His background, former player, head coach and assistant coach in the NBA, as well as an assistant with USA Basketball, makes him very well qualified for this job. Assistant Coach Bill Bayno Bill Bayno is in his second season with the Pacers with a long coaching career at all levels in his background. The -year-old (//) Bayno is no stranger to head coach Nate McMillan, having been an assistant to McMillan two different times when he was the head coach at Portland. After that, Bayno was an assistant with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Toronto Raptors. He has been the director for the Adidas Nations Camp in Long Beach, Cal., and the Adidas Euro Camp in Treviso, Italy, since. Originally from Goshen, NY, Bayno played collegiately at UMass for two seasons before transferring to Sacred Heart where he was a Division II All-American.
