7 Dallas Stars: Media Notes CAPITAL GAINS The Dallas Stars play host to the Washington Capitals Saturday night in the first of two meetings between the two clubs. Dallas has won threestraight contests against the Capitals and has earned a point in each of the last four meetings (30). The Stars currently boast an game home point streak (90) against Washington, having not lost at home in regulation since Oct. 7, 995. The Stars hold a 478 record alltime against Washington, including a record of 30 at home (Includes Minnesota totals). Forward TYLER SEGUIN led the team with six assists and seven points (6=7) in five games. Captain JAMIE BENN shared the club lead with four goals in five preseason contests.

8 ALEX CHIASSON shared second on the team, earning five points (3=5) in five tilts. A FOURCE TO BE RECONNED WITH Defenseman BRENDEN DILLON paced the Stars on Thursday night, notching an assist and adding a shorthanded goal for the third multipoint game of his NHL career. DILLON scored his firstcareer shorthanded goal Thursday night against the Panthers. The Stars are 0 in games when DILLON earns multiple points. CHIASSING AMY Stars forward ALEX CHIASSON scored the team s first goal of the 034 season Thursday night against CHIASSON made his NHL debut on April 3, 03 at Anaheim, and went on to score six goals and seven points in his first seven games. With the goal last night, CHIASSON now has eight career NHL points (7=8) in eight career NHL games and is the first Star to accomplish this feat since Mike Modano (98990). Through his first eight NHL games, The Montreal, Que. native boasts a 43.8% shooting percentage, having scored seven goals on just 6 shots. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Forward VERNON FIDDLER earned his first point of the season on Thursday with an assist on the Stars shorthanded tally. The 33yearold center finished the 03 season registering points (38=) over the final 3 games of the campaign. FIDDLER also won 65% of his faceoffs Thursday night against Florida, going 3for0 from the dot. Last season, The Edmonton, Alta. BATTLE OF WHITS Stars forward RAY WHITNEY notched a primary assist on Dallas first goal of the game Thursday night against Florida.
