1 TIM REBOWE Head coach 2015 COACHES BIOS in 2004 as the defense ranked 11th in the nation in passing yards allowed. Both of his starting safeties that year, C.C. Brown and Antwain Spann, would go on to the NFL. The following season, the pass defense finished 23rd in the nation in yards allowed. As a linebackers coach, Rebowe guided the team s leading tackler in all three seasons and also had two players earn All-Sun Belt recognition. In 1995, Rebowe took his first collegiate job, joining Darren Barbier s staff at Nicholls. From 95-99, he served as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator before coaching the receivers in Rebowe was part of the biggest turnaround in FCS history as the Colonels went 0-11 in 95 before earning a playoff spot the very next season with an 8-4 mark. Rebowe began his coaching career in 1988 at his alma mater, Destrehan High School. While at Destrehan, he coached future NFL Hall of Famer Ed Reed. Following his stint with Nicholls, Rebowe coached the cornerbacks at ULM from Rebowe earned his bachelor of science in physical education from LSU in He is married to the former Kim Robichaux and they have a daughter, Samantha, and a son, Tyler, who is an infielder on the Colonel baseball team. Tim Rebowe was named head football coach at Nicholls State University on Nov. 21, Rebowe, a 52-year old native of Norco, La., is the 10th head coach in the program s history. Rebowe, who coached at Louisiana-Lafayette as an assistant for 11 seasons and was a former assistant coach at Nicholls for six years, not only brings a wealth of experience coaching at the collegiate level, but has strong ties to the state of Louisiana having coached within the borders his entire career. Rebowe helped lead the Ragin Cajun program to four consecutive New Orleans Bowl victories and a conference championship under head coach Mark Hudspeth. During his tenure at ULL, Rebowe has served as the safeties coach ( , ) and linebackers coach ( ). Last season, ULL s defense ranked first in the Sun Belt in rushing yards allowed and red zone defense, while ranking second in points allowed. The defense finished with seven interceptions on the year, including two by cornerback Corey Trim, who was named All-Sun Belt Second Team Defense. Under Rebowe s tutelage in 2013, the Cajuns tied for the conference lead with 14 interceptions. Two years prior, his safeties combined for five interceptions, with three returned for touchdowns. 2 ROB CHRISTOPHEL OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR offense that produced the highest scoring average in school history for an 11-game season in 2007 as the Bears averaged 36.3 points. The Bears also averaged 49.5 points at home and posted a 5-1 record. The following year, the offense was fueled by an All-American tight end in Clay Harbor, who collected AP All-America and first-team All-MVFC honors for the third straight year in 2009 and went on to be selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. Likewise, the 2010 offensive unit produced a consensus All-American in OT David Arkin who was picked by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. The 2010 Bears finished 13th in THE CHRISTOPHEL FILE the nation in total offense (425.45) and 11th in rushing yards per game (214.18), while committing just 13 turnovers in 11 games. From 1997 to 2002, Christophel was offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., where the offensive units he guided were among the top 10 in passing offense and total offense in the NAIA from Christophel held a similar position from 1992 to 1997 at Idaho State after coaching at Murray State from 1984 to Christophel is a 1984 graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn. Rob Christophel is in his first season with the Nicholls State University football program as offensive coordinator. Christophel, a native of Reading, Ohio, joins the Colonel staff after spending eight seasons at Missouri State as the Bears offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. A veteran with more than 20 years of experience at the college level, Christophel s ties to Louisiana, as well as Coach Rebowe, came before his stint at Missouri State. From , Christophel served as offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Louisiana-Lafayette. During his tenure, ULL ranked seventh in the FBS in rushing offense in 2005 while leading the Sun Belt in nine offensive categories. In 2006, the Ragin Cajuns were 14th nationally and first in the Sun Belt in rushing offense and second in total offense. At Missouri State, Christophel s offense produced several national and conference high-ranking marks. In 2013, his Bears produced the second-most rushing yards (1,484) of any MVFC school in league games, and after helping engineer an offense that ranked 20th nationally in pass efficiency in 2011, his offense garnered another national ranking in 2012, allowing just 1.36 sacks per game, which ranked 22nd nationally. 