3 Director: Nancy Wefler USA Hockey Girls / Women s Liaison: Doug Foster Communications Director: Jennifer Rohloff Fall Development/Festival; declare the top team our sponsor Hurdle to Overcome: Players have to play 10 games together o Window: Needs to be played before and after high school play o 3 games at Fall Festival, 6 games after high school season Marketing Powerpoint Presentation Derrick and Glen are putting together a presentation to showcase girl s and women s hockey Need pictures from Erika Hockinson-Spande from end of the year tournament 3ft Warning Track It has been suggested that a warning line be painted as a safety precaution to skaters with their heads down, so they don t run into the boards Feedback from Arena Managers is needed to assess the cost IAHF October 10 th and 11 th -Girl s Hockey Try Hockey Not Present Old Business/Previous Action Items Pride Parade June 28 th -29 th Update o 10am-10pm on June 28 th o 10am-6pm on June 29 th o Parade is at 11am on Sunday, June 29 th and lasts 2-3hrs. Terasa Bonifas and Tracey Schilling-Hysjulien are in charge o b3comm@whamhockey.org for any questions/concerns o 65 people are needed for the parade; combination walkers/rollerbladers o One vehicle is allowed, so a truck is needed for the parade The Checks have been cut for the booth and parade o $ Application Fee for Parade, Booth, Vehicle, and Clean-Up We can sell products, NOT pop and food o Petty Cash is needed Logo: Free to be a hockey player Products o Board voted to order 3,000 white glow in the dark ¼ inch baby blue bracelets with wham website (2,000 bracelets cost $438.00) o Remaining Back-Packs from End of Year Tournament o Design/Budget for tanks at $10.00 Hockinson-Spande, Wright, Bessinger

4 Work with Tracey on how many tanks are reasonable. List in the Booth o Provide info about pick-up league with hockey finder; how to register, post for a team, etc. A Division Meeting the Winnie Brote End of the Year Tournament Morgan and Wright met with Winny Brodt to discuss Options for the Reformatting of the A Divsion Create and Elite A Organized Pick-Up League with one ref o There will be a try-out process and only players will make-it o There will be an A and B Team o $10 a game or $150 for the entire year o Jonnie Bloemers can be the coordinator. B1 Managers Concern: A players due to age 30 rule would register at B1 for primary and play A2 most of their games o Change drop-down age from 30 to 35-grandfather players that already moved-down Meeting with the rest of the A Division-Morgan and Wright July 15 th deadline for details to be finalized Confirmed reimbursements with apparel, awards (t-shirts), etc. Booked the ice for March 11 th -15 th, 2015! Development 2014 Development Cancelled 301 Advanced and Utilized the Ice for Goalie Clinic o Goalie and Goalie Advanced will split ice; Kim Hamlin will coach and will recruit others to assist with coaching There will be 1 coach to 4 goalies split between beginner and advanced an was sent out to sub goalie pool Need to compare registered earned versus budget $115 vs. $120 is due to the added dry-land Registered numbers so far: o 101: 22-Julie will help and bring all the jerseys; give away items; 35 backpack and trinket o 101A:31

5 Hockey Finder Pick-Up D1 Referee Meeting o 201:13 ($3,000 short; Julie names for 201 and 201A, so she can help recruit more) o 201A-15 o In order to break even 24 players must register per session An blast will be sent to members to get numbers o copy the blurb from the website o managers/commissioners follow-up with players Julie Hockeness will send Sandi Wewerka the s of women that attended the Try-Hockey event 401: Registration will be Open in June for the Clinic to run Mid-August through October 13 th. o Cathy and Robin are running 401, again. Gina Wright will send a list of equipment WHAM currently has, how much it s selling for, and when it needs to be sold by out to members Plan for next Years Development Have the Development Clinic s Ice Time Booked and Ready by the End of the Year Tournament o Have a Development Booth on Display for members to sign-up in person The Board has decided to hand out the remaining Jerseys to 101 players, and starting next year players will purchase a jersey as part of their registration fee. Divisions (24 Players a Session): C3 C1/C2 B3/B2 8 Sessions July-August Augsburg Ice Arena Mondays/Wednesdays Due to the Co-Branding WHAM will receive funding based off of numbers Meeting consisted of the following attendees: Dennis Alm, Nancy Wefler, June Wheeler, Gina Wright, & D1 President Paul Marshall Rule Changes Suggested/Made: Move from 3 to 5 penalties for game ejection including sitting the next game

6 Suspensions to be given to players for fighting based on circumstances; intent to injury; cited on the score sheet by the referee Signed score sheets will be considered final Teams must have a mandatory jersey # for subs 3 Strikes Policy in a Lifetime o A Team/Player/Coach/Ref is subject to be definitely suspended from WHAM if 3 incriminating complaints are made about him/her/them A quorum must be met when such a decision is made C3 Refs for Training Ground/Mentor: WHAM will work with D1 refs to schedule C3 games as a form of development Dennis and Paul liked the idea C3 managers should be included Referee (Suggested) Changes A one page contract will be provided to our D1 Schedulers Referee fees are going up to $40.00 Referees should pay for fees when there is a NO show on their behalf Use of Arbiter to Pay Referees WHAM is looking at paying our referees through Arbiter Need to talk to with managers to assess if have two payments in October and December for referee fees is feasible New Business Newsletter Next Meeting Date: Board Postions: President Gina Wright BVP Beth Chaplin Treasurer Jennifer Bessinger Congratulate National Teams (Beth Chaplin is getting rosters) Spring Virtual Meeting-Mini Overview: Managers MUST read by June 6th; $50 fine- MANDATORY RESPONSE REQUIRED Congrats Erika Hockinson-Spande on the birth of her baby boy!!!!
