2 MAKE IT 4 YEARS IN A ROW: The Cavaliers (50-32) finished with the 4 th -best record in the Eastern Conference and are headed to the postseason for the 4 th straight season (22 nd time in franchise history). CENTRAL CHAMPS: The Cavaliers also won the Central Division title for the 4 th straight season and just the 7 th time in team history (75-76, 08-09, 09-10, 14-15, 15-16, 16-17). They clinched the division title after a win at New York on April 9. ANOTHER 50-WIN SEASON: At 50-32, Cleveland notched their 4 th straight 50-win season and 11 th overall (88-89, 91-92, 92-93, 05-06, 06-07, 08-09, 09-10, 14-15, 15-16, & 17-18). GETTING OFFENSIVE In , the Cavs averaged points (5 th in NBA) on.476 shooting from the field (5 th in NBA) and 23.4 assists (12 th in NBA). They topped the 100-point plateau on 66 of 82 games. THE CENTURY MARK STREAK: From Nov. 1-Dec. 21, the Cavs scored 100 points or more in 26 straight games, their 2 nd - longest streak in team history (36 straight from 1/15/80-3/3/80). From Nov. 1-Jan. 28, the Cavs scored at least 100 points in 20 consecutive home games, their longest streak since (27 straight home games, 11/19/88-3/2/89) & 120+ POINTS: The Cavs had 110+ points on 46 occasions (38-8), including 120 points or more 21 times (19-2). From Feb & from March 19-25, the Cavs scored at least 120 points in a FRANCHISE-RECORD 4 straight games & 140+ POINTS: Cleveland put up 130+ points 5 times (4-1), including a season-high 140 points in their overtime win over Minnesota on Feb. 7. That was the most points the Cavs have ever scored at The Q (prev. 137, 11/23/16 vs. POR). EFFICIENT OFFENSE: This past season, the Cavs had 4 games with percentages of at least.500 from the field,.400 from three-point range and.900 from the charity stripe. Cleveland only accomplished that feat twice last season (11/25/16 vs. DAL, 2/8/17 at IND), one time in (4/5/16 at MIL) and none in ASSISTS: Cleveland dished out at least 30 assists on 7 occasions this past season, including 3 straight games from Dec That was their longest since March 8-16, 1993 (4 straight). HOLDING ON AFTER THREE QUARTERS Cleveland went undefeated when they led after three quarters at 39-0 (1.000), the only NBA team with a perfect record this past season. They also became the first team since to go undefeated in a single season when leading after three periods of play. The previous best percentage after leading through three quarters was.985 (64-1) by the Bulls in (STATS). THE LONG BALL Cleveland averaged 12.0 three-pointers made (3 rd in NBA) and shot.372 from long distance (6 th in NBA). 10+ THREES: The Cavs made 10 threes or more 64 times this past season (2 nd -most in team history), including 26 straight games from Nov. 9-Jan. 2. Their 26-game streak is a team record for consecutive games with 10 or more threes (prev. 16 twice, 10/25/16-11/29/16 and 3/9/16-4/5/16) and is tied for the 3 rd -longest streak in NBA history (Boston, 26 straight from 1/21/2017-3/15/2017). Only Houston has recorded longer stretches of consecutive games with 10 or more threes (55 straight from 10/25/2017-2/25/18 and 27 straight from 10/28/ /17/2016). 20+ TRIPLES: The Cavaliers made at least 20 threes on 2 occasions this season (21 vs. MIN on 2/7/18 and 20 vs. ATL on 12/12/17. The last time the Cavs overcame a deficit of at least 23 points was Nov. 11, 2006 vs. Boston (trailed by 25 PTS and won 94-93). SEASON) Player THE LOVE MACHINE In 59 games (all starts) this past season, Kevin Love had 31 double-doubles (tied-15 th -most in NBA) and averaged 17.6 points and a team-high 9.3 rebounds (12 th in NBA) in 28.0 minutes. He scored at least 20 points 26 times and 30-plus points 3 times. Love also shot.415 from deep (19 th in NBA) and a career-high.880 from the foul line (12 th in NBA). Love was one of two NBA players in to average at least 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 threes made per game (DeMarcus Cousins). DOUBLE-DIGIT BOARDS: Love grabbed at least 10 boards on 31 occasions. 1,000 THREES: Kevin Love nailed his 1,000 th career three-pointer in a win over Toronto on March 21, while tallying a double-double (23 PTS, 12 REB, 4 AST, 30 MIN). He is the only player in NBA history to have a career average at least 10.0 rebounds and make 1,000 threes or more ALL-STAR: Kevin Love was selected as a 2018 NBA All-Star reserve. Love joined LeBron James as a 2018 All-Star, marking the ninth time in franchise history that at least two Cavs players have been selected for the event (1972, 1989, 1992, 1993, 2005, 2009, 2015, 2017). He had a career-high 52 double-doubles (5 th in NBA) and a career-high 18 triple-doubles (2 nd in NBA). He was the ONLY player with at least 25.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 9.0 assists and a.500 FG% in and LED THE NBA in total points (2,251) & field goals made (857). 20S & 30S: He scored at least 20 points 68 times, 30 points 32 times and 40 points 4 times in He also shot at least.500 from the field 59 times. LEBRON AT THE BUZZER: On Feb. 7 against Minnesota, LeBron James hit the game-winning shot as time expired to give the Cavs a victory in overtime. It was his 5 th career game-winning buzzer beater (1/23/09 at GSW, 5/22/09 vs. ORL, 5/22/13 vs. IND, 5/10/15 vs. CHI) and 20 th career game winning basket in the final 20 seconds of a fourth quarter or overtime (regular and postseason, FTM and FGM). CAVS REBOUND KING: With his eighth rebound against the Wolves on Feb. 7, James passed Zydrunas Ilgauskas (5,904 REB) to become the Cavs all-time leader in total rebounds and is now one of three players in NBA history to currently lead a franchise in PTS, REB and AST (M. Garnett Minnesota Timberwolves). 8,000 ASSISTS: During a triple-double night versus Brooklyn (31 PTS, 12 REB, 11 AST) on Feb. 27, James became the 11 th player in NBA history to dish out 8,000 career assists with his final helper of the night.
