1 Rules (Rules adopted by the Diocese of Covington Grade School Athletic Association Committee) Kentucky High School Athletic Association rules govern all levels with these exceptions/additions: 3 rd Grade Girls 27.5 inch ball, 9 rim (4) 8 minute Quarters with running clock except for last minute of 2 nd and 4 th Quarters for all dead ball situations. If less than (10) seconds left in the 4 th Quarter/Overtime the clock will not start until the ball crosses the half court line. Defense: Man to man ONLY, help defense is allowed Below the regulation foul line extended. Player must be reasonably engaged with the player they are guarding. Example: If the offensive player is at the 3 point line, you should be within (6) feet of that player. Half Court Defense only. NO pressing. Foul line: 9 feet Timeouts: (2) 60 Second per half. (1) each overtime. Timeouts do NOT carryover. Overtime: (2) minutes. Clock stop and go last 1 minute. Maximum 2 overtime periods. Full Court Defense throughout the game permitted. NO pressing with a 15 point or greater lead. Timeouts: (5) per game. (3) 60 second and (2) 30 second. 1 additional timeout per overtime period. Overtime (s) will be (3) minutes. ALL BRACKETS: A forfeit will be declared after a 10 minute grace period of game time. 3 Point shots count Coaches who are given (2) technical fouls will be asked to leave the gym and will result in a (1) game tournament suspension.
