2 Introduction Thank you for considering a partnership with Hornets Hockey Club through one of our sponsorship packages. Our members and players are extremely appreciative of the local community s continued assistance and actively support our partners businesses where practical. Whilst the club has worked hard to establish its current position, the ongoing challenge is to maintain and improve for a long sustainable future. Your contribution to our club will be a key ingredient to our success. The club understands the importance of making contributions back to our business partners and we continue to develop initiatives that enable us to promote your business and products to our members, players and supporters. Sponsorship of a local sporting club can bring many benefits to your business. We aim to provide you with value for money packages that can bring many returns for your investment. These benefits include effective brand advertising with exposure to a targeted local market as well as wider exposure via our website (currently under construction for 2018) and other social media platforms. Our grounds are located at the Mount Isa Hockey Association where all clubs, association members and visitors converge each and every week for playing fixtures. 3 How Your Support Will Help Club Established in 1956, by a group of families that where committed to providing a local, safe and enjoyable environment for players of all ages and abilities by create an environment where friends become family through the great sport of Hockey. This continues to be our club s vision. Hornets Hockey Club prides itself on being a family club with an emphasis on getting parents involved in their children s activities. Many of our senior players have their kids playing juniors on a Saturday afternoon with father/son/daughter/brother/sister/wife/husband combinations frequently seen playing on Saturday afternoons. A number of our senior players have played together for many years and have seen a lot of members come and go, which can be contributed to the changing economic environment. Our club considers all funds coming into our organisation as being integral to the running of the club and to ensure a strong future for both our players and members. In 2017, we have worked hard as a club to identify areas within our club that will improve the sustainability and participation numbers. For 2018 we have set achievable goals, which will assist all members, from players, spectators, coaches and volunteers within the club to provide a club that is offering a professional yet social environment for the local Mount Isa community. Your sponsorship will directly invest in the development of our members, coaching staff and volunteers through things such as: Maintaining affordable membership / club fees for our junior members We are aiming to provide incentive options for juniors that bring a friend to register and play hockey. Presently we do not have an U16 team in the junior competition, however 2018 we are striving to rectify this.

4 Player development programs Working with the local RIHP Development Officer, club coaches and volunteers, we are aiming to hold skill development sessions throughout the year. These sessions will promote skill development across the grades and also representative preparation for any club members that wish to take that pathway. Coaching accreditations Coaching development is vital for the growth of hockey and our club is aiming to hold 2 coaching courses in All coaches currently have Community Coaching Certificates and for their development the club is aiming in supporting them to achieve their Level 1 Certificate. Umpiring accreditations Without umpires our games wouldn t happen. In order to contribute to the hockey association as a whole we are aiming to have 4 Community Umpire / Level 1 accreditations gained within the club in 2018 Sun safety options In 2018 we as a club will be promoting sun safety. As we don t have our own fields / clubroom, will have discussed options of how we will do this. We feel that a 6 x 3 and 3 x 3 gazebo, which will be set up each week at both senior and junior games, which will enable players and spectators the option of shade. These would be specially designed to allow promotion of club but also to a potential sponsor with their logo printed on the canvas. Ground Fees Each and every year all clubs are required to pay ground fees in the form of a one-off payment to the association. The fees cover the costs and maintenance for volunteers to maintain the fields and facilities. Fees are currently set at $1000 per year.

Each member / family that brings a sponsor to the club in the 2018 season will be rewarded with club dollars based on the type of sponsorship offered by the business. This will be used by the member/ families as they wish towards fees, uniforms etc. Please confirmation below the members full name. The cost of the sponsorship package selected on this application will be billed to the business by way of an invoice from Hornets Hockey Club with a due date of 30 days from the invoice date unless otherwise specified on the invoice The business will be entitled to receive only that which is listed in the sponsorship package unless otherwise specified on this application. We understand that Hornets Hockey Club appreciate our application to sponsor them, however for a variety of reasons may feel our sponsorship is inappropriate or in direct competition to a current sponsor and decline the application.
