We are the Rider University BRONCS Please do not refer to us as Rider College Please do not refer to us as the Broncos Rider in Season Openers/ Home Openers/MAAC Openers Rider is 4-14 in the last 18 season openers having defeated Lafayette to open the season...rider is 9-13 in the last 22 home openers...the Broncs are 4-11 all-time in MAAC openers after losing at Manhattan on January 2, Ffrench Canadian Saint Joseph s grad and Canada native Whitney Ffrench joined the coaching staff in July, Ffrench played under Milligan at Saint Joseph s before assisting at Wagner College where she earned her master s degree. Three for Five Head coach Lynn Milligan, Associate Head Coach Pam Durkin and Assistant Coach John Miller all return for their fifth seasons. Head Coach Lynn Milligan Rider Head Coach Lynn Milligan is in her fifth season as head coach. Milligan came to Rider from Saint Joseph s University where she was a six-year assistant coach. Three of her last five recruiting classes for the Hawks were nationally ranked and the Hawks had 111 wins in her six seasons including five WNIT appearances. Prior to coaching at Saint Joseph s, Milligan was the top assistant coach at Drexel University for six seasons. Milligan is a 1992 graduate of then Rider College with a degree in Communication and earned her master s in Counseling in 1994 from Rider. Milligan was a two-sport stand out as Lynn Donovan lettering in basketball and softball. As a senior in 1992, Milligan helped lead the Broncs to a 9-3 record in the East Coast Conference and as a graduate assistant at Rider, the Broncs compiled a record including a record in the Northeast Conference. Milligan is the 19th head coach in the 73-year history of the sport at Rider. Streakers Rider had its five-game winning streak broken at Manhattan on January 2, that was Rider s longest winning streak since the season when the Broncs won seven in a row...the Broncs also posted four-game winning streaks during the , & , and seasons. Three for All The Broncs had made a three-point field goal in 104 straight games before the streak was ended at Princeton on December 5, the Broncs have made a three-pointer in 86 straight home games. 5 Rider s McKenzie MAAC Player of the Week - December 5-11 also honored by CollegeSportsMadness.com Fazzini MAAC Rookie of the Week - December 5-11 LAWRENCEVILLE Sophomore MyNeshia McKenzie (Springfield, Pa./Springfield (Delco)) and freshman Emily Fazzini (Wayne, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) of the Rider University women s basketball team were named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week respectively for all games December This is only the fifth time since the season that Rider has had a MAAC Player of the Week honoree. McKenzie, a member of the MAAC All-Rookie team as a freshman, had two double-doubles in Rider s 2-0 week and has had double-doubles in three straight games. Fazzini averaged 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds for the week and scored nine points while pulling down four rebounds and had two assists and a block in Rider s win at NJIT on December 11. Fazzini has started every game for Rider this season and is averaging over 23 minutes per contest while scoring 4.8 points and pulling down 2.6 rebounds. Rider s last MAAC Rookie of the Week honoree was McKenzie who won the award twice last season. For the week, McKenzie averaged 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds playing almost 32 minutes per contest. The Broncs defeated Stony Brook on December 6 and won at the New Jersey Institute of Technology on December 11. Against the Seawolves, McKenzie had 11 points and tied a career-high with 15 rebounds and against the Highlanders, McKenzie had 14 points, 11 in the second half and pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with three steals and two blocks. McKenzie leads the MAAC in rebounding and is third in free throw percentage, fifth in scoring, sixth in field goal percentage, eighth in minutes played, 13th in blocks and 15th in steals. Nationally, McKenzie is 24th in rebounding and 50th in free throw percentage. McKenzie now has 10 career double-doubles including five this year (eighth most in the nation) in earning her first conference recognition of the season. McKenzie was also honored by CollegeSportsMadness.com for all games played December In that span, McKenzie averaged 13.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game including a 16 point, 13 rebound effort against 20th ranked Georgetown. Rider took the Hoyas down to the wire before losing on December 4 in Washington, D.C. CollegeSportsMadness.com names a weekly award winner from each conference for each calendar week of both the men s and women s basketball seasons and will expand coverage to men s and women s soccer, baseball and softball and lacrosse. For the season, McKenzie is averaging 13.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Rider s last MAAC Player of the Week honoree was Tammy Meyers on November 24, This is the second time in Rider s 15 years in the MAAC that the Bronc women s basketball team has earned both awards in the same week. Patricka Smith and Iris Beistline earned MAAC Player and Rookie honors on December 1, 1997, Rider s first season in the conference.

Block Party Led by three blocks from junior Carleigh Brown, Rider blocked a season-high nine shots at Binghamton on December 17, Milligan s 100th The Lehigh game on December 29, 2010 was the 100th in the head coaching career of Lynn Milligan. Caitlin Bopps Loyola On January 9, 2012, for the third time in five career games against Loyola Maryland, Caitlin Bopp recorded a double-double and in her career against the Hounds, Bopp is averaging 11.6 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Heller Loves NY Senior Ali Heller made a career-high six threepointers and scored a career-high 26, 16 in the opening half as Rider won at St. Francis (NY) on November 30. In Rider s game at Binghamton on December 17, Heller scored 24 points, making five from long range. Last season, Heller finished 10th nationally in three-point field goal percentage...heller was definitely far sighted with 58 three pointers and 12 field goals from inside the arc as a junior...this season, Heller has 45 field goals, 32 from long range and is shooting 39.5 percent (32 for 81) from the new NCAA women s three-point distance. Heller in the Clutch For the second time in her career, Ali Heller won a game in the final seconds at the free throw line...against Fairleigh Dickinson on December 22, 2011, Rider trailed before Heller knocked down both free throws with 28.9 seconds left. Against Saint Peter s last season, Heller broke a tie in overtime giving Rider the win. Chambers Out Sironda Chambers has been declared academically ineligible for the spring semester. Census The current roster consists of four seniors, five juniors, two sophomores and four freshmen. D gets As Rider held Mount St. Mary s to 44 points on December 29, the 12th time (and fourth time this season) under head coach Lynn Milligan that Rider has held an opponent under 50 points...the Broncs held Stony Brook to 41 points on December 6...Rider held St. Francis (NY) to 22 points in the first half on November 30 and 48 points in the game and the Broncs held Bucknell to one field goal and seven points in the second half on November 13 in a win...in , Rider allowed only 41 points against Monmouth (November 19, 2009) and held the Hawks to 13 points in the second half. The Broncs also held Siena to 45 points in the 2010 MAAC tournament. 107 straight for 33 Senior Sarah Homan (#33) played the first four games of her Rider career before missing the game against Texas Pan-American on December 1, Homan has played in EVERY game since and ran her games played streak to 107 straight at Fairfield on February 2, overall, Homan has appeared in 111 of 112 games. Nocturnal Broncs Like an owl, the Broncs never sleep at night as Rider is 6-2 in games starting after 6pm this season. Sweet 16 Sophomore MyNeshia McKenzie pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds against Saint Peter s on January 15, 2012 and is currently 56th nationally with a 9.2 rebounds per game average.

