The City is divided by the Vltava River and features some of the most beautiful architecture and historic buildings you will ever see. Some of the sights include but are not limited to are: The Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, the Historical Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square, Brewery Tour, and the Ruckl Crystal Factory. It is the largest Castle in the world and the history is incredible. It has always been one of the favorite tours on the trip. Of course, there are many Countries who will debate this however it is a great Tour and will give you an insight on the History and the process of making beer. For more information: THE TRIP INCLUDES A TOUR OF THE TEREZIN PRISON CAMP TEREZIN was a concentration camp 30 miles north of Prague in the Czech Republic during the World War II. It was originally a holiday resort reserved for Czech nobility. Terezín is contained within the walls of the famed fortress Theresienstadt, which was created by Emperor Joseph II of Austria in the late 18th century and named in honor of his mother, Empress Maria Theresa. By 1940 Nazi Germany had assigned the Gestapo to turn Terezín into a Jewish ghetto and concentration camp. It held primarily Jews from Czechoslovakia, as well as tens of thousands of Jews deported chiefly from Germany and Austria, as well as hundreds from the Netherlands and Denmark. 5 The Rückl Crystal Factory Tour The Rückl family glassworks is renowned for top-quality cut crystal since However, glass-melting tradition and time-tested glassmaking techniques have been handed down in this family from generation to generation for some three hundred years. During our guided tour of the Rückl glassworks, visitors may witness all the individual steps and traditional techniques of the glass-manufacturing process. Each stage of crystal production is explained and shown, including the art of mouth-blowing, delicate processes of the quality control, incredible craftsmanship of glass cutting and the painters studio. At the end of the Tour, Players and their families will have the opportunity to purchase some of the finest Lead Crystal in the world at the cheapest price possible. The Ruckl Family has been commissioned to produce Crystal Trophies for some of the Top Sporting Championships in the world including the replica Stanley Cup that is pictured to the left with Wayne Smith and Matej Hanak. Jan Marek World U-18 Invitational Hockey Tournament Tipsport Arena, Prague, CZ From the 4th to 7th of April 2019 at the Tipsport Arena and the Small Sports Hall in Prague will again take place the Tournament Jan Marek Memorial for category U18. The best International Tournament for Clubs in the U18 category in Europe has gained a big name during its existence and this year will be held for the Eighth time! Tipsport Arena Home of The Jan Marek World Invitational The Tipsport Arena was built in 1962 and has been the home of the HC Sparta Professional Hockey Team. Throughout its history there have been many elite players participate for this club with many of them going on to play in the NHL, World Championships, and the Olympic Games. The building has a seating capacity of 13,500 people for hockey and has hosted the World Championships for Hockey on four different occasions. What you will find out when you participate in this Tournament is how much the Czech People Love the Game of Ice Hockey!
