Philadelphia received the pick in exchange for the 13th-overall selection, LB Kiko Alonso and CB Byron Maxwell. This marks just the second time since 2001 that Philadelphia has held a top-10 pick. The last time the Eagles picked in the top 10, they selected T Lane Johnson with the No. 4-overall pick in Before selecting Johnson, the Eagles previous two top-10 selections were DT Corey Simon (6th overall in 2000) and QB Donovan McNabb (2nd overall in 1999) This year marks the 10th time in franchise history that the Eagles have traded up in the 1st round and just the fifth time that Philadelphia has moved into the top 10 via trade. The last three 1st-round picks involving 1st-round advancement were DT Fletcher Cox (2012), DE Brandon Graham (2010) and WR Jeremy Maclin (2009) Former Eagles T Jerry Sisemore will represent Phildelphia on the second day of the draft and is slated to announce at least one of the team s two 3rd-round selections. A former 1st-round pick of the Eagles in 1973, Sisemore became a cornerstone of an offensive line that helped lead the Eagles to the playoffs in five consecutive seasons -- a stretch that included a berth in Super Bowl XV. Sisemore earned Pro Bowl honors following the 1979 and 1981 seasons and was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame in The 2016 Eagles Draft Party will be held on Thursday, April 28 in the SCA Club at Lincoln Financial Field beginning at 6:00 pm. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to watch up-to-the-minute first-round draft coverage, meet current Eagles players and Eagles alumni, tour the locker rooms and participate in on-field drills (weather permitting).