4 ANTHONY CAMP DEFENSIVE LINE COACH Anthony Camp is in his first season with the Nicholls State University football program as the defensive line coach. Camp comes to Nicholls after coaching for six seasons in the high school ranks in his hometown of Baton Rouge. From , Camp was the defensive coordinator at Catholic High where the Bears compiled a 26-8 record during his three-year stint. Catholic shared the District 5-5A title in 2013 and won it outright in In his final season, the Bears finished 9-2 and advanced to the Division I select quarterfinals for the second straight year. Before coaching at Catholic, Camp spent three years at his alma mater, Parkview Baptist, as a defensive assistant. Murphy comes to Nicholls after spending three seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette as a graduate assistant. The last two campaigns, he served as an assistant coach for the wide receivers and was the scout team coordinator. In 2012, Murphy assisted the Ragin Cajun coaching staff in daily operations and helped with film breakdown. During his tenure at ULL, the team captured the 2013 Sun Belt championship, won at least nine games in each campaign and ended the season with a victory in the New Orleans Bowl. In 2013, wide receiver Jamal Robinson was named Second Team All-Sun Belt after recording 54 receptions for 862 yards and eight touchdowns. 5 ALAN RICARD RUNNING BACK COACH Alan Ricard is in his first season with the Nicholls State University football program as running backs coach. Ricard joins Nicholls after coaching the running backs for one season at The Apprentice School, a Division-III program in Virginia. Prior to the season, he completed an internship with the NFL s New York Jets during the summer which lasted through training camp. Ricard received his first coaching experience at Louisiana-Monroe, where he played fullback from After playing in the NFL for nine seasons, Ricard returned to ULM as a student assistant coach in While in Monroe, he completed his undergraduate degree in criminal justice. Following his playing career at ULM, Ricard played professionally in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens ( ), Buffalo Bills (2006) and Detroit Lions ( ). Ricard was part of the Ravens squad that won Super Bowl XXXV and in 2003; he was an alternate for the AFC Pro Bowl team after blocking for 2,000-yard rusher Jamal Lewis. Following retirement from the NFL, Ricard spent two years with the Comcast Sports Network in Baltimore, Md., where he brokedown matchups for upcoming games, as well as provided halftime and post-game analysis. A native of Lutcher, La., Roussel joins Nicholls after coaching at Archbishop Rummel for five seasons. Along with coaching the offensive line in each season, Roussel took over as offensive coordinator in 2014 as the Raiders finished the regular season undefeated at 10-0 and ranked No. 1 in the state in Class 5A. Rummel advanced to the Division I state semifinals and completed the season with an 11-1 record. During his tenure, Rummel won its first two state championships in football in 2012 and 2013 with 14-0 and 10-3 records, respectively. In his five seasons, Rummel produced two All-State offensive linemen and four All-District honorees. 6 MARCUS SCOTT DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH Marcus Scott is in his first season with the Nicholls State University football program as defensive backs coach. Scott, a native of New Orleans, comes to Nicholls after serving as head coach at West Jefferson High (La.) from During his tenure, the Buccaneers posted a record, reached the playoffs in each season and claimed two district titles in 2008 and After serving as an assistant coach under Hank Tierney at West Jefferson in 2007, Scott was promoted to head coach in A graduate of Jesuit, Scott started his coaching career as an assistant at Clark High in New Orleans. He then coached three years at his alma mater under Vic Eumont before taking a position at B.F. Terry High School in Rosenburg, Texas. Wallace, a native of Port Orange, Fla., comes to Nicholls after coaching at his alma mater, Louisiana College, for three seasons. While at LC, he served as codefensive coordinator, linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator. Last season, he helped guide an LC defense that ranked second in the American Southwest Conference in turnover margin at plus-eight. Wallace coached with Tim Rebowe at Louisiana-Lafayette for three seasons, working as a defensive and special teams assistant coach. While at ULL, the Ragin Cajuns won their first-ever bowl game by defeating San Diego State, 32-30, in the 2011 New Orleans Bowl. A 2008 graduate of Louisiana College, Wallace was a four-year member of the Wildcat football team from , playing linebacker while serving as a two-time team captain.
