a ball Blow whistle and players go ¾ speed for 30 sec. Blow whistle and players jog for 30 sec. Repeat for 4 minutes.
3 One on zero Full Field: 6 minutes. = balls = cone 15yards. Players line up on opposite sides of the goal. One at a time a player sprints out to the roup of balls and scoops a ball and then sprints to the cones and shoots on the cage Cones must be minimum 15yrds from top of the crease. Once all have gone repeat From the other end; 3 4 times: 6 minutes **Players chase shots if miss goal**
4 Two on zero Full Field: 6 minutes. = balls = cone 15yards. Players line up on opposite sides of the goal. Two at a time One form each line They run up field passing the ball. Need to stay spread out. s they reach the shooting cone player takes a shot. Once all have gone repeat from the other end. 3 4 times: 6 minutes **Players chase all missed shots**
5 Three Man Weave 6 minutes. = balls = cone 15yards. Players proceed down field doing three man weave. Once all have gone repeat From the other end; 3 4 times: 6 minutes **Players chase shots if miss goal**
6 Criss Cross Pass Full Field: 6 minutes. = balls = cone xxxxxx xxxxxx 15yards. xxxxxx xxxxxx Players line cones. 1 st Player takes 3 steps and throws to the 1 st player in next Line. That player cuts to the pass, catches it, takes 3 steps and passes to the 1 st player In the next line. Continue to 1 st player in last line. That player upon catching the pass Cuts to the goal and takes shot. o until all have gone and repeat from other end. 3 4 times. 6 minutes.
7 Circle rill One on zero - Both Ends: 5 minutes. = balls = cone. 15yards. Players alternate sides 1 player sprints around cones and receives a pass from the 1 st player in the other line. Catches pass and sprints to the goal to take a shot. 1 st guy in the other line repeats drill going the other way. 5 minutes
8 Circle rill Two on Zero Both Ends: 5 minutes. = balls = cone. 15yards 1 st player in each line sprints around cones. Player receives pass from 2 nd player in lternate line. That player receives pass and takes three steps and then passes to The other player cutting down the middle. That player takes shot at shot line. Next two repeat drill going the opposite way. 5 minutes
9 Circle rill Two on One Both Ends: 5 minutes. = balls = cone. x x 1 st player in each line sprints around cones. Player receives pass from 2 nd player in lternate line. That player receives pass. t same time the -Man runs out from the Line and the two player proceed to the goal in a two on one situation. Repeat drill with the next two going the other way. 5 Minutes
10 Circle rill Thee on Two Both Ends: 5 minutes. = balls = cone. x x x Same drill as the two on one drill but two player from one line go and one player from The other go. The 1 st two players are going all the way around the cones. The 2 nd Player from one of the lines cuts up the middle. The three player end up 3 across and Proceed to the goal 3 on 2. Two -Men leave at the same time from the Line. Only run from one end of the field. 5 minutes.
11 round Balls One on One with Outlet Pass 10 Minutes. = Ball. xxxx xxxx. Each line is designated as an offensive and or defensive line. Ball is placed behind the oal. 1 st two in each line sprint to ball on the whistle. If offensive player gets the ball He immediately looks up and passes to the braking offensive player in front of the cage. That players takes a quick shot. If defensive player gets the ball he immediately passed to the goalie and then the goalie Passes back to the same player as he is breaking up the side of the field. *Never up the Middle of the field on all outlet passes**
12 3 v 2 round Balls: ll Players lay on the ground facing the end line Coach rolls ball into middle of the pack. If Offense gets possession they have 30 seconds to run 3 V 2 but have to stay on that ½ of the field. If efense gets possession they must clear past the restraining line O O O
13 Water break ll players should stretch as they are waiting for water: 5 Minutes
14 Sweep rill from up top: ttack pases to ttack to Middie Up Top. s soon as Middie gets ball he runs the sweep at full speed in attempt to be the efender. t the end of the cones the sweeping Middie takes a shot. efenders should work on position pushing man out and timing the lift check when Offensive guys shoots. Lift up the shooters elbows as he shoots o not check OWN on the arms!!!!! O O O O O This can be run from both sidelines for more reps. lso same drill can be done down low for the attackmen -
15 Full Field Fast Breaks: 10 Minutes C = Coach = ttack M = Middie = efense MMMMM M C MMMMM C Coach takes shot on goalie. oalie saves ball and then hits braking Middie With on outlet pass. Middie sprints up field and runs the Fast Break. Repeat from other end. 10 minutes. efense slide package described above.
16 ½ Field 6 vs. 6 Both Ends: 15 Minutes xxxxxxx xxxxxxx Md Md Md Md Md Md 6 vs. 6 Offensive team moves ball around the outside looking for cutters / One on One opportunities while efense attempts offense from scoreing. On Change of possession, efense must clear the ball to mid field line. 15 Minutes
17 Full Field Maryland Unsettled: 15 Minutes = ttack M = Middie = efense 2 # 2 goes on defense with change in possession rill starts off as a Fast Break rill 1 st Playing #2 Line runs out, scoops ball and proceeds to run the fast break. s soon as there is a goal, shot with a save or missed cage, dropped ball, and or change of possession, The 1 st player in the #1 line breaks out for a pass and goes the other way. The player that was a number 2 must Chase the play and play defense. s soon as there is a stutter in the break going that way, the next player in the # 2 Line breaks out for an outlet pass going the other way. Both the original #1 and #2 stay in the drill and sprint Back to either play offense and or defense depending on the team they are on. rill goes up and down the field Until both teams are 6 vs. 6 in their prospective offensive zone. 15 minutes
