The No. 4 seed Thunder produced its ninth straight season with a.500 or better record, one of just three teams (Houston and San Antonio) to maintain such a record in each of the last nine seasons. Oklahoma City finished as one of just four teams in the league in the Top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency (Golden State, Houston, Toronto). The Thunder ranked 10th in defensive rating with and in offensive rating with The Jazz and Thunder are meeting in the playoffs for the first time. Take Five: In the win over Utah on April 25, the Thunder overcame a 25-point deficit in the third quarter by mustering a 32-7 run in the final 8:30 of the frame, marking the largest comeback in Oklahoma City history across both the regular and postseason. This was the 2,556th time over the last 20 seasons (including both regular season and playoffs) that a team trailed by 25-or-more points in the third quarter and the first time that team entered the fourth tied or ahead. In this game, Russell Westbrook (45) and Paul George (34) combined for 79 points, the most by a duo in franchise playoff history while Westbrook joined Wilt Chamberlain (1964) and LeBron James (2012) as the only three players in NBA history with 45 points, 15 rebounds and five assists in a postseason game. Dominant in the Postseason: With a win over Miami on April 9, the Thunder clinched its eighth playoff berth. Since the 2010 postseason, OKC has earned the fourth-most wins (53) and ranks first in playoff blocks (656) and fast break points (1,565), second in rebounds (4,401) and second chance points (1,323), and third in points (10,312), steals (742), points in the paint (3,982) and points off opponent turnovers (1,555) while holding the seventhbest net rating (2.1). On April 23 at Utah, Steven Adams secured his 300th postseason board to become the first Thunder player to grab as many rebounds within his first 30 playoff starts. Also in that game, Carmelo Anthony grabbed his 500th playoff rebound, making him one of 11 active players with at least 500 rebounds and 1,700 points in the postseason.
