2 Girls Basketball Parent Information Sheet Games: Games will be played Saturdays and Sundays November 4 th - December 10th. We will be off of practice and games the week of Thanksgiving (November 19th- 26th). Each team should expect to play 1-2 games per weekend and 8 total for the league. Practice: Practices begin the week of October 30th. Each team will have one hour of practice time per week. We will not hold practices the week of Thanksgiving (November 19 th - 26th). Practices will be held at Amarillo Netplex 4101 Hillside Road UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED BY YOUR COACH. Teams: If you signed up as an individual player, your coach should be in contact with you about your practice time. If you have not heard from your coach by Thursday, October 26th, please contact us at Jerseys: Jerseys will be given out at the first practice. Schedules: Schedules will be released on our website by Monday, October 30th. Admission: Admission will be charged for games. $3 for adults and students get in for free. CASH OR CHECK ONLY. This covers all games that day. Team Pictures: Pictures will take place at your childs second week of games (November 11 th - 12 th ). Picture forms will be handed out at the first week of practice. Each team will have an allotted time slot, please arrive in a timely manner.

3 Kindergarten-2 nd Grade Rules 27.5 sized basketball ONLY player to player defense (colored wristbands will be provided) Match opposing players according to ability level (there will be a chart on the scores table with ability level and corresponding wristband color) No pressing No zone defense. Defenders can only provide help in the lane. Free-throws will be shot from 14ft 8 minute quarters with a running clock 2 minute overtime (maximum 1 OT per game. If game is still tied, it will be ruled a tie) 2 timeouts per team/no extra timeouts in overtime UIL rules will be followed (fouls, lane violations, etc.) Players are only allowed to play on one team per age group 3 rd -8 th Grade Rules 28.5 sized basketball UIL rules will be followed (fouls, lane violations, etc.) 8 minute quarters with a running clock Clock will stop on free-throws, timeouts and the last minute of the 4 th quarter 2 minute overtime (maximum 2 OT s per game. If game is still tied, it will be ruled a tie) 2 timeouts per team/no extra timeouts in overtime Players are only allowed to play on one team per age group **Amarillo Netplex has a no tolerance policy for fighting, inappropriate language and unsportsmanlike conduct. These actions will result in automatic suspension from the league.**

A Netplex employee will be there to show you to your court. Please get on and off the court in a timely manner. Background Checks: In order to be a coach for Netplex Sports, you must complete a background check. If you have had a background check within the last calendar year, you can send a copy of that to Layne at netplexinfo@gmail.com. If you need to complete a background check, the cost is $10 and can be done online at: Once you have completed your background check, you can contact Layne to reserve your weekly practice time. Team Rosters: Teams rosters will be accessed through Quickscores. Please follow the link from our website: Contact Layne with questions at netplexinfo@gmail.com Jerseys: If your team is wearing Netplex jerseys, they will be given out at the first practice. If you have a player who is unpaid, they will not be given their jersey until they pay. If you choose to wear your own jerseys, your team will not be issued Netplex jerseys. Schedules: Schedules can be viewed at Game scores will be updated weekly. Admission: Please let your parents know that admission WILL be charged. $3 for adults and students get in for free. CASH OR CHECK ONLY. Each team will get 2 coaches wristbands per Saturday.
