3 Tourney Information Thank you for all teams attending our annual Merry Mule Tournament. I would like to apologize to everyone as we are one varsity team short this year. I had a team under contract that said they would honor that contract or find a replacement, and then at the end of October they told me they were not coming. We looked around for a replacement and contacted several teams including larger schools in the metro, but as you can see we came up short. I have teams who would like to come in next year, but they would not break their current contracts to enter this year. Our JV team should be very competitive, and give everyone a quality game. The contests vs our JV will count on your varsity record, but on your max preps reporting you should indicate that it was a JV team in a Varsity Tourney. I have tried to pair everyone in pool play with teams they do not play in the regular season. For those teams who have to wait around for a bit we can provide you an area for your teams to relax and watch a movie if they will bring them. Thanks again for your support of our tourney and the best of luck to all teams!! Please submit a team roster, if you have not, as soon as possible There will be a hospitality room for coaches, workers, and school personnel at both gyms Indicated if you would like a meal on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Both. If there are any special allergies we should be aware of let us know. All head coaches will receive a tournament gift If you would like to order t-shirts for your team please turn in sizes by (I will have an example of the design sent) All buses can drop off in the front of the school and park in the back gravel lot There will be a minimum of 10 minutes given to warmup between each game. We will possibly start games a few minutes early, but we will stay close to the allotted times. We have added extra time in the first session during the lunch hour and started session two a little later to help with recover time and clean up. Locker rooms will be assigned up entry into the building. All equipment must be removed after each game. Coaches should make provisions to take care to team valuables. Fairfield High School will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. Tournament admission price is $4.00 per game or $6.00 for the day. All prices are the same, but babies in arms are free. will launder any team s uniforms or towels if needed. will provide balls and water for all team bench areas.
