North American STALLIONS Exhibition - Keith Richard enters the season as the reigning Sun Belt Conference and Louisiana Coach of the Year winner. It comes after a 24-win season, the third-most in school history and also the third biggest turnaround in the country from the year before. It was ULM s first 20-win season since Richard has more-than doubled ULM s win totals in back-to-back years - The Warhawks made a run to the CBI championship series last year for their 10th postseason appearance in school history and the first since They played their first-ever game in the month of April in their 63-year history. They were also the first team from the SBC to ever play a game in April - ULM returns four starters from last season. Senior Majok Deng headlines the lineup after earning All-Conference Third-Team honors last year. Deng registered 25 double-figure scoring games last season and finished sixth in ULM single-season history in blocks - Deng was named to the Preseason All-Conference Second-Team, while junior Nick Coppola earned recognition on the Third-Team. Deng was also named to the College Sports Madness Preseason All-SBC First-Team while Coppola was Third-Team - The Warhawks were picked to finished third in the SBC Preseason Poll. It comes after they finished in a tie for second-place in the SBC standings last season. In , ULM was picked to finish dead last preseason - ULM enters the year as one of three teams in the nation to not allow 75 points in a single game since (along with St. Peter s & Baylor) - It s the first-ever meeting between ULM and North American which is playing its first season at the varsity level (page 5) - ULM enters its second season without any APR penalties which Richard inherited when he took over at the helm. Richard has turned the program around athletically and academically as the Warhawks have won back-to-back-to-back Sun Belt Conference academic awards 1

3 ULM Notes Continued... - Coppola enters the year ranking second all-time in program history in career minutes per game with a 35.1 average. He played 1,384 minutes last year, third most in the nation and also third in single-season program history. Additionally, Coppola finished second in the SBC last season in both assist:turnover ratio (2.0) and assists (3.7 apg).
