TU s top defensive efforts have come against Grambling State (37), New Orleans (49), Marshall (51-2/21) and Southern Miss (2/24), Rice (54) North Carolina A&T (55), Maine (56), Albany State and Rice (1/28) (59), George Mason and SMU (60), Southern Miss (61), McNeese State (62) and East Carolina (64-2/11). A BENCH-MARK EFFORT Tulane s bench has been effective for the Green Wave this season, outscoring its opponents bench , and has bettered its opponents bench in 17 games. THE GRAND THEFT During the final seconds of TU s win at home over Marshall on Feb. 21, sophomore Kris Richard might have swiped his biggest theft of the season. Richard finished with two steals, but his final takeaway proved to be the difference when he stole the ball from the Herd s Chris Lutz with 28-seconds in the game and finished the play on a the break with an emphatic slam dunk, giving TU a three-point cushion and eventually the victory. SOMEONE CALL SECURITY TU is one of the top teams in C-USA when it comes to swiping the basketball from its opponents. TU is third in steals during league play with 7.53, and overall with 7.54 per game. Sophomore Kris Richard ranks second among the league s top steals leaders during C-USA contests with 2.13 per game, and is fourth overall with 1.96 per outing. Richard has six games with three or more steals this season, including a pair of contests with five thefts. THE PUCKETT LIST Senior Daniel Puckett will play in his 119th career game this Saturday vs. Memphis and will move into a two-way tie with Carlin Hartman ( ) for fifth place for career games played. Tulane has one league game remaining this season and one guaranteed contest in the Conference USA Tournament. Should Puckett play in both games, he would finish in fifth place for the most games played. The school record for most games played is 125 by three different players. WAVE RUNNERS Senior Robinson Louisme has shot better than 50 percent from the field in 64 percent of the time this season and 74 percent in the Green Wave s games over the last two seasons. Louisme ranks second on the school s career list for field goal percentage,.550 ( ), and is also Tulane s sixth all-time leading shot blocker with 114. Junior Kevin Sims and sophomore Kris Richard are TU s leading scorers during Conference USA play with 13.7 and 13.1 points per game, respectively. Sims has 11 double digits games in league play, including four of 20+ point performances, while Richard has finished in double figures 11 times, including a career-high 23 points at Southern Miss (2/24). Kevin Sims will become just the third player to lead Tulane in assists over the course of three straight seasons. Sims currently has 112 assists with at least two games remaining and is averaging 4.0 per game, which would give him 120 for the season. The only other two players to accomplish the feat were Joe Holston ( ) and Pointer Williams ( ). Kris Richard s 55 steals and 1.96 per game average has him on pace to break into TU s single season steals chart. With his current average, he would finish the year with 59 thefts, which would be good enough for 10th place. Kevin Sims six 20-point games this season are the most by a Green Wave player since Quincy Davis ( ) notched seven in TulaneGreenWave.com

In the second half, TU allowed Grambling State just two field goals during the final 14:33 and went over nine minutes without surrendering a field goal. The Green Wave gave up just 37 points, which marked the fewest points by an opponent since Marshall scored 36 points in a loss to Tulane in the first-ever meeting between the two schools at Fogelman Arena on Dec. 4, THE GREAT CHRISTMAS HEIST In its final game on its home floor prior to the Christmas holiday, the Tulane men s hoops team robbed North Carolina A&T of 15 steals en route to forcing the Aggies into 20 turnovers. The 15 steals are the most in a single game for the Green Wave since a similar 15-steal performance in an walloping of Morris Brown at Fogelman Arena on Jan TULANE SIGNS A PAIR OF STANDOUT GUARDS TO NATIONAL LETTERS-OF-INTENT Tulane University head men s basketball coach Dave Dickerson signed of two standout basketball players- Jordan Callahan and Aaron Holmes- to national letters-of-intent on Nov. 12, the first day of national signing day. Callahan is a 5-11, 170-pound point guard who graduated from Blessed Trinity in Roswell, Ga., in 2008 and is currently enrolled at The New Hampton School, a prep school in New Hampton, New Hampshire. As a high school star at Blessed Trinity under head coach Brian Marks, he led the team to a overall record during his final two years and earned honorable mention all-state and team MVP honors both seasons. During his senior campaign, Callahan averaged 14.3 points and 4.8 assists per game and set the school s single-season scoring mark with 443 points. A 6-5, 195-pound shooting guard from St. Petersburg, Fla., and 2006 graduate of St. Petersburg Catholic, Holmes originally signed with Florida State out of high school, but transferred to South Florida following his first semester. After sitting out one full year due to NCAA Transfer rules, he played in 18 conference games with the Bulls, but left USF after the campaign due to a coaching change. Holmes is currently enrolled at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla., and will have two years of eligibility remaining. Rated as a top 50 national prospect as a senior, Holmes scored 2,748 career points, the most in school history, and led St. Petersburg Catholic to four straight district titles and three trips to the state Final Four. He is the only player to be named All-Suncoast Player of the Year three times by the St. Petersburg Times ( ), and was also runner-up for Florida s Mr. Basketball in He also led his AAU team to the Showtime National title Tulane Starting Lineups McQueen-Puckett-Louisme-Richard-Sims McQueen-Puckett-Louisme-Timmons-Sims McQueen-Puckett-Timmons-Vianney-Sims Timmons-Puckett-Louisme-Richard-Sims McQueen-Puckett-Louisme-Vianney-Sims McQueen-Andersen-Puckett-Richard-Sims Booker-Mayhane-Louisme-Richard-Sims Miscellaneous Stats Led Team in Scoring Kevin Sims (25) Robinson Louisme (12)... 4 Daniel Puckett (6)... 4 Kris Richard (7)... 7 Asim McQueen (3)... 3 Kendall Timmons (1)... 1 Eric Vianney (1)... 1 Led Team in Rebounds Robinson Louisme (25). 11 Asim McQueen (11) Daniel Puckett (10)... 5 Kevin Sims (1)... 0 Johnny Mayhane (1)... 0 Kris Richard (3)... 2 David Booker (1)... 1 Led Team in Assists Kevin Sims (53) Daniel Puckett (7)... 2 Kris Richard (12)... 6 Eric Vianney (8)... 5 Johnny Mayhane (2)... 2 Trent Rogers (2)... 2 Asim McQueen (1)... 1 David Booker (1)... 1 Double Digit Scoring Kevin Sims (61) Robinson Louisme (40). 17 Daniel Puckett (18)... 7 Kris Richard (18) Asim McQueen (13) Eric Vianney (9)... 5 Kendall Timmons (2)... 2 Johnny Mayhane (2)... 1 Twenty-Point Games Kevin Sims (10)... 6 Daniel Puckett (4)... 4 Kris Richard (3)... 3 Robinson Louisme (2)... 1 Asim McQueen (1)... 1 Double Digit Rebounds Robinson Louisme (6)... 4 Asim McQueen (4)... 4 Daniel Puckett (1)... 1 Double-Doubles Robinson Louisme (5)... 3 Asim McQueen (2)... 2 Daniel Puckett (1)... 1 Five+ Assists Kevin Sims (31) Kris Richard (3)... 2 Trent Rogers (1)... 1 Eric Vianney (1)... 1 Dunks Robinson Louisme (17)... 9 Daniel Puckett (14)... 2 Kris Richard (10)... 9 Asim McQueen (5)... 2 Kendall Timmons (1)... 1 Johnny Mayhane (1)... 1 (Numbers in parentheses are career totals) TulaneGreenWave.com 7
