The Huskers earned a first-round bye as the No. 4 seed in the tournament on the strength of a 10-6 record that included an 8-2 mark against Big 12 North Division foes. NU, which split a pair of games with Iowa State during the year, edged the 10-6 Cyclones in the No. 4 spot because of ISU s 7-3 mark against North opponents.
