His touchdown total might come down this year but we are projecting top numbers from him regardless. Rank Le'Veon Bell Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats PIT Bell had better total stats than most running backs in 2016 and that was with him playing only 12 games. Should he play all 16 he will fight for the top spot in all of fantasy football this season. Rank Melvin Gordon Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats LAC With the departure of Danny Woodhead, Melvin Gordon figures to be a three down back and has a great chance to exceed his 2016 numbers. Rank LeSean McCoy Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats BUF LeSean McCoy is only 29 years old. We only state this since people are letting him slip in drafts due to his "age," which is crazy. Shady will be leaned on quite a bit and will have another great season. Rank Jordan Howard Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats CHI Howard stepped up last season when Langford went down with an injury and never looked back. He should get three down work in Chicago but might face eight in the box every game due to Chicago's lack of passing attack. If you can weather the strom then you can get a top three pick for a value. His carries might come down a little as Henry has another year under his belt, but RB1 production should be expected. While Coleman will take some carries away from him again he is still a safe selection this year. With that said, bumping him down the rankings due to this is a little insane. We believe his reception total should increase this year. 5 Fournette keeps having stellar reports about him, highlighting his catching ability, which will make fantasy owners happy if he does get down and distance work. Fournette should be the first rookie running back off the board this season. With that said, he might be PPR gold and he is too interesting to rank him any lower for the 2017 campaign. After taking a year off, Lynch has returned and should see a good amount of work on what should be one of the NFLs most exciting offenses. Rank Isaiah Crowell Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats CLE The Browns did bolster their offensive line in the off season and Crowell should handle the bulk of the carries for them yet again in The issue is that the Browns have limited weapons, so defenses will be game planning to stop Crowell. Rank Dalvin Cook Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions (College Stats) MIN Cook ended his career at Florida State as the school's all-time leading rusher. He will face tougher competition in the NFL, but we believe he has a great chance to be the starter for the Vikings at some point this season (and maybe week one). Even though Green Bay drafted running backs late in the draft, it will be hard for them to take over the starting job. Rank Joe Mixon Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions (College Stats) CIN Mixon certainly has his off the field issues; however, all the reports on the rookie have him as a potential standout player this year. With that said, Cincy has two other serviceable backs and head coach Marvin Lewis is known for bringing rookies along slowly. Rank Bilal Powell Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats NYJ Powell had an amazing end to the 2016 season and looks to continue that momentum into Since the Jets figure to be behind in many games this year, his receptions could reach career highs. Rank Carlos Hyde Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats SF Hyde will have to prove himself as the starting running back for the 49ers due to a new coaching staff in town. Still, he should have first crack at the job based on his experience and the fact he will be a better blocking back than any rookie. However, the pedigree is there and he does have the tools to be a complete running back. We are betting he wins that battle.

While we think Peterson will end as the guy to own in New Orleans, Ingram will still have value in one of the NFL's best offenses. Rank Danny Woodhead Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats BAL It's no secret that Woodhead is one of FST's favorite players, but for good reason. He is always undervalued on draft day, but he always produces, especially in PPR formats. Rank Eddie Lacy Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats SEA After four years with Green Bay Eddie Lacy found a new home in Seattle. It seems like a perfect match as Seattle has been looking for a Lynch replacement in their run first offense, but Lacy has fooled fantasy owners before. Rank Mike Gillislee Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats NE Gillislee averaged 5.7 yards per carry the last two seasons with the Bills, and on his new team he has the potential to be a fantasy stud. Still, he is a New England running back and his usage rate could drive fantasy owners crazy this year. Rank Paul Perkins Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats NYG While many thought the Giants were going to get a running back in the draft or a free agent this offseason they did not make a splash. Perkins will be in a timeshare but should get first crack at starting in Rank Frank Gore Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats IND Gore just keeps surprising us and keeps having fantasy value year after year. While his time might be coming to the end, he should be a serviceable back yet again this year. Rank C.J. Anderson Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats DEN Anderson had a disappointing year last season and now has Jamaal Charles to share some carries with. Anderson will start the year as the goal line and early down RB for Denver. Rank Rob Kelley Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats WAS Kelley is slated as the starter for the Washington Redskins but he is nothing special and we feel will lose the starting role to the rookie Perine at some point this season. He could still have value the first few weeks. Rank LeGarrette Blount Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats PHI Blount is coming off a crazy 18 touchdown year with New England. A new home with the Eagles probably means less scoring opportunities, but he should get all the early down work for what might be one of the most improved offenses in football. Rank Doug Martin Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats TB Doug Martin will be suspended for the first three games of the season. Due to the suspension, we moved him even further down in our rankings. Rank Terrance West Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats BAL With Kenneth Dixon out of the year, West will handle early down work for the Ravens. 7 Many people believe Carolina drafting McCaffrey will not hurt Stewart's value too much this coming season, but we see it differently. Sure he will get touches but his upside is limited. A few injuries and a new team later, he finds himself as a huge boom or bust player going in the late rounds of drafts. Rank Samaje Perine Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions (College Stats) WAS Perine might not start week one as the Redskins primary back, but we are betting he certainly ends the year that way. Look for him in the later rounds of your draft as a perfect stash. Rank Darren McFadden Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats DAL The Elliott suspension will open the door for McFadden to have early season value and this makes him a must draft in all leagues. Rank Latavius Murray Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats MIN Murray did find the end zone 12 times for Oakland last season, but the Raiders let him walk in free agency. If Cook does not take the starting gig (but we think he does) for the Vikings, Murray could be sneaky value on draft day. Rank Derrick Henry Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats TEN Henry went from all the hype in the world in 2016 to a later round handcuff in The talent is there and if you draft DeMarco Murray you must find a way to get Henry as well, since the Titans typically employ a one back scheme. Rank Jacquizz Rodgers Team Bye Games Played Rushing Rushing Receptions Stats TB Doug Martin will be out the first three games of 2017 and we believe Sims will jump right into the starting role for the improved Tampa Bay offense. There is a chance Rodgers gets that role however, so keep an eye on that camp battle.
