1 APPENDIX NBA All-Star Voting Terms & Conditions Guidelines for Voting Intro: It s never been easier to get your favorite players into the NBA All-Star Game 2017! This year, fans all around the world will have multiple ways to cast their vote. Responsive Web (Desktop & Mobile) Ballot To vote online from a desktop or mobile device, user must visit the official NBA All-Star 2017 ballot page at NBA.com/vote. All web votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations: 1. On ballot, user picks up to three front court players and up to two guards from each conference by clicking the Add button. a. To find a player, user can search for player by first or last name in the search bar provided, use the filter and/or sort function, or click on any of the quick jump alpha links until player is located. 2. Once selections are complete, user can click on Review & Submit button. 3. To change a pick, user can click the Remove button on the Review & Submit screen and select a different player. 4. To submit votes, user must complete the recaptcha, and click the SUBMIT VOTES button. 5. Users can submit a maximum of one (1) ballot, with up to ten (10) players selected, per device per 24 hours. 6. Voting is allowed for all NBA players on roster. 7. Voting window is from December 25, 2016 (11:00:00 AM January 16, 2017 (11:59:59 PM NBA App Ballot To vote from a mobile app, user must visit the official NBA All-Star 2017 ballot page within the NBA for ios or Android. All app votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations: 1. 2 Twitter Voting Rules: To vote via Twitter, the user must have a Twitter account and have the protect my Tweets option unchecked under the account s privacy settings. To submit a vote, the user must publish a Tweet from their account. All Twitter votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations: 1. To vote for NBA All-Star via Twitter, voters must publish a Tweet that includes the hashtag #NBAVOTE and the first and last name, or Twitter handle of the player that they want to see play in the NBA All-Star Game Voters can submit a maximum of 1 player name per Tweet. 4. Voters can submit a maximum of 10 valid votes per Twitter handle per day. 5. Each Tweet must be for a different NBA player. 6. Tweets must include the NBA All-Star Vote hashtag - #NBAVOTE - to be counted as valid votes. 7. Retweets and Replies will count as valid votes. 8. Valid votes must include a player s first and last name eg. John Wall or JohnWall. Sample Valid Tweet: I want to see John Wall JohnWall play in the NBA All-Star Game 2017 and watch him dunk! #NBAVOTE 9. Incentivized posts (that offer goods, products, services, prizes, money, or other incentives in exchange for votes for a specific player) will be discounted. Facebook Voting Rules: To vote via Facebook, the user must have a Facebook account or create a Facebook account. To submit a vote, the user must post a status update from their account. To vote for the NBA All-Star Vote via Facebook, voters must post a status update that includes the hashtag #NBAVOTE and the first and last name of the player that they want to see play in the NBA All-Star Game Voters can submit a maximum of 1 player name per Facebook Status post. 4. Voters can submit a maximum of 10 valid votes per Facebook ID per day. 5. Each Facebook Status post must be for a different NBA player. 6. Facebook Status posts must include the NBA All-Star Ballot hashtag - #NBAVOTE - to be counted as valid votes. 7. Commenting on another account s original status post will count as a valid vote. 8. Incentivized posts (that offer goods, products, services, prizes, money, or other incentives in exchange for votes for a specific player) will be discounted. Google Search Voting Rules: To vote via Google, search NBA Vote All-Star on Google on an internet enabled device. All Google votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations: 1. Voting window is from December 25, 2016 (11:00:00 AM January 16, 2017 (11:59:59 PM 2. User must search NBAVote All-Star on Google, then select a team from the resulting vote Card. a. User must then select a player(s) to vote for, then click the vote button to submit votes. 3. Alternatively, user can search NBAVote + team name, then select a player from the resulting vote card. 4. User must tap or click player to select; user may tap or click again to unselect. 5. Before submitting a vote via Google, users must log in with their verified Google Account. 6. Limit 1 vote per player per day. Limit 10 votes per day. Unlimited votes may be submitted, totaling no more than 10 unique players. Tencent NBA Community Voting Rules: To vote on Tencent NBA community, the user must have a QQ account. Users can submit their votes on The NBA All-Star promotion page and/or directly with a post on Tencent NBA community. All Tencent NBA community votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations: 1. To vote for the NBA All-Star Ballot on Tencent NBA community, user will visit China.NBA.com/vote, and select up to 10 players. 2. User will then click on the QQ share button, which will pop up the pre-populated Tencent post containing the selected player(s ) first & last name and designated hashtag, #2017NBA 全明星投票 # (translation: #2017nbaballot#). 3. User then shares this post to Tencent NBA Community to complete their vote. 4. Users are allowed up to 1 unique vote per 24 hours. Each vote can contain from 1-10 names, each name must be different. 5. All valid votes must include #2017NBA 全明星投票 # (translation: #2017nbaballot#), and the first and last name in Chinese of the player that they want to see play in the NBA All-Star Game Voting window is from December 25, 2016 (11:00:00 AM January 16, 2017 (11:59:59 PM. 4 To vote on Sina Weibo(weibo.com), the user must have a Sina Weibo account. Users can submit their votes on The NBA All-Star promotion page. All Sina Weibo votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations: 1. To vote for the NBA All-Star Voting on Sina Weibo, user will visit China.NBA.com/vote, and select up to 10 players. 2. User will then click on the Sina Weibo share button, which will pop up the pre-populated Sina post containing selected player(s ) first & last name and designated hashtag, #2017NBA 全明星投票 # (translation: #2017nbaballot#). 3. User then shares this post to complete their vote. 4. Users are allowed up to 1 vote per 24 hours. Each vote can contain from 1-10 names, each name must be different. 5. All valid votes must include #2017NBA 全明星投票 # (translation: #2017nbaballot#), and the first and last name in Chinese of the player(s) that they want to see play in the NBA All-Star Game Retweets do not count as valid votes. 7. 5 and affiliated entities and any persons employed by any of the foregoing, are not responsible and shall not be liable for any losses/injuries or any kind resulting from lost, incomplete, late, damaged or misdirected votes; inability to access the voting; difficulties, failures or malfunctions of computers and/or Internet connections or wireless services or other communications malfunctions; interrupted or unavailable network, server; failed computer hardware or software or other technical failures; garbled, lost, misrouted or scrambled transmissions; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion or for any technical problem which may cause the voting to be disrupted or corrupted; computer on-line systems, telecast, or cable malfunctions; human error; satellite transmission failures or delayed telecasts or preemption of or the failure of a cable affiliate to televise the promotion; any damage to entrants or any third person s computer and/or wireless device, and/or its contents related to or resulting from this promotion; any votes that are not in compliance with these Official Rules (such votes to be deemed disqualified), nor any other loss directly or indirectly caused by participation in this promotion or related voting. Any attempt to deliberately damage, destroy, tamper or vandalize the website or interfere with the voting is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Sponsors may, in their sole discretion, cancel, suspend or modify this promotion, the official rules, or any voting, at any time. In such case, the finalists will be selected from the eligible and verified votes received before termination, suspension, cancellation or modification of the promotion, or as otherwise determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the absolute right to disqualify any voter (and/or their respective vote(s)) who votes by any electronic, mechanical or automated means, or otherwise tampers with the voting process or promotion, or for any other reason, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion.