7 Rider Alumni Former Broncs you may have heard of: Jack Armstrong. An All-American pitcher for Rider in 1985 as a sophomore, went on to start the 1990 Major League All-Star game as a rookie pitcher for the World Champion Cincinnati Reds. Clair Bee. An accounting professor, founded Rider varsity sports in and coached football, basketball and baseball. Compiled a 53-7 three-year record in basketball before moving on to LIU, where he won National Championships. A member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Bee wrote the popular Chip Hilton books and invented the shot clock and the three-second rule. Christine Catalanotto 05. Two-year letterwinner at Rider, graduating Magna cum Laude with a degree in Psychology. Served two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Wagner College and is now in her fourth season as an assistant coach at Manhattan College. Pam Durkin 97. Current women s basketball associate head coach at Rider. Speaking of Alumni 1997 Rider grad and current Associate Head Coach of the Broncs Pam Durkin was inducted into the Al Carino Basketball Club South Jersey Hall of Fame on February 10, Durkin, now in her fifth season on the coaching staff at Rider, was the 1997 Rider Female Athlete of the Year and earned All-Northeast Conference honors as a senior, ranking seventh in the nation in rebounding at 11.7 boards per game. In , Durkin was named the South Jersey Collegiate Player of the Year by the Al Carino Basketball Club and that year was inducted into the Sterling High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Hall of Famer 1995 Rider graduate and women s basketball star Jennifer Feeney was among five inductees into the Rider Athletics Hall of Fame on June 11, Feeney graduated fourth in career scoring at Rider with 1,262 points, fifth in career rebounds with 590 and seventh in career assists with 235. Harry Gamble 52. Member of the last football team at Rider (1951) and went on to be President of the Philadelphia Eagles...member of the Rider Athletics Hall of Fame. Dick Kuchen 66. Graduated from Rider as the career leader in rebounds and was fifth in career scoring, made the winning fouls shots as Rider upset NYU. Was the head coach at Cal-Berkley and Yale. Jack Madden 65. Graduated from Rider as the career leader in points and rebounds in basketball and was 20-5 as a Bronc pitcher on the baseball team. Went on to enjoy a long career as an NBA referee, including 25 NBA championship series games. Lynn Milligan 92, 94. Current head coach of the women s basketball team at Rider. Richard Digger Phelps 64. Played basketball and golf at Rider, coached basketball at University of Notre Dame, currently works with ESPN, member of Rider Athletics Hall of Fame. Lauren Thomer 04. After two seasons as an assistant at Army, Thomer was named the head coach at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York in October, 2009 and was awarded conference coach of the year honors in her first season. Jason Thompson 08. Four-year letterwinner for men s basketball...drafted by the Sacramento Kings of the NBA in the first round (12th pick overall) in In his fourth season with the Kings.

8 Madness for the Broncs Senior Ali Heller was named the CollegeSportsMadness.com Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women s Basketball Player of the Week for all games played November 27-December 3. At St. Francis (NY) on November 30, Heller made a career-high six three-pointers enroute to a career-high 26 points as Rider defeated the Terriers in Brooklyn Heights. Heller was eight for 14 from the field, including six for 10 from long distance and was a perfect four for four from the free throw line. Sophomore MyNeshia McKenzie was honored for her play December In that span, McKenzie averaged 13.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game including a 16 point, 13 rebound effort against 20th ranked Georgetown. February 12 - National Girls and Women in Sports Day The Rider University Department of Athletics will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday, February 12 during its women s basketball game against Manhattan...last season, over 1,100 fans witnessed the game which saw the Broncs prevail in double overtime against Iona. Kid s Day(s) Out Rider participated in three Kid s Day Out games this season...rider hosted Loyola Maryland on January 9, played at Iona on January 13 and tipped off at Niagara on January 27 at 11am at Niagara. The program from the NCAA encourages schools to center a women s basketball game around a field trip for kids (elementary and middle school) to visit a college campus and participate in several activities including the game. Ya-Ba-Double-Do This season, both MyNeshia McKenzie and Caitlin Bopp had double-doubles against Bucknell in Rider s win on November 13 with McKenzie recording her second double-double in a row at Penn (23 points, 12 rebounds) on November 19. McKenzie notched her third double-double of the season at #20 Georgetown on December 4, scoring 16 points while pulling in 13 rebounds and picked up double-double number four of the season (and ninth of her career) in Rider s win over Stony Brook on December 6 with 11 points and 15 rebounds...mckenzie notched her 10th career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in Rider s win at NJIT on December 11, 2011, picked up career double-double #11 against Niagara on January 4, 2012 with 11 points and 14 rebounds and scored double-double #12 against Marist on January 7, 2012 with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Bopp recorded her second double-double of the season and 17th of her career against Loyola Maryland on January 9, 2012 (16 points, 14 rebounds).

9 Last Time Out Rider was held to a season-low 35 points in a loss at Fairfield on February 2. Something Old... For the ninth consecutive year, Rider University s women s basketball games will be broadcast live via the Internet. In conjunction with NeuLion/JumpTV, the games will be available on pay per view via the Internet link located at Next Time Out Rider hosts Canisius on Friday, February 10 at 7:05pm in Alumni Gymnasium.
