1 WP 12X15 ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME Charles Webb Bulloch Academy ( ) Director of Athletics and Head Football Coach Bulloch Academy's all-time leader in wins as the Head Football Coach with a record of Football teams he coached averaged more than eight (8) wins per season. His teams made the state playoffs seven consecutive years and played in the state finals five times. After finishing as State Runner Up in 1977 he led the Gators to their first State Championship in school history in Another State Runner Up finish in 1981 was then followed by the back-to-back State Championship runs of 1982 and Named Coach of the Year four (4) times at the state level and eleven (11) times at the region level in four different sports at Bulloch Academy. Earned four degrees from Georgia Southern University, including the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in He was inducted into Phi Delta Kappa in Named Georgia Athletic Director of the Year in Received Distinguished Service Awards in 1993 from both the National Federation of State High School (NFSHS) Coaches Association and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). He completed the national requirements to become a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) in 1995 and earned the Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA) in 2001.

3 Angel Aycock BASKETBALL AND SOFTBALL Considered to be one of, if not, the best female athlete to ever play at Bulloch Academy. As one of the greatest women's basketball players in BA history she ranks first in career points (1,590) led the Lady Gators to a State Runner Up finish in Was selected to the All Region team all four years of her High School career. After being named an Honorable Mention All-State player her freshman season, she was named to the Coaches Association All-State team as a sophomore, Junior and Senior. Her #25 jersey was retired at the end of her playing career and still remains the only jersey ever retired by Bulloch Academy. Angel also excelled in softball for the Lady Gators and was a four time All Region and All State team selection. Helped lead the softball team to a State Championship in Signed a full scholarship to play softball for the University of South Florida. While at USF she was a member of the 1983 and 1984 teams that were National Slow Pitch Champions.

4 Wes Chester FOOTBALL From his quarterback position, lead the Bulloch Academy football team to back-to-back State Championships in 1982 and He still holds nine BA individual game, season, and career records including; the mark for the most touchdown passes in a career (31), interception return yards for a career (224), and most field goals in a season (10). Voted to the All Region and All State team as a Junior and a Senior. Widely regarded as one of the best All Around athletes Bulloch Academy has ever produced, he also led the BA baseball team to a State title in 1982 and the track team to titles in 1982 and 1983.

5 Randy Childs BASKETBALL A five sport athlete, at Bulloch Academy, who excelled on the basketball court for the Gators.signed a scholarship with South Georgia College after his Senior season at BA. Selected to the All Region team his Junior and Senior season.all-state Honorable mention his Junior year and a member of the All-State team as a Senior.was voted the Most Valuable Player during the season. Was a starting defensive end for the 1978 State Championship football team and garnered Statesboro Herald player of the week honors during the Gators Championship run. In 1978 and 1979, was a member of the Region Champion Boys track team that would eventually finish as State Runner Up both seasons as a Senior won the Region in Pole Vault and was a member of the Region Champion mile relay team was voted Most Valuable Player his Senior season. Selected to the 1979 All Region team and was All-State Honorable mention for the 1979 Gator baseball team. Played tennis his Junior and Senior year and was a member of the 1979 Region Championship team.

6 Dana Nevil TRACK Dr. Dana Nevil holds a number of firsts at Bulloch Academy. A member of BA's first graduating class in 1978, she was a 4-year starting first baseman of our first Lady Gator's Varsity Softball Team ( ; winning State Championships in 1976 and 1978), a four-year starter on BA's first Lady Gator's Varsity Basketball Team ( ; team's leading rebounder; State Runner-Up Team in 1977 and 1978), and the first 5-Gold Medal winner of our first Lady Gator's Track Team ( ; State Championship Team, 1978). Dana is most remembered as a natural gifted athlete and BA's first record-holding lady hurdler. She led the Lady Gators track team to a State Runner Up finish in 1977 and to the State Championship in During the 1977 season set, what was then, the State and BA record in the 120 yard low hurdles. At the 1978 State Championship track meet she won five gold medals winning individual gold in the low hurdles, 220 yard dash and the long jump. In the long jump she set a Bulloch Academy record by jumping 16'61/2 a record that she still owns today. Dana would add two more gold medals that day by winning gold as part of the winning 440 and sprint medal relay teams. She was named MVP of the Lady Gator track team in 1977 and In her career has a hurdler at Bulloch Academy.she never lost a race. After the 1978 season, Dana went on to represent BA at the Southeastern Independent Schools Spring Sports competition held in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she placed 1st in the 120-yard low hurdles. Also participated in Georgia's 1978 AAU Junior Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in the 400 meter hurdles a race she had never run before. She was a four year starter, at first base, for BA's softball team ( ) and helped lead the Lady Gators to the school's first State title in 1976, a State Runner Up finish in 1977, and then another State title in Also a four year starter for the Lady Gator basketball team.as the team's leading rebounder she led the Lady Gators to a State Runner finish in After graduating from Bulloch Academy, Dana earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Literature from the University of Georgia. She later earned her Ph.D. in Communicative Arts from Georgia State University in 1999.

7 1978 Football Team The team that won Bulloch Academy's first State Championship in football. The squad rolled to a 12-1 mark, under the guidance of Head Coach Charles Webb, to advance to the State Championship game. The Gators took the Championship by winning a hard fought semi-final game, at Samuel Elbert Academy, in a driving rainstorm. The next week the Gators would win the title by avenging their only loss of the season by defeating previously unbeaten Ocmulgee Academy In the Championship game, the Gators jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead, which was capped off by an 85 yard pass play (Robbie Brannen to Ken LeCain) that is still a BA record today. The Gators would continue to roll in the second half to clinch the school's first State title in any sport. The members of the 1978 Bulloch Academy State Football team were: Mitch Green, Bob Hanberry, Robbie Brannen, Destry Rogers, Jamie Nevil, Brett Brannen, Robert Cheshire, Ty Coleman, Neal Sapp, Brad Shiels, Les Hodges, David Lynch, Tim Forshee, Glen Hankinson, Jay Jordan, Jeff Stubbs, Tommy Sisson, Olin Lovett, Billy Mills, Bill Kent, David Averitt, Malcolm Daniel, Neal Lee, Wight Hodges, Jim Johnston, Caleb Cartee, Robby Williams, Chris Vickery, Mitch Nobles, Mike Shearouse, Chuck Thompson, Mark Childs, Jay Brannen, Ken LeCain, Sam Tillman, Randy Childs, Manager Jeff Owens, Head Coach Charles Webb, Assistant Coaches Jack Webb and Fred Lanier.
