3 Spring League 2019 Rules and Regulations Coach's Agreement Game Times: Mites will play three 12 minute periods with changes every 1:30 Squirts will play three 12-minute periods Peewee and up will play three 15-minute periods All games will be preceded by a three-minute warm-up, starting when the Zamboni doors close. Team Rules: No team may roster anyone who is a senior in high school No player may be on a roster for more than one team in the same division Players cannot be added to a team's roster after that team has played 3 games Any roster additions must be made at least 48 hours before the team's next game and must be approved by league management Players must play at least 4 games in order to be eligible for playoffs Suspensions lasting longer than this season will be strictly enforced onto the individual player s High-School or Travel team Penalties: Mite: 1 minute minor, 2 minute double minor, 3 minute major + game misconduct Squirt: 1:30 minor, 3 minute double minor, 4 minute major + game misconduct Peewee and up: 2 minute minor, 4 minute double minor, 5 minute major + game misconduct U.S.A. Hockey Rules will govern the Spring League with the following exceptions: Blue line icing will be used in all games Touch-up off-sides (Pee-Wee-High School), Automatic Offsides for Squirt Division Checking for Bantam and HS levels Head Check: A minor, double-minor, or major penalty will be assessed to any player who recklessly or intentionally contacts a player in the head, including with the stick or by an illegal body check. Four infractions in a game is a game disqualification: Double minors equal two infractions. 10-minute misconducts equal one infraction. Fighting: Floyd Hall Arena will not tolerate fighting. All players who receive a penalty for fighting will be expelled from the league. NO EXCEPTIONS NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO PLAYERS EXPELLED FOR FIGHTING! All game misconduct penalties carry an automatic one game suspension All game misconduct penalties are subject to review by the league. Abuse of official will not be tolerated. Referees are instructed to remove abusive players, coaches, and spectators from the game or arena. Any player receiving a penalty for abuse of an official will receive a one game suspension. Any person removed for abusive behavior will be subject to discipline from Floyd Hall. Any off-ice altercation or inappropriate behavior including the areas by the locker room, the lobby, the bleachers, parking lot and other such areas, will NOT be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the league with no refund.
