4 Schools Cup Grading Procedures Phase 1 5. For Phase 1 of the competition the following Grading Procedures apply: (i) (v) An individual school is able to enter a maximum of four (4) teams per division in one (1) local day. Exemptions to this rule may be granted from Netball NSW where venue and team entries allow. Schools may only enter teams into one (1) local day. Registrations will be confirmed on a first application basis. Once the maximum number of teams for the venue has been reached registrations will close, even if prior to the specified close of registration date. Schools will be divided into pools and play a round robin competition for the day. No finals series will be played. Schools will be allocated to pools based on competition or non-competition categories, as indicated on the Schools Cup entry form. The two categories will play in separate pools. a. Competition Category - scores will be kept and placing recorded. Teams will progress through to Phase 2 based on their placing within their pools. b. Non-Competition Category - scores will be kept with no ladder or placing recorded. Teams are not eligible to progress through to Phase 2. (vi) (vii) In the case where there are not enough teams in the non-competition category to create a separate pool, these teams will be automatically placed in the competition category pools. Where possible, schools will not have two teams in the same pool. In the event more than four (4) competitive pools are required at a Phase 1 Local Day, the teams who finish first place in each pool will then be ranked according to points and goal average (refer to rule 24 and 25 for details and calculations).
