The officials shall: a) Assess and administrative technical foul to Team A. Award Team B two free throws and award Team A the ball at the point of interruption. b) Assess an administrative technical foul to Team A. 3 10. A1 s throw-in hits an official who is on the court. After the ball hits the official, A1 enters the court and is the first to touch the ball: a) Legal, play continues b) Throw-in violation on A1 c) Technical foul on A1 11. Team A scores and takes a one point lead with five seconds remaining in the 4 th quarter. The coach of Team B immediately requests and is granted a timeout in order to advance the ball. After reporting the timeout to the table, the officials were informed that Team B has no timeouts remaining: a) Disregard the excessive timeout and continue play from point of interruption. b) Charge Team B with an administrative technical foul. Any player from Team A shall shoot two free throws for the technical foul and award a throw in for Team B on the end line (with no advancement). c) Charge Team B with an administrative technical foul and have any player from Team A shoot two free throws for the technical foul and allow Team B to advance the ball and be entitled to a throw in at the 28-foot hash mark in the front court. d) Charge Team B with an administrative technical foul and have any player from Team A shoot two free throws for the technical foul; put the ball back in play with a throw-in to Team A at the point of interruption under Team A s basket. 12. Player A1 is fouled by B1 in the act of shooting and falls to the floor. The ball does not go in the basket. Player A1 is upset with the contact on the foul and responds by causing excessive contact with B1 by shoving her. A1 is charged with a disqualifying foul: a) Eject A1, have B1 shoot two free throws for the unsportsmanlike foul. Then allow A1 s substitute to shoot two free throws with players lined up in the marked lane spaces and resume play from the result of the free throws. b) Allow A1 to shoot two free throws before she is ejected. A1 has the ball at her disposal after a made basket by Team B with 1:02 remaining to play in the 4 th quarter. Team B is in a full court press. At 58.5 seconds on the game clock the coach of Team A requests and is granted a timeout to advance the ball. The official does not allow the team to advance the ball, since the ball was first at A1 s disposal with more than one minute to play:

4 14. A1 shoots at the wrong basket is fouled by B1 during the shot, this is the 4 th Team B foul of the quarter. The ball goes into the basket: a) Count the two points for the basket to Team B; A1 gets one free throw, play resumes following free throw. b) Count the two points for the basket to Team B; play resumes with Team A being able to run the end line for the throw-in. c) Disallow the basket, no points are scored. Award A1 two free throws. Plan resumes following the free throws. d) Disallow the basket, no points are scored. Team A has a throw-in at the designated spot nearest to where the foul occurred. 15. After a timeout, the throw in is mistakenly awarded to Team B. B2 has inbounded the ball, but it has yet to be touched by anyone on the court when the table sounds a horn and tells the officials of the mistake. The officials rule that since the throw in has started, it is too late to correct the error. 16. A1 is holding the ball in her front court above the three-point arc, when her team mate is called for a three second violation, The official shall award Team B a throw in at the sideline closest to where A1 was holding the ball: 17. A4 is holding the ball while defender B5 also has one hand firmly on the ball. The official shall not signal jump ball because the defender only has one hand on the ball: 18. Team A takes a full time out and is ready to resume play after 20 seconds. The timer properly sounds the warning horn followed by the final horn, but the coach of Team B insists that her team is entitled to the full timeout. The officials shall assess a warning to the coach of Team B and report to the official scorer: 19. Several members of Team A have on undergarments, they all match the color of red in the player's jersey, not the color(s) of game shorts. Are the undergarments legal?

5 20. A1 is in the three second lane for two seconds, she moves laterally and places one foot outside the lane and is holding her second foot above the floor. She then returns to the lane for another two seconds and receives the ball and shoots; the officials rule this a legal play. Is the official correct? 21. A1 sets a screen along the sideline. She is stationary and has one foot on the sideline and one foot on the playing court, her feet are less than shoulder width apart. There is contact by defender B2 as she attempts to guard A2. This official allows play to continue, ruling this a legal screen. Is the official correct? 22. A1, while dribbling the ball in the backcourt, swears at the official regarding a previous play she is still upset about. The official calls a player/substitute technical foul; there are 27 seconds left on the shot clock: a) Any player from Team B will have two free throws with no players on the free throw lane. Team A will get the ball for a throw-in nearest to where the foul occurred, they will have 7 seconds to have the ball gain front court status (POI). b) Any player from Team B will have two free throws with no players on the free throw lane. Team B will get the ball for a throw-in at the division line opposite the table. c) Any player from Team B will have two free throws with no players on the free throw lane. Team B will get the ball for a throw-in nearest to where the foul occurred. d) Any player from Team B will have two free throws with no players on the free throw lane. Team A will get the ball for a throw-in at the division line opposite the table; if the pass goes into the backcourt, they will have 7 seconds to have the ball gain front court status. 23. Team A is in control of the ball when a held ball is called on the tableside of the lane. The AP arrow is set towards Team A. The Lead makes the call and is opposite the table, while the Trail is table side. The ball is put back in play by: a) No reset of the shot clock, the Lead will bounce the ball across the lane to A1. The Trail stays table side. b) Reset of the shot clock, the Lead will bounce the ball across the lane to A1. The Trail stays table side. c) No reset of the shot clock, the Lead and Trail will switch sides of the court, the Lead will hand the ball to A1. d) Reset the shot clock, the Lead and Trail will switch sides of the court, the Lead will hand the ball to A With 56.5 seconds left in the 4 th quarter, A1 rebounds a missed shot by B1 and immediately calls a timeout. Team A coach indicates that they want to advance the

6 ball to the 28 line opposite the table. The official rules they have to advance to the 28 line on the table side only; is the official correct: 25. A1 drives the lane when the trail official calls a foul. The Lead official (who is the referee) may overturn the trail s call if he/she believes it is incorrect:
