3 CONNECTICUT WHALE PLAYER PROFILES 5 JACKIE RAINES FORWARD COLLEGE: Yale HOMETOWN: London, ON, CAN 1 SHENAE LUNDBERG GOALTENDER COLLEGE: Union HOMETOWN: Peterborough, NH During her college career Lundberg set Union s all-time career saves record with 3,023 as well as the NCAA record for saves in a shutout with 59 against Northeastern her senior season. Additionally Lundberg also received the Robert M. Ridings Award, given to a Union female senior with an outstanding display of attitude, ability, participation, and achievement. Lundberg began the season as a member of the New York Riveters, and was a part of the first trade of the NWHL to the Whale. 6 SHANNON DOYLE DEFENSE COLLEGE: Boston U HOMETOWN: Baldwin, ON, CAN 4 ANYA BATTAGLINO Doyle appeared in 36 her senior year, finishing the season with 29 points on four goals and 25 assists and led the team as a plus-33. She finished third among NCAA defensemen in points and ranked third in the nation with 106 blocked shots and was one of only three players to block over 100 shots in In her 18 games with the Whale last season, Doyle has 2 goals and 3 assists. FORWARD/DEFENSE COLLEGE: Boston U HOMETOWN: Waltham, MA 7 NICOLE KOSTA FORWARD COLLEGE: Quinnipiac HOMETOWN: Mississauga, ON, CAN Kosta finished her senior with 123 points in 137 games and was a Three-time ECAC Hockey Third Team Selection. Kosta is the third player in Quinnipiac program history to record 100 points and set a program high 11 game point streak during her career. In international play, Nicole played for Team Canada U-18 team at World Championships in Sweden in 2011, and was selected to the Canadian National U-22/Development Team in August 2013.

4 8 KELLY BABSTOCK 13 MOLLY ENGSTROM FORWARD COLLEGE: Quinnipiac HOMETOWN: Mississauga, ON, CAN Had 203 points in 147 career games as a Bobcat for a 1.38 points per game average and is the University s all time leading scorer. Her freshman year, Kelly was named the ECAC Player of the Year. After her senior campaign, Babstock became the first Quinnipiac player to be named a Top- 10 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Finalist, as well as the Bobcats first-ever All-American. She graduated from Quinnipiac as the program leader in every offensive category.while at Quinnipiac, Babstock also played lacrosse. In her first season with the Whale, Babstock notched 26 points in her 18 regular season games and 3 postseason games, for an average of 1.24 points per game. She finished fourth in league points total and assists. 10 KALIYA JOHNSON DEFENSE COLLEGE: Boston College HOMETOWN: Chandler, AZ DEFENSE COLLEGE: Wisconsin-Madison HOMETOWN: Siren, WI Engstrom earned a silver medal at the 2010 Olympic Games, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists, and was a bronze medalist in the 2006 Olympic Games. Engstrom s illustrious career includes the honors of the Media All-Star Team and Directorate Award for Best Defenseman at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. During her 112-game national team career, Engstrom helped the U.S. claim four IIHF Women s World Championship gold medals in 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2011, and two silver medals in 2004 and She earned the Directorate Award as the IIHF tournament s Top Defenseman in Engstrom also captured a first place win with the U.S. at the 2008 Four Nations Cup and five second-place finishes in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, and Engstrom played in the early years of the CWHL, playing for the Brampton Thunder in the league s inaugural season. Engstrom scored an overtime goal against the Mississauga Chiefs to win the CWHL s first championship game. Engstrom later reached the Clarkson Cup Final with the Minnesota Whitecaps in , and again with the Thunder in , before ending her CWHL career with the Boston Blades in Engstrom played college hockey at the University of Wisconsin from , scoring 85 points (28g, 57a) in 140 career games. A 2-time WCHA Defensive Player of the Year, Engstrom was also named a top 10 finalist for the 2005 Patty Kazmaier Award. Following Engstrom s junior year at Wisconsin, the defenseman was presented the Badger Award, given to the player who best exemplifies passion, humility, and unity. Johnson completed her collegiate career tied for ninth in defenseman scoring with 43 points and 10th in defenseman assists (36) at Boston College. Kaliya s 35 blocked shots were tied for second on the team in She was a member of the silver-medal winning U.S. squad at the 2012 IIHF U18 World Championship and the Junior Women s Hockey league first-team all-league squad in 2012 as she helped the North American Hockey Academy win the league championship. Additionally, Kaliya was the fastest skater at the 2009 USA Hockey national skills competition. 14 ELENA ORLANDO 14 FORWARD/DEFENSE COLLEGE: Quinnipiac HOMETOWN: San Jose, CA

5 16 MICAELA LONG 24 HALEY SKARUPA FORWARD COLLEGE: U of New Hampshire HOMETOWN: South Boston, MA Long had 126 points in her 143 games at the University of New Hampshire and attained a 1.55 points per game average in her senior season. Micaela skated in 17 games last season for the whale tallying 3 goals and 7 assists for a total of 10 points in the season. 17 DANA TRIVIGNO FORWARD COLLEGE: Boston College HOMETOWN: Setauket, NY FORWARD COLLEGE: Boston College HOMETOWN: Rockville, MD Had 244 points in 144 games for an average of 1.69 points per game with Boston College. Ranked third nationally in overall scoring and second nationally in points per game (1.92), her 31 goals ranked third nationally, and she was tied for fourth in goals per game (0.84), her 40 assists were tied for third nationally, and her 1.08 assists per game was third nationally, her three shorthanded goals were tied for second nationally, and she added five power-play goals, her seven game-winning goals were tied for third nationally, led the team with a +62 plus/minus rating and 221 shots on goal, had a 20-game point streak from Oct. 4 through Jan. 17, during which she recorded 46 points. Internationally, Skarupa is a two-time Junior Women s Hockey League Liz Turgeon Player of the Year (2011, 2012), a member of three U.S. Under-18 National Teams at the IIHF U18 World Championships, helped the team win the world championship in 2011, and earned silver medals in 2010 and 2012, led the 2012 tournament in goal scoring with 11 goals in five games, and was threetime USA Hockey Player Development Camp attendee (2008, 2009, 2010). Trivigno served as a team captain her senior season at Boston college and made it into school history books tied for sixth in career scoring with 138 points (57 goals, 81 assists), eighth in program history in goals and sixth in career assists, the program s 10th-best assists per game mark (0.55), tied for ninth in career game-winning goals (9), tied for second in career penalties (104) and second in career penalty minutes (216), and played the sixth-most games (148) in program history upon her graduation. Dana also competed with team USA as they won gold at the 2016 IIHF World Championships. 21 CYDNEY ROESLER 23 IVANA BILIC DEFENSE COLLEGE: Quinnipiac HOMETOWN: Stittsville, ON, CAN Named team captain her senior year, Roesler finished her collegiate career with 52 points in 141 games was named the team s best defenseman, and was named to the Nutmeg Classic All- Tournament team. In international play, Cydney competed and won silver medal at 2011 Women s Under-18 World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden playing for Team Canada, and won gold at the 2012 Women s Under-18 World Championship in Prevov & Zlin, Czech Republic. Additionally, she led all defensemen with three goals in five games played at the 2012 World Championship. DEFENSE COLLEGE: Bemidji State HOMETOWN: Coquitlam, BC, CAN Bilic served as an assistant captain her senior year and was named the WCHA defensive player of the year. In her final season, Ivana was the sixth-leading scoring defender in the WCHA, led the WCHA during league play with 89 blocked shots, led the WCHA offensively during league play with seven powerplay assists, and tied for fourth with 16 assists and ranked fifth with 19 points. She also played on Team Canada s National Development Team in the 2016 Nations Cup, helping guide them to a gold medal crown.

6 24 NICOLE STOCK 27 NICOLE CONNERY GOALTENDER COLLEGE: Brown HOMETOWN: Buffalo Grove, IL In 91 games in the net for Brown, Stock amassed a.921 career save percentage and added 2 assists during her collegiate career. She obtained All-Ivy League Honorable Mention honors in , and was an All-Ivy honoree again the following season and was selected to the All-Ivy and All-ECAC Second Teams as well. Stock minded the Whale s net in 6 games the season with a.929 save percentage. FORWARD COLLEGE: Quinnipiac HOMETOWN: Newmarket, ON, CAN Connery finished her collegiate campaign with 102 points in 145 games and became the fourth player in program history to record over 100 points. She also was a ECAC Hockey All-Tournament Team Selection her senior year. Internationally, Connery played for Canada Women s Under-18 Team and for Ontario Women s Under-18 Team. She was a part of a Team Canada s gold medal team at 2012 Under-18 Women s World Championship in Czech Republic. For team Ontario, Nicole won a gold medal playing for 2011 Women s Under-18 Canadian National Championship in Saguenay, Quebec for Team Ontario-Red, and won a silver medal in Canada Winter Games at Halifax, Nova Scotia for Team Ontario Under JUANA BARIBEAU 28 SAMANTHA FABER DEFENSE COLLEGE: Clarkson HOMETOWN: Amos, QC, CAN FORWARD COLLEGE: U of New Hampshire HOMETOWN: Mt.
