Tyson Chandler recorded his 10 th double-double of the year, and his third in a row with 10 points and 14 rebounds. New Orleans beat Dallas in the paint (38-28), with second-chance points (13-6), and on the fast break (24-8). 30 of Dallas 44 points from the bench came in the first half. Dallas was held to recording only one steal, while New Orleans recorded 10. New Orleans scored 19 points off of 14 Dallas turnovers, while Dallas was only able to score eight points off of seven Hornet turnovers. The win snaps a 13-game losing streak in Dallas. The last Hornet victory came on Jan. 24, 1998 when the Hornets won

PAUL IN PURSUIT OF BACK-TO-BACK MVP CALIBER SEASONS: Below are a few of Chris Paul s impressive numbers that demonstrate his dominant play at the point guard position. Paul has scored 20 or more points and dished out 10 or more assists 18 times this season and 33 times in the last 60 games dating back to last year. Paul s 30-plus point, 15-plus assist and zero turnover performance was the first of that caliber since John Stockton had 33 points, 15 assists and no turnovers on December 28, There have been 14 games during the NBA season in which a player has scored 20-plus points and had 13-plus assists Paul has registered nine of those contests and is one of only two players with multiple performances of that caliber. Paul scored 34 points, had nine assists, eight steals and four rebounds 12/20 vs. SAC, the third such game of his career only two other players have turned in multiple performances of that caliber since the season, in Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson both registered at least 30 points, nine assists and eight steals twice during that span.
